Denise is excellent!  Not only does she make helpful suggestions, she does an awesome job, she is not expensive and she doesn't try to make you buy all these expensive products afterwards.

She also has a flexible schedule and can get you in last minute if you find  yourself in a jam.  She is cool to talk to and that matters since all you can do is talk when you are getting your hair cut.

I am hesitant to write this only because she is so good and I want to keep her to myself.  Denise is an amazing stylist, but best even is that she is a great friend.  I know it sounds cheesy, but its true.  She does a fabulous job on my hair and is always willing to try something new.

I refer her to my friends all the time and they end up her clients.  

And Jason's right about those massages! :)

Denise is great!  I just moved to the area and dreaded finding a stylist that can handle my crazy hair.  She had no problem.  Her unstoppable energy is contagious and she is really sweet.  Then there's the shampoo; she gives the best head massage.  I've never had a better hair cut or time getting my haircut than while going to Denise.

*Great person, great hair stylist.*  I was referred to her by a few people who all go to her, and was not disappointed.  I'll admit I've been a bit of a non-comittal hair stylee lately in search of The One, and after 3.5 years I think I may have found her!  She was a ball to spend 3ish hours with, and a smart cookie to boot.  Gives a great head massage.  She's a self-described "conservative" hair stylist, i.e. not all tatted up with crazy tri-color stripey hair which I appreciated, but that's not to say she couldn't handle whatever way you want your hair did.  She was dead-on with what I described to her...give 'er a try, you won't be disappointed!  Oooo...and parking is easy--there's a free lot and lotsa cute shops around since you're right in Bird Rock.  Extra perk.
