Everyone in here is usually a dick, they barely have half of the usual liquors that a bar serves and despite being a 'steak pub' there is no food.
Upsides: $1.75 mugs of Budweiser, darts
Draw: Pool table, but its always like a 3 game wait

I can't believe people reviewed this place! It's hilarious. It's an old man bar. You can't go wrong with a $2.75 pint of Bass. Happy hour is 2 for 1. You got it! Two pints of Bass for $2.75!!! Is that insane or what? I met some ok people here.
This spot is conveniently located just outside a subway exit. Very diverse interesting crowd. The bartender serves very good drinks and is very friendly
I was starving one Saturday afternoon, and saw Steak Pub on the sign outside this dash dive and thought I'd give it a try. I walked in, asked for a menu ~ and the bartender told me they haven't served food in 12 years.
No frills spot, ancient in it's appearance, but the hooch is cheaper then a 1 liter of coke at the Walgreen's two doors down.

Semi-dive bar. The negative reviews here can be chalked up to snobbery. It's an old-school local place where people generally keep to themselves, but they are NOT rude, and I certainly did NOT find them rape-y. Quieter and more relaxed than Rhythm & Booze or Shenanigan's. Nice decor, decent music, and certainly authentic, which is NOT a bad thing. Definitely my favorite local place for a drink.
This place is a relic, but a well patronized one. I don't really know if they actually serve steaks or any food at all, but they have $1.75 mugs of Bud. Sports on the tvs, cheetos on the bar, and pool tables. Right by the Eff train and ethnically diverse patrons. It's funny to see Paki taxi drivers drinking Corona in an Irish bar, but that's Kensington for ya.
Oh, and you can smoke there.
It's a real dive bar for sure. Not the hip "dive" bars of Manhattan. The bartender is friendly and the beer is super cheap. 'Rape-y' is an over exaggeration. Quite the cast of interesting characters can be seen on a random night. There's pool and a jukebox. Bathroom surprisingly cleaner then you'd expect. What more do you need for a bar?

This is the only bar in the area, luckily it's pretty fun, but has been known to get a little rowdy. Good cheap drafts, sometimes there's free food, and a pool table. Very well lit, so if you're ugly, don't take your date there. Nice people. Joker Poker.
