I agree, if you live in the area, this is an above average place for pizza.
Very acceptable, most of the time: reasonable prices, friendly service, fast delivery. (There are some very busy times, though - which is why I ordered from the horrible Domino's never-again, see above).
Have been also coming here for years, as well, which adds to the homey experience.
They do have a very good house garden salad (the small is pretty large, for me - and not a rip-off); you can actually feel less guilty about having your pizza when you order this with it. For me, its usually to go, or a delivery, but on occasion, I do sit down here when I am totally pooped and just relax.
It's a no-brainer - if you live a block away. I could go down there right now, I am so hungry! (Still beating myself up about Domino's. Rats!)

Absolutely, the best Italian food and pizza in the city.

What looked like a modest pizza and pasta joint at first glance actually turned out to be a really great homestyle Italian restaurant. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana expecting it to be ok, but what I got was honestly reminiscent of my Italian mother's home cooking. It was delicious! The eggplant was served piping hot, the marinara was excellent, the cheese was obviously freshly melted. And you really can't beat the price either- I've had food just as good at many upscale Italian restaurants for nearly twice as much. Highly recommended!
--Editing to add that every time I order from this place, it never fails to impress me. I've gotten take-out a few times since my first trip there, and the food has been excellent every time. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious.

This is one of the best places for pizza in the city. If I'm not having some sort of a slice I usually go with their Chicken Roll or a Veal Parm. The only negative I can say about it that sometimes the slices are off but usually, they are GREAT! I prefer the 73rd Street location to the 92nd street one.
The staff there is always pleasant and extremely helpful. They are always smiling and very friendly. Service is fast and what more can you ask of a New York Pizzeria?
The dining in the back is also worth mentioning. The establishment transforms form fast food to romantic restaurant in a few short steps.
I definitely recommend this place for dine-in, take-out, or delivery if you're in the neighborhood.
Solid pizza place, above average. Been going there since I was born, restaurant is nice, people are nice, food is good, delivery is fast, etc. Nothing to travel for, but if you live in the area, it's a place to add to your list for delivery.
These guys can make a plain slice of pizza so perfectly. The crust, sauce, and cheese, in my opinon are perfect. So I basically eat here all the time.
But one thing, don't try to use the plastic forks, because they will snap everytime. So fold your slice and enjoy.

As a recent upper east side arrival used to down town pizza I was a bit worried that I would have a hard time finding a quality slice near my new residence. Luckily Delizia was there to quash my concern and provide me with just what I needed: a low-cost, high quality slice. Delizia provides slices that squarely fall within the four-star category. So far I have tried three of their pizza offerings: the plain slice, the 'grandma' slice (a Sicilian slice with the cheese as the base layer and dobs of sauce on top), and the sauteed mushroom and onion slice. On the plain and mush and onion slices the crust was appropriately thin and deliciously crisp. The sauce was lite, a bit sweet and in the right proportion. The cheese too was sufficiently thick and gooey. The mush and onion was absolutely smothered in deliciously sauteed mushrooms and onions and was tasty enough to warrant a five star rating but cost $3.50, keeping it out of five-star territory. The 'grandma' seemed to be a take on Bleecker Street's similar slice but the sauce at Delizia could not compare with Bleecker Street (but was still pretty good). Because of all this Delizia deserves a solid four star rating. Nothing extraordinary, but well worth the trip.

This was my first stop after moving to the Upper East and I was quite pleased to find a delicious pizza place across the street from me! Good pizza, yummmmy Baked Ziti and friendly people. They also have the choice of order and sit down tables or waitress service, so that's cool. Yup, I'd recommend it if you're in the UES looking for some Italian.

A good neigborhood pizza shop. It doesn't compare to patsy's but it is better than average.
