What else can I say.  Where else can you buy a bird a used car, a summer outfit,  a corndog, furniture and a fishing rod at the same place!

This place is awesome but you do have to haggle to get the better prices.  The place is always packed and you do have to pay for parking.  But you easily make that cost up with the savings you get from the produce.  I absolutely love the corndogs and the doritos here.

I like the rest of you agree.  There is everything there from the kitchen sink to your wedding dress. But I have to give them a 2 star for their raising prices on the cart vendor drinks.  $ 3.50 for a pepsi.  Come on.  Go across the street to the other side and pay 2 bucks at the little store inside the old food court.

omg, i absolutely love denio's. they have everything; there's even a tortilla lady that sells 4 mini-tortillas for 25 cents. I just wish she sold jumbo burrito sized ones. In the shopping area across from the main denio's marketplace (where i usually park to avoid the crowds) there is a mini-donut stand that plays the most unusual advertisement to get people to come to buy his donuts (it sounds like the Lunch Lady). the donuts are cheap and greasy, but are the best when they're hot - feels like you're at the fair.

Uh huh...just what the others below said. It's great, it's fun, there's tons of old cheap stuff from longago days that you didn't know still was laying around on this here earth.

The produce is cheaper and better than any grocery store. The livestock auction once a month is cool to watch; beautiful horses for cheap!

BUT you must know that if you go anytime near spring or summer, you'll roast from that boiling hot blacktop throwing up heatwaves from hell.

OH....and just one more lil thing....do ya like Mexico? Really?

I don't mean the clean, touristy part of Mexico. I mean the parts where the illegals come from, because that is what makes up most of Denio's.

What - ya say you didn't know? Didn't hear? That those cheery commercials they put out didn't show any of them there illegals? (Hm, wonder why they wouldn't show THAT?)

So yah...if you like visiting a place where hardly anyone speaks English, teenagers in sleazy outfits push their babies around in strollers and obnoxiously loud bass booms from tacky cars AND boom speaker vendors, then have at it baby!

While your day away in Mexico...without having to drive all the way to the border.

Fabulous flea market/farmer's market!. Took the whole family out for a nice Saturday afternoon, and this place is HUGE!

Another Yelper advised parking at the older part near the livestock auction...good call! Took us 30 seconds to walk to the entrance, plus we got a taste of a honest-to-God livestock auction (being from the Bay Area, this was a treat for me :)

The best thing about this place is it combines a fantastic farmer's market (with ridiculously cheap produce), an old school flea market (like 50 garage sales going on simultaneously), and vendors hawking everything from steering wheel covers to sofas to....

Spent under $40, had a great day, and yes, it was worth the hike from Elk Grove.

Take a peek at Denio's Farmers Market & Auction!
Take a  peek at Denio's this week!

Most people who grew up in Sacramento in the 70's and 80's remember that jingle.  They also remember weekend trips out to Denio's and all of it's awesomeness.  Well, Denio's is still there and it has definitely stood the test of time.  What a great way to spend a lazy Sunday, wandering around Denio's eating nachos and drinking beer, looking at all kinds of crazy crap and buying cheap stuff.  Ah man.  Heaven.

Spend a day at Denio's.  Don't rush, take you're time.  Look through everything, leave no stone unturned.  I guarantee you'll find something  that you had no idea you needed.

I love this place, I'm no less fascinated with it today then I was when I first set foot there 25 years ago.

What's not to love?  The last time I reviewed this place, I noted the fact that along with always finding good stuff, this is the best place around for people watching.  And, I don't mean that in a condescending way.

Wait, who am I kidding?  Of course I am looking down my nose at a man who is force feeding his 50 pound 2 year old Flaming Hot Cheetos and an Arctic Chillz Slurpee!  Jesus people!

If you are new to the area, you wouldn't have a clue that this used to be called Denio's Farmer's Market "AND AUCTION." Every weekend they had an ACTUAL AUCTIONEER out there calling out numbers in the traditional auctioneer style until that magical "SOLD" went to the lucky high bidder. Yes, things certainly change!

Denio's is now the ultimate flea market / yard sale / fresh produce marketplace in the Sacramento area. I recently went there looking SPECIFICALLY for an old video game component four our outdated game system and SURE ENOUGH, I found it out there CHEAP within ten minutes of looking.  :)  ( yeah baby )

If you like garage sales, then you'll like Denio's. If you like to wheel, deal and haggle prices for certain things, you'll like Denio's. If you are on a budget and don't need name brand name high end stuff, but knock-offs are OK, then you'll like Denio's.

There are KILLER DEALS out there to be found if you have the patience and the time to look around for them.

BTW... in terms of PEOPLE WATCHING? 5 stars at Denio's for that!

Denio's is mostly like a giant garage sale. 90% junk that nobody needs. There are a few bargains if you have time to look. I saw some new cookware that looked like it was good quality for a good price. I found an Avon booth that had slightly discounted Avon products.
My favorite part was the produce area. Tons of fresh fruits and veggies, and they let you sample the merchandise. Mixed in with the produce were lots of Mexican treats like fried wheat chips (Durados) and Mexican Candy. There are several ATM machines located within Denio's, but the merchants prefer small bills.

I love Denios. I used to spend about every weekend here as a kid, just wandering around causing trouble.

Good memories, and you can't beat the produce area!

Flea Markets are serious business. This is not a trip to the mall but more like a trip to Bartertown from Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Long rows of tents and speakers and flys and tweety bird t-shirts and knock off Dooney & Bourke bags and piles upon piles of sweet sweet swap meet junk!

