It's green from the ground up at this luxurious high country Colorado lodge that embraces an environmentally conscious approach while simultaneously lavishing guests with all the luxe amenities of a citified five-star hotel.
Spread across thousands of acres of rhapsodic mountain wilderness bolstered by sweeping views of the powder-capped Continental Divide, staying here is the epitome of indulgent altitude-high slumbering. The owners naturally thin the surrounding forestland to acquire building logs, utilize all natural products in the spa, and bedeck their antique adorned, rustically elegant cabins with geothermal floors and EPA-approved wood-burning fireplaces. Too cool.
The onsite restaurant is absolutely superb, and the kitchen (suprise, surprise) subscribes to a "green" thumb approach, which means that nearly everything on your plate is seasonal, sustainable, and culled from local farmers.
