12 reviews for Detroit Lions Football Team
Forget all the haters below, they don't have the dedication it takes to be a Lions fan. We won yesterday! And yes it was against the Browns, and we gave up more points to them in the first quarter than any team in a whole game, and we blew our comeback in the second half, and blah, blah, blah... Who cares? The Lions won! And what a sweet victory it was! Stafford coming in the last play of the game and risking injuring himself even more. True dedication!
Two wins so far this season. And compared to the perfect season we had last year, this is over a million times better. I know a lot of people want to hate on the Lions and their fans, and that's okay, we're not front runners. We are truly dedicated to our team and stick with them through all of the heartbreak. Here's to the Lions continuing to rebuild themselves, and hopefully we'll see a playoff berth within a few years.
Please save all your smack talking about my team Brian S. The Jets look awful! Marky Mark was a horrible pick.
Despite what my Yelp friend Rene C says...(you know, the guy with the girl's name?)...the Detroit Lions (my home town team) deserve much more acclaim than a three-star review. Uniforms to determine a review's assessment? No, Rene, it should be on a team's accomplishments alone. In Detroit we are hearty, sports-oriented folks, not the Chardonnay-swilling left coasties who barely come out for their teams (Raiders are the exception).
Nope, my dear Lions are once again in the basement and that gives them five big ones in my book.
And if the Michigan Wolverines don't get their act together, they will soon follow suit and I'll start cheering for MSU (or OSU). Go Blue!
The Detroit Lions just unveiled their new uniforms. This momentous event was held at a Dunham's store in Madison Heights. That's as Detroit as it gets: to host such a significant, newsworthy affair at the most low-rent sporting goods retailer in one of Detroit's lowest-rent suburbs. Seriously, they should've just chosen Play It Again Sports. And they should've changed their colors to horse manure brown and Zoloft grey.
But the real reason I dislike the Lions is because of the unreasonable stronghold they have on my fiance.
Try as he might, T.J. cannot stop being a Lions fan. This puts him on an emotional rollercoaster throughout the year, full of false springtime hopes that get quashed in the fall. This sort of metaphorical rollercoaster puts incredible strain on a relationship. I'm called upon to console him when the Lions draft yet another wide receiver in the first round... to share in his hopes when he says things like "the Lions are looking good in the pre-season"... to comfort him when the regular season gets off to a winless start... and to pretend to agree with his optimism about the Thanksgiving Day game, in which the Lions have historically played tough.
The Lions push their fans' romantic relationships to the limit. Being the significant other of a Lions fan requires me to test the bounds of my love and support for T.J.
But you know how people say that love conquers all? It does. Especially when the Lions are so easily defeated.
Let me preface by saying That I am devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
What is the deal with your uniform change? You already had one of the best uniforms not only in the NFL, but in all of sports.
At least they aren't horrible and still have a decent look.
Good luck to you Lions fans.

Congratulations Detroit Lions on a perfect season.
0 - 16 is a perfect season. Don't let that stop you now.
It's the curse of Bobby Lane, I tell ya.
I'm a life-long Raiders fan who just discovered that Al Davis' mother lived to be 103. I sit here thinking to myself, "Holy fuck, how the hell can it get any worse for a football fan out there?"
And then I realize, it's the Saturday before the last regular Sunday and the 0-15 lions are going to play at the goddamn Tundra tomorrow.

I think football is the greatest sport ever (God's gift to mankind, if you will).
I also think that… Read more »
I lost trivia by one point because I didn't know you were one of the 5 teams to not make it to the super bowl ever...
thanks for making me have to pay my own bar tab, losers.
Thank you for being the worst team in the history of the modern N.F.L.(yes, the Cardinals just won their division), and thank you for keeping me humble with the fact that my beloved Raiders could very easily have started their own 50+ year skid.
Good luck with going 0-16 this year before my boys do it next year. Here's to the Sharks kicking Red Wing ass on Dec. 18th. at the Joe.
Have a very Merry Chrismas Detroit.
Ps. Go big blue! Rich Rodriguez has really worked wonders with the team. Somewhere Bo Schembechler is rolling in his grave
It's tough being a Lion's fan. But here I am. Year after sorry year.
We were almost you last season. Keep up the good work.
Here we are. All hyped up about the the pre-season and then reality slaps us after the first game. I love routing for the home teams no matter the performance usually. But the Lions are starting to get on my nerves. I mean really. Season after season after season after season; I think you get the point. I'm starting to wonder when the Fords are going to revamp the entire organization including Millen.
While I love the stadium and will forever be a home town supporter I refuse to fall into the category of an insane fan. You know the ones who keep expecting a different outcome with the same management in place. Go Lions! I guess . . .
The Lions get five stars because their fans have to be the most loyal people on the face of the earth. 0-16... If you're a Lions season ticket holder and you went to every single game, you earned every single one of these crimson stars. Big props to you guys, and if I were to review the management they would get 1 star. Good luck Lions, and I hope you can use those silver and blue paper bags as fancy trash cans starting next season.
