I liked Dr. Ellison well enough, but Dr. Panagotocas was one of the worst dermatologists I have EVER encountered.  I've been going to various derms on and off for about 17 years, and he's the only one that actually made me cry because he was so rude and insensitive.

The PA, Michael, is quite nice and he seems like he actually cares about the patient.  

The staff there tend to be pretty rude: Nicole wouldn't give me a straight answer about an Rx and insurance problem and was extremely dismissive and derisive.  To anyone that is looking for a dermatologist, DO NOT go here.

New to SF, I went to see Panagotacos because he was the only one that had an appointment the same day I wanted to see a dermatologist, and no big surprise, he was mean and rude, sat 5 feet away from me the whole time, and didn't even bother looking at me or the area of the skin I went in for, and proceeded to cut me off abruptly when I asked questions and just wrote a prescription.  I was shocked.  Too bad I didn't find the reviews on here first.   I've been to mediocre dermatologists before but this was the epitome of horrible and apathetic medical service.

Do not go there. The other reviewers are absolutely correct. I went to this office some time ago because it was very convenient. I just walked two blocks from my house. Big mistake. I waited forever. I was finally seen as I was about to walk out. 30 seconds after seeing me the dr wanted to treat me right there and then! He tried to persuade me to do it! Well, No, way! I just walked out of there.

Dr. Panagotacos was highly reccommended tby my regular doctor. and after being treated by Dr. Panagotacos I give him an excellent reccommendation!  His office staff is very friendly and helpful.  Also the relationship between the Doctor and his staff seems more like a family than boss/employee.  The office is very busy--a good sign in my book--but the doctor allowed enough time to explain my condition and was able to treat me during my first visit, unlike some doctors who try to get you to come back again and again, just to fill up their appointment books.  Although my regular doctor couldn't figure out my skin condition, Dr. Panagotacos diagnosed my problem and cleared up my problem immediately.  I give him and his staff the highest rating!!!!

I'm going to second the other Yelp opinions on Dr. Panagotacos: he is a total jerk! He was completely rude, arrogant, and insensitive, not only to me but to the clinic staff.

As with the other Yelper, he barely glanced at my problem moles, and then brutally performed a procedure before I had time to think or without discussing my options with me. I almost felt like I was in some sort of back-alley unlicensed clinic at that place. Even the waiting room is full of snake-oil type hair transplant ads - yuck!

I am only giving him a star at all because it is the only option. However, he's not your only option -- Don't go here! There are plenty of kind, professional dermatologits in the city.

I feel the same way as the other two reviewers.  I however, didn't check out the reviews before going in for my appointment.  I randomly found him online and made an appointment.  I had to wait an hr before even being seen and then within a few mins of him checking my body he insisted on taking off 3 spots eventhough I asked if we could do it another day.  He said that it had have been done then w/o even talking to me about it.  Of course I left the office a comple wreak.  I sympathize w/ the other reviewers on here and had the same exact experience as they did.  I feel like when it comes to something as serious as your health, the dr. should take the time to carefully examine before he starts cutting away leaving you feeling completely helpless.  I must say that after I go back for a checkup I will be finding a new dr.
