Why is it I never get to fly in to Terminal D in Dallas? I'm so anxious to try out the Admiral's Club there, especially after reading Royce R.'s review.
Oh well, I guess I'm relegated to the Club in Terminal A or C for now seems like that's where I always wind up. The good news is they're both very nice.
As others have a said a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the gate areas. I can't imagine why I didn't invest in an Admiral's Club membership earlier. Now I won't be able to live without it.

Admiral's club is so much better than hanging out in the terminal. It's quieter, less crazy, there are TONS of plugs, they have free sodas, and the bathrooms are bigger, cleaner and nicer! :) The snacks are pretty uneventful - cheese and crackers, veggies and ranch, hard cookies. I've always brought in outside food and eaten it in the admirals club. No one has ever said anything. Maybe someday I'll try the food they offer inside.
I've heard some of the other airlines (Delta) have better lounges in NYC with massage chairs and things, but I've been to other AA lounges and compared to the ones I've seen the clubs at DFW are super nice.
It's true what the others have said- once you get a membership it's hard to imagine not having one.

I happened to be traveling during the holidays, therefore the club was practically empty, therefore a very nice respite from the frantic gate area.
I love the reproduction Eames lounge chairs. I did bring in my own food, unnoticed due to the lack of staff. (it was home made, however).
I sat in the lounge chair with my feet up and my MacBook on my lap sinking to a near catnap.
The snack offerings are lame, I never do count on them. A nice tap for filtered water (so I can fill my water bottle for the plane ride).
Overall, I left feeling relaxed and ready to conquer the world.
This was my first time here, I normally fly Delta.
Could be better- for a paid service- better food, more private areas.

I've spent so much time in here that I've considered making it my formal home address.
This is not a complaint.
The beautiful (for an airport!) airy architecture that graces this most recently completed concourse continues and is elevated even further in, what I consider to be, this apogee of business travel clubs environments.
And this superior environment is further lofted by superior appointments of decent art and comfortable furniture including Eames Chairs. Eames chairs! With ottomans!! (Yeah, they're probably not the real H-M execution, but...still!---in an airport lounge?!)
....and the VIP accommodations are even nicer.
Now, if we can only get American Airlines to either improve their food offering or lift their contraban of imported goods...
Heck, they could even charge admission for this place. Wait a minute, they do! Worth every penny.
If you have to travel and you have to travel through DFW, take the great new Sky shuttle to Concours D and spend your layover in one of the finest examples of the business lounge genre.

I miss the small, more personal, much more fancy Flagship lounge!! When they opened this big 'fancy' not-so-fancy (lol) Admiral's Club, they close that one altogether. They still have flagship lounges in Chicago and L.A (loooove the LA one :D).
Yes, this looks and feel a bunch better then any of the admiral's club here at any of the other gates at DFW. However, it's simply a nicer place to hang out then, well, the gate. I will admit however, terminal D at DFW is nice and new. The experiance is never shabby even if you have to hang out by the gate for a little bit.
However, I'm used to the free flow of food and alcohol at these lounges!! They use to have much better snacks for sure; none of this crappy cookies of vegetable sticks and dip. Here, they give you a free drink. Yes, one. Thank you so much lol! No, I'm not complaining... well, ok, maybe I am. But I am still thankful for a place as such to hang out, take a shower and just chill out next to the loud mouth who is talking to his mom, then calls his dad and now his aunt, (yes, I'm at the club while writing this review) and getting a little distracted while I listen (for the third time) to his exciting travel adventures NOT! You can't help but to eavesdrop. Ok, fine, I'm nosey - hell, I'm a woman, what did you expect!? :D Then this other woman here who's calling the world asking for a favor from someone to pick up her daughter's cello. HELP ME!!! Do these people not understand of 'inside/public voice'?!?
I have never eaten here but the pics of the salads and sandwiches look damn good :) Of course compared to the airplane food, anything is bloody good! Why do you think airport eateries are always packed lol!
There is free internet connection here (if you have your laptop) and six public computers which one or two are usually down - amazingly, they're all working today :) There is a smoking room, a kid's room and a ton of seating. Like I said, it's big!
