Review from Sean M.
This place opened recently on the grave of the late, lamented Cancun Rob's. The new proprietors have done a bit of tweaking to the place, but without all of Rob's posters, menus, and other memorabilia, the building feels a bit spare.
We were greeted by a fairly distracted-seeming woman who, after we had stood around for a couple minutes, asked us to have a seat as there were no tables available. After a few minutes of waiting, we were seated and had a chance to look over the menu. The list of offerings was fairly small, and seemed to have some peculiar pairings (chicken ranchero with mashed potatoes?), but we chose a few things and placed our order with the still-distracted waitress.
(Aside: If "flight attendant" is preferred to "stewardess", perhaps I should refer to the person taking our order as a "table attendant"? No, I'm pretty sure that sounds even more demeaning.)
We ordered an appetizer, which included chips, queso, a bean salsa and a mango(?) salsa. The bean salsa was my favorite, as the queso seemed very much like a product of Rico's or Velveeta, and, as mango is my kryptonite, I didn't eat much of the last option. The portions of each seemed pretty diminutive for the price.
Our entrees came a bit later. My chicken sandwich was very tasty and well-seasoned, and I quite enjoyed it. (Though having bread-and-butter sweet pickles on an otherwise salty/savory sandwich did seem a surprising choice.) My dining partner's hamburger was well-received. The sweet potato fries were tasty too.
Altogether, our experience there was a bit of a mixed bag. They didn't seem to have the service end of their operation quite ironed out, and the food seemed downright funky at times, but overall we enjoyed our meal and will probably give the place another shot once they've gotten into their groove. -

Del Fuego.. where to start? The service was terrible. When I walked into the diner I got the "brush off" from a lady standing in the kitchen, so we sat down and were ignored for the next 15 minutes, except for a random employee who brought our drinks out for us. Finally after serving all of the other customers TWICE, the distracted woman took our order and agreed to bring us refills on our drinks. 30 minutes later we go the refills on our drinks, and finally got our meal. The menu is extremely small and there isn't much at all to choose from, only 5 meals. The Don's Chili Mac was disgusting and plain, like Wolf brand chili and off-brand cheese sauce. The chicken sandwich was also boring and plain and very, very small. The bread was claimed to be "sweet bread" and was just normal bread. Also, it came with sweet pickels which don't compliment the meal at all.
THIS PLACE SUCKS. I wish they would bring back Cancun Robs, atleast they had good music playing while we ate shitty food. -

I have to disagree. Del Fuego is an overall great restaurant with great food. I have not had any issues with their service and their food was exceptional (great burger, chicken fried steak, and shrimp...are only a few to name that I LOVED). Every restaurant figures it out in the beginning but Del fuego only has room to improve.