I like to spend at least 3 hours there. Bring a pocket full of $1 bills, eat a corn dog or some Jimboy's (or both!), buy some fresh produce, buy some cheap socks, drink a soda, haggle.

But the best part about Denio's, and what truly separates it from other swap meets and flea markets, is Walt's Mini Donuts. Walt is an old man in a trailer that will hand make mini donuts for you. You can watch as he meticulously frys the donuts. He plays a looped audio recording also, "fresh, hot mini donuts. 5 for a quarter 18 for a dollar and 6 for 50 cents. stop on by and take a bag home." Its pretty sureal.

If you have never been to Denios... you have to go! It's a Roseville relic!  It's the biggest flea market I have ever been to for sure. The best part about this place is THEY HAVE BEER ON TAP!!!  how many flea markets can you go to on the weekend with your friends and get trashed looking at cheap crap?
Even on occasion when we don't really find anything we have to have, it's still fun to walk around and people watch at least. There's a ton of food stands from bbq to mexican food if you get hungry. The grounds are all asphalt paved so don't go on a hot day. If you go in the summer time try and go earlier in the morning.
HUGE selection of fruits and vegies. There is also a great stuffed olive stand and a hot roasted peanuts stand near the produce area. You can rent a space out here one weekend and sell off all of your crap too... some people make so much doing it they are out there every weekend and some of them have permanent stands set up by Denios.
Here's a short list of products you will find:
 Car Stereos & equipt.
 Cell phone accessories
 Car Window decals (custom)
 Plants
 Clothes, shoes and accessories
 Tools
 Pet Items
 Live birds
 Perfume, makeup, avon stuff
Sporting goods
 Hats
 Incense, candles, cookware, toys....
Parking gets a lil crazy, I suggest parking over on the "Old" Denios side which is located next to the livestock auction. Drive around the place, it's a big square and you can't miss it. DO haggle prices... vendors out there are willing to come down on their crap to make a sale....

This place is pretty big.  You can find practically anything you need.  Household appliances, clothes like five shirts for ten dollars, hehe.. um, socks, tools, pets, t.v.'s, and tons of other stuff.  FYI, make sure whatever you buy works before you take off running like a five year old girl on a Christmas morning.  The dealers usually don't have return policies or are really shady when you try to return it.
The food is alright, a little pricey but I guess it's worth it since you're given the convenience of shopping at an outdoor ware house like facility.
Food ranges from corn dogs, bbq, cotton candy, currios, sodas and beer.
They also have a produce and garden area.

See you there and good luck with parking!

We used to call this place the Roseville Auction. These days it's got a new name and an even crappier song to go with it. Take a peek at their website. Do not go to Denio's if it's near 100. You will die! Heat stroke or something.

It is fun to look at the various items people are selling as well as the people selling them. They're all gypsies! They sell old record players, stereos, meat grinders, old broken radios, clocks, homemade explicit mexican porn ...some of it good some of it bad. There's one side that seems like used yard sale type items.

The other side has vendors that sell mainly knockoff type stuff. Furniture, rugs, stereos, stuff like that.

The farmers market is where they sell the fruits and vegetables. Good deals. Good produce. I like the beef jerky. They also sell coffee beans, jams and jellies.

I've always liked Denio's in Roseville.

Its like a flea market. Kinda ghetto in some ways, but very unique. The stuff there are ultra cheap in price, but you pay for what you get. Most of the clothes, jewelry, trinkets are "made in China" type quality, but the farmers market side is very good. The veggies and fruits are cheap, and if you want a real deal, go on Sundays afternoons, a few hours before it closes. All the vendors try to get ride of their goods by selling boxes of fresh food for a few bucks each.

Cash only, but they have BOA ATMs around the place. $2 for parking, but well worth a trip.

Huge flea market and farmers market:
I rarely find anything here that I want- I usually end up with some mini-donuts, a bag of chicharrones, and a painting of a deer. Or maybe a super-8 camera. I guess I have found a few things.
The best things to do at Denio's are eating and people-watching. The best strategy is to park across the street at the paid parking where all the really janky yard sale stuff is going on. That way you can get in and out about 50X quicker. Then go over and get some mini-donuts from the creepy chanting donut cart. The donuts taste like blueberry muffins and they cost something like $1 a dozen.
Other treats:

The Jimboy's at Denio's has the best tacos.
Corndogs
Lemonade

this place reminds me of being a kid and waiting around a lot.
itll take a couple of hours to get through every aisle.
there are always the people who go sell the old junk in their garage-- the grungy stuff. and then the people who bulk up on random stuff to sell... warm blankets with portraints of stallions running in the wild.. or you know- buy a pet bird and some thick lipgloss

my motivation for going are the corndogs, nothing compairs to the crunchy goodness. there is a huge produce section which doesnt ever seem have been that fresh when you try to use it a day or two later. i would not touch the chinese food and other food stands.. just stick to the corndogs.

I love flea markets, and this one is great. Bargain shopping is great and like they say, one mans junk is another mans treasure!
This flea market is different than the ones I am used to in the Bay Area because you don't have to be there at 6AM to get the good stuff. There are a lot of people who sell the same crap every week- but also a good amount of people who actually come to try and get rid of their stuff.
Plus, this place is cheap! They charge per car- which is perfect! I great way to spend a Saturday morning.
I've sold stuff here a few times too and its a great way to get rid of stuff without having to deal with people coming to your house.

A cultural experience-- the other side of the tracks.

Huge, requires lots of walking, so wear comfy shoes. It's terrible in the summer-- thus sunscreen and water.

Bring enough cash. Haggle away. Their first quote is never final.

Avoid the Chinese food stand that pre-stacks plates of fried rice.
