Better experience it while it's still here, because it looks like Devil's Slide will not be open much longer once the tunnel project is in full effect.  Minus one star because it is dangerous.  Beautifully dangerous.  Just you and your car hugging the wall yet snaking along the edge of massively steep cliffs and the expansive mass of ocean below you and as far as you can see.  If you are ever taking a drive down south, I would highly suggest this route.  I cannot attest to the look out points themselves (the last time I took Devil's Slide down to Montara/Half Moon Bay everything appeared to be fenced off) but the lack of stopping points does not take away from this beautiful stretch of Highway 1.

The other recent review here was excellent and, even though again, I haven't been here recently, the second review makes me wonder whether, somehow, if the actual cliff-roadway past the Devil's Slide is to be cut/blocked off with the Tunnel Project... It sure would be nice if, somehow, the County/State made provisions for experienced hikers to be allowed to hike down along the old cliff-road and even to then, be allowed to climb up from that roadway to the lookout-points noted in my original review here!  This view, although probably one of the most dangerous in San Mateo County, is surely the Most Spectacular, and should not be denied to those who have already surmounted such as Half Dome and other spectacular venues!  Does anyone know if any governmental agency is making provisions for limited hiking-access to this wonderfully spectacular San Mateo County Coastside?  Also, it would be wonderful if someone might be a photographer or videographer, to be able to even present live, from these lookouts themselves, the views here, for the world to see on-record (video or print)!
