Cheapest thrift store with a quality selection of items. Has mostly clothing with some furniture.

One of the cleaner finder stores in town for clothes. This (Mormon?) run thrift store in the Fry's shopping center along Grant and 1st is full of great clothes for men and women and stocked at very good prices. Almost every article of clothing I looked at was really nice, and I walked out with two suits and pants for about $12. I was impressed and it seems like they inspect the material before putting it out because I found no rips or holes or stains. Really good stuff.
There is the usual selection of thrift store items but I think this is tops for clothes. Friendly customer service. I have gone twice and am impressed. Great selection of LDS stuff/bibles in the book area too FYI. -

Things acquired here:
Brand new Mao t-shirt from China (75 cents! They must have really wanted to get rid of it)
Huge oval mirror with ornate gold frame that has gotten the "mirror, mirror on the wall" joke from so many people that I'm a little creeped out ($15!)
Cheap khakis for my roommate ($2!)
Belts, belts, belts (I like belts) (50 cents!)
Used workout tapes (I like not being a fatass, I like VHS, I like a young Denise Austin in yellow and pink) ($1!)
It's Mormon, but not obtrusively so unless you check out the used books section or note the very cheap BYU binders they sell sometimes at the front of the store. They do nice things like voc rehab/training for disabled and elderly job-seekers, but I know some people who won't shop here out of a desire to not support the religion (or, to quote a friend, "the multilevel marketing scam"). I'd rather support my own frugal living and keep coming back. They've got very, very reasonable prices, especially when compared to other charity thrift places who continually raise their prices or add "boutique" sections.
"Deseret" was the name of the strange little sovereign nation Mormon settlers wanted to create in Utah a millenium or two ago. Today I learned that it means "honeybee."
Bonus plus: a good chain dollar store and Ghetto Fry's are right next door. -

DI Rocks! One of the best thrift stores in Tucson for clothes. Clean, sorted into sizes and colors, good prices, what could be better? Make this a regular stop and you won't regret it.
