From late September through late November, Dewberry Farm swings open their gates and invites the public out to their pumpkin patch and amusements.

If you want to escape the city and get a little country life infused in your weekend, Dewberry Farm is a great place to go.  Each year they have their famous corn maze - not a typical attraction but a whole lot of fun to work your way through.

There are tons of farm activities and amusements on the grounds of this expanding farm.  It is really something to see.  From the new log fort they built to pig races and singing chickens, Dewberry Farm has a lot going on in just a few short months during the nicest autumn weather in Houston.

For just $20, you can get a season pass that is good for unlimited admission.  Or, if you're looking to spend a day, get a Super Pass and get free admission and $8 worth of activity tokens.  There's a lot to take in so be prepared to pick and choose your amusements carefully or buy extra tokens to get it all in.

While you're there, don't forget to try out the corn cannon.  Believe it or not, there's something exhilarating about seeing how far you can shoot ears of corn through the sky.

Dewberry Farm also has campfire pits you can rent - bring your own food and have an old fashioned weenie roast or marshmallow toasting event.  Also, the hayrides are a must - one of the best ways to get the whole scoop about what is going on in the farm.

i have a 7 year old and a 2 year old and we all had fun.  this place is great, esp when the weather is nice.  they have all types of activities and its not that far from Houston.  its about 15min past Katy.  The food lines are pretty long though so try to get there early to beat the crowd.  they have a corn maze which was great!!!
