This is a great park for small kids as the playground keeps them entertained and is partially enclosed for security. This park is surrounded by soccer and softball fields and has many mature trees. Parking is decent (well, it depends on what time you go). If you happen to go on the weekend when there is a large soccer tournament parking may be hard to find parking but for the most part there is ample parking.
I was hired to do some http://www.GrillaxinBB... last weekend at Diablo Vista Park and it was a perfect setting for a 1 year old birthday party. There were lots of shade and the proximity to the play ground was great! There is also a little "spray ground" where a small water feature allowed kids to run trough the spraying water. Overall a great place to come hang with the your kids to hold a celebration. -

What can I say about good ol' DVP. It is an awesome park for the sports novice or expert. Very cool turf soccer field, respectable basketball courts, softball and baseball field.
I applaud and commend those families that spent an arm and a leg to live in those tiny homes, right on the main drag, with the halogen lights shining into their bedroom late into the night.....Way to go guys and gals.....great investment.
Anyways, due to the overflow of teeny boppers from McDonald's and the Pit, I dub thee 3 stars and award you no points......May God have mercy on your soul -

Newly redone and well done, Danville!
Aka "Snake Park" for the concrete snake structure winding up the hill. There's some water for splashing though your kid won't be completely drenched - unless they try real hard.
Love the new playground with the soft, cushion-y ground so my kid lands comfortably. Coolest see-saw ever! I like how they try to blend the old and new equipment. And there's shade.
My kid was entertained so 2 thumbs up! -

Sunday we try to make *Family Day* - or as Cinzia likes to call it "for the Whole Family." I wanted somewhere new, and a bit of a drive so the outing would last a little longer. We headed South on 580 and somehow found this park. Two different play areas for the kids, with structures for really small toddlers and those a bit older. All of the equipment looked new and well-maintained - except for the one Crank thing I called the "riverboat" - one or two kids turn this crank, which pulls the "boat" holding other kids back and forth) The poor kids cranked and cranked and cranked, but the little "boat" wouldn't budge. If it worked, I think it would be the hands-down favorite. There was also a cool rock structure for climbing (although oddly placed near the very young toddler area.)
I liked the concrete water snake - but the water wasn't running today. No matter, the kids loved climbing it and I liked the colored tiles running through it.
There are also fields devoted to soccer, baseball, etc. Picnic tables, plenty of parking.
A really nice park.Listed in: Good Clean Fun
