i used to call Dial A Story all the time as a child when my mom was tired of entertaining me. i didn't even know it still existed until i was checking out the library's webpage looking for hours info and saw that sweet, comforting three-word phrase 'DIAL-A-STORY'.

so i'm at work and totally bored, and i dial in. now, as i write this, i am totally into this 'little gorilla' story being read over the phone to me by someone who suspiciously sounds like my mother.

i am absolutely programming it into my phone for next time i am bored or lonely and need a little pick-me-up. waiting at the dentists's office? dial a story, fool. in line at the DMV? dial a story, man!! want to pretend you are making an important call in order to stave off communication with someone annoying? DIAL A STORY!!!
seriously, dial it.
