When you've just moved to a new town as a result of scoring a sweet J-O-B, naturally you live in that weird limbo of having to find a place to lay your head between moving and finding a permanent home...
Preferably this temporary place is clean, cheap to moderately priced, and somewhere you can spend the 6 hours you aren't working or searching for an apartment, doing things like sleeping, vegging, and not being worried if you'll still have a car the next morning.
Cheap: yes - $56 bucks a night for a queen.
Clean: hell-to-the-mutha-effin-no - looked kinda run down outside, inside was worse. Old linen, carpets were coated in many years of misplaced bodily fluids, hallways smelled like PEEEE...doors had been kicked in, and there was some exciting tagging going on in the main walkways. Shower made me very nervous..and by very nervous...I mean VERY NERVOUS.
Safe: nope - my u-lock thinger was actually busted in half on the door. I didn't know that could even happen. Seriously, I wondered if my car would be there the next morning. There was some highly questionable activity in the parking lot. Everyone needs a job, just most people yanno, have an office or something...
You get a star Deluxe Inn, because your check-in counter dude was nice. And because you spared my car.
