This place has been around for decades! Its a stable at Tanforan!
I love this place because I am a Disney Geek Collector (I can admit that!)!
They sell Disney collector items from The Walt Disney Classic Collection! These collector items are a bit pricey so its a great thing that they have a layaway program so you can afford to buy those great collector items! That is the only reason I have a great Disney collection (From my Ariel pieces to Snow White to Tinker Bell!)
They sell a variety of items from Swarovski Crystal to Giuseppe Armani pieces to Vera Bradely items!
The store also holds quarterly events to promote new items that the store will be receiving and its great fun! They provide everyone with food, drinks & prizes!
The best part about shopping at the Designers Center is the customer service! Everyone who works there is extremely nice! As you become a regular visitor and then customer, they really get to know you and it becomes like a little family! -

I've been in Designers Center 3 or 4 times now but only made my first purchase here a few weeks ago. Ok I didn't make the purchase, my hubby did but I was with him as the item (a new bag) was for me. How sweet is he?
Anyway.. It's a nice enough store and they have a good variety of items (Handbags, Luggage, Sunglasses, Jewelry including Pandora, Ornaments ect) but the staff are quite intimidating. They are very friendly but they have a tendency of following you around the store trying to sell you everything you look at which makes me feel very uncomfortable.
Recent visit was no different and where I went in to choose a new bag the sales girl was trying to sell me 2 because I couldn't decide between pink or black (Pink being my signature colour but Black being more practical as it goes with everything). With a $200 price tag I normally wouldn't even dream of buying one but it was a treat and managed to decide on practical and head to check out.
I love my new bag and the store is in a convenient location but when I got home I noticed the sales girl had left the security tag on! I wasn't going haul ass all the way back to San Bruno from San Mateo just to get it removed so out came the wire cutters. -

Ehh, it's an ok store. It's clean and set up very well. The staff is friendly. They have a wide (and somewhat random) selection of merchandise. But the prices seem a little high....I guess, for example with the handbags, they're normal to-be-expected prices for the brands, but the store itself seems kinda cheap and tacky-ish so in the back of my mind I kinda expect the bags to either be knockoffs or outlet/irregular stuff. I'm sure they're fine, but the store itself doesn't give me a feeling of confidence. If that makes any sense? Anyway, shopping here can be annoying too because the salespeople will not. leave. you. alone. Seriously, I'm fucking FINE, if I have a question I will fucking ASK you, now leave me alone so I can THINK! Ugh. It's not a used car sales lot, but it sure feels like one.

This is a wonderful store!! You can spend hours gazing at the collectibles, the art works....A great collection od Disney, Lladro, Armani, Franz, Pandora....
The people working here are very knowledgeable, superfriendly.

This review is specifically written to comment on the customer service (likely the best I have experienced) of Jared - General Manager. Jared recently assisted me in regard to a ring purchase. The ring did not work out (due to sizing issues) and instead I purchased a fabulous pair of sunglasses. Jared's top of the line service will have me returning for future purchases. He is professional and personable. Jared is knowledgeable and tasteful. As well, he is a true gentleman! I smile everytime I put on my sunglasses! Thank you, Jared! S

Established in 1945
Designers Center began with a single store on Mission Street in San Francisco in 1945. Since then our family owned and operated business has grown to a 5,500 sqft store located in The Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno. Throughout our history, we have specialized in home accessories, gifts, collectibles, and women's fashion. Today, we have a fantastic mix of all of these catagories, and will continue to grow to bring in new lines to excite our customers!
