$300K?!?!  There are beautiful homes for well under $250K and many less than $200K.  Jefferson Park is a tranquil peace of heaven in East Point, just six miles from downtown and 5 minutes from Hartsfield International Airport.  The neighborhood is full of charming bungalows, cottages, cape cods and even a few ranches.  This is the "IT" neighborhood for creative types, entrepeneurs and professionals of all kinds.  There is a spirit of community here and you'll always find a neighbor to lend a helping hand.  There's no chance of getting bored either (unless you like being bored).  You can get to know 50-60 of your neighbors at a progressive dinner, hang out with friends during one of the monthly mixers at a local restaurant, help with neighborhood beautification and be a part of the annual Jefferson Park Tour of Homes & Gardens.

Jefferson Park is the COOLEST!!!

If you are looking for a home under $300K inside 285, check out Jefferson Park.  The neighbors are amazing and we have made so many friends here.  3 years ago we bought a cute bungalow under 130K and have been working on it bit by bit.  We have made friends with so many folks here and are so proud to call it home.  I cannot imagine that Grant Park, Virginia Highlands, or Buckhead have such great neighbors that are so friendly and GENUINE.  Check it out!!!  I'm trying to get the secret out. :-)

I, too, am a huge Jefferson Park fan.   All of the tri-cities area is tremendously underrated and under appreciated.  Jefferson Park is a large neighborhood in East Point (inside 285).  It's ten minutes from midtown, 15 minutes to Buckhead, and the MARTA station is .5 miles away.  I love it because I always wanted those neighbors to have a spontaneous beer with on a week night.   There is wide diversity and the neighborhood comraderie reminds me of my life on the Gulf Coast post hurricane.  (This is a big deal for those of you who've never had to depend on others for resources such as food or ice)  I love the fact that I have not met all my neighbors in my neighborhood of 1100 homes which means I've got so many cool people left to meet.  If you're tired of your 45 minute commute from the north side, take the time to research us.  We're a rockin' community that embraces everyone.
