My wife and I are renting our condo out and needed to repair our tub because of a rust spot right next to the drain. After calling a couple other places (including miracle method), Diamond Glaze was the only one that said he could fix the rust spot. He came out to give us a bid in the evening last week and we decided to go with him after debating for a little bit. He actually did a little bit of the prep work that night to make sure he could repair it and it turned out that the rust hadn't gone all the way through and he could make the repair. It wasn't cheap, but it was significantly cheaper than replacing the tub or going with a liner. Scheduling was easy and we agreed upon a time the following week for him to do the work.
He arrived slightly later than he had scheduled, but I appreciated that he called to let me know he would be about 20 minutes late. Since I was moving out of the condo, I had a ton of other tasks to take care of so I left for most of the day while he was doing the work and just came back in the evening when he was finished. The tub turned out beautifully and I was impressed with the result. He had to come back the following day after the finish cured to reinstall the drain, but it was pretty much all done in one day.
Overall, I liked the service and would most likely hire him again if I needed a tub refinished. I can see why some of the other reviews weren't happy with Doug's personality, since he is sort of a crumudgen, but I'm giving him a 5 star review for the service that he provides, especially since the other contractors that I contacted for this, weren't even willing to make the repair. -

After spending a day talking to different companies Doug convinced me to go with him because of his great reviews and service. My other option was Miracle Method but there on-line reviews weren't as good as Diamond Glaze. Also I went with DG because of the quickness of which he could come out and do the job, that was the best part of this whole experience he is fast.
Comes in one day and does everything, Throws everything way at my house, not cool. Cleans up fairly well. Instead of using blue tape he uses standard masking tape on floors he knows was painted and tears up my paint job. He says there was nothing he could have done, yes he could have used blue tape. WHICH is what I would have done as a DIY and have not had problems.
The next day (24hour wait time) I check the tub and am not happy. Pissed would be the best words to describe me. There are tiny bubbles, chips, and hair painted into the tub. I call him and he says that is part of the process, he'll buff it out for free. Again good service buffing it out quickly and responding to my concerns quickly. After buffing it out, one of the chips come off and exposes the porcelain tub. He says no big deal just a dab of paint and wait 24 hours again and done.
Well the hair is still in the tub the buffing did very little to make me happy, I know quality work, I have done it myself, I just didn't have the time to do it this time so I hired a pro and got amateur work.
To review, painted hair still in tub, buffed down bubbles, this is not high quality work. Either he screwed me or on this job or most people buy his line of B.S. of saying "this is a refinish and I'm saving you hundreds of dollars". I have done a better refinish than this. PERIOD. Use some one else if you want quality work, use Doug if you want a quick response and a know it all. This guy is about as unprofessional as it gets. I have dealt with many contractors over the years and have NEVER been talked to like this Doug guy did. He insulted me in my home after I had the audacity to point out how he left my entire upstairs with an inch thick of dust and spots all over the stairs! Who leaves a job like that? When I pointed out the dust all over he never apologized or offered a solution. His wife offered to come back and help clean it up. He never offered a thing except how to get more money out of me. I wouldn't use this guy if he was the last person on earth! Beware!!!

They did a great job on our very old tub. Scheduled when we needed it done and everything looks great. I, didn't even know this service existed. Very satisfied.

Diamond Glaze did a great job on refinishing the 40-50 year old tub in my house. Doug (the owner) was great to work with, professional and went above and beyond what would be expected. Thumbs up.

Doug: what a RUDE, unprofessional jack-a$$. not interested in doing a repair (quoted $310 for a 4 inch crack), only interested in a complete redo (for $750). insulted myself & my company in the house. he comes across as an extreemely aggressive car sales-man type & pushes for the hard sell. there is NO WAY i would hire this man or EVER refer him to any friends/family.

As a Realtor I deal with many service providers for my clients. In this case a client needed re-glazing services for a bathtub that was in "original" condition in a 50+ year-old home. Doug set up an appoinment immediately, provided us a fair bid, scheduled the job, and arrived with his team on time to do the work. The tub looks terrific, and my clients are very pleased with the finished product and the level of service. I will definitely use Diamond Glaze again.

These guys can work MAGIC! We had a problem with the bathtub in our previous place and called them. They left it like new. I completely recommend them.
