I. LOVE. YOU. MURRIETA. DEL. TACO.
So the bf and I went to visit his lovely parents last. Yes, we went to Olive Garden again. Always a joy. Moving on.
We ended up staying way too late so I decided we needed a little 'keep-me-up' snack to help us make it home (like I need an excuse for Del Taco).
So we gleefully go through the drive through and I order my all time fave: egg and cheese burrito with no cheese and no sauce. Yep, only eggs.
The stupid person in front of us had to have ordered one of everything on the menu because it took forever.
FINALLY it is our turn and we get to the window.
"Would you like mild?" NO, thats why I conveniently NIXED it from my snack.
So she hands over my burrito.
Heaven? Understatement.
I have a weird temperature thing. No food is EVER hot enough for me (unless its oven pizza which nicely blisters the roof of my mouth EVERY time I eat it) and it can get to be quite unnerving.
Not today. My fat speedy self was scorching the inside of my mouth with a mixture of eggs and the BEST tortilla I have ever tasted. I know I think that every time but this time took the cake. That burrito was so freaking amazing. Wow. Best thing ever.
And clearly a lot easier to eat than the CRUNCHY tacos the bf elected to order to eat EN ROUTE back to San Diego. What? Hes never ordered crunchy tacos from anywhere and never eats and drives.
So Im steering so he can eat his tacos as hes barreling down the freeway. When I nicely request he slow down he informs me that hes not going that fast. I remind him hes only operating the pedals and, "Oh yeah!", he audibly remembers. No! My Jetta came with a special hands-free "Taco Mode".
My life...is never dull!

This is the best yummy Del Taco in the world. Whenever I visit my parents, I begin nagging my father from the moment he picks me up at the airport to take me there. It's right at the back of the Windsong Valley subdivision by the Stater Brothers.
The fries are excellent, and nothing tastes day-old. If I have any complaint about this location, it's that they didn't build it until after I moved away. Where were you when I was young and car-less?!
