Dan was awesome! So much wine knowledge and great recommendations for wine and food. This was our first trip to wine country and DD made it easy. They designed the itinerary and were still flexible for the day when we decided to see a few more things. We will definitely call Ona and Dan for our next trip!

The concierge at the Carneros Inn hooked us up with this service and we were glad we used them -- it's a great way to see the sites and get personalized winery tours, especially if you don't want to tag along with 50 other people or risk a DUI.
Our driver "Dan" was easy-going and knowledgeable. We enjoyed getting to know him and he definitely knew his way around Napa. He also had personal relationships with the wineries we visited and I think that enhanced our experience. He picked the wineries and went out of his way to choose spots off the beaten track that offered the types of wine we liked.
The one complaint we had was that we wished we could have seen more. We visited four wineries over the course of six hours--we felt like we could of seen at least one, maybe two more. This service charges by the hour. And while it was fun spending the time learning about vinification we would have preferred trying more wines over dawdling around "getting to know" the wine makers. It got a little tedious.
Nonetheless, Designated Driver is an excellent and unique way to see Napa if you're looking to avoid the crowds (and the cops!) -

This was our first time in napa and someone at our hotel recommended dd and it was a great idea. Our driver was very knowledgable about the area and helped us map our route. We were never rushed and had our best day in napa while using dd. would highly recommend them to any one with a car in Napa.

This company is great to work with - they make it easy at a great price because you use your car or a rental - that they will pick up for you.

If I could give them 10 stars I would! They were recommended by our concierge at the Avia hotel, and through a number of emails and phone calls Ona fine-tuned an itinerary that included 8 wineries in two days. They were all wonderful, and exceeded our expectations! Seven of the eight were ones she chose, and I am so glad we left it up to her, we could not have come close to choosing such interesting and diverse wineries.
It was our first trip to Napa, so they included an introductory tour at Mondavi that was outstanding- at first I balked because I thought it would be too big and commercial of a winery, but luckily Ona nudged me to consider it and we are so glad we went!
We saw a variety of wineries, small, private ones (that required an appointment) and some slightly larger ones, met with some of the winemakers, saw an awesome wine cave, etc. It was an experience we will never forget!!! Both Dan and Ona were fantastic drivers and very pleasant to spend time with in the car. We will for sure use them in the future (now that we are hooked on Napa) and will recommend them to anyone we know who may visit the area.
