This place is top notch all the way.  Hostess is nice, bartenders are great, wait staff is excellent.  Food is always delicious.  Even their house salad is good.  I always get a medium well steak here, it's always cooked perfect and seasoned very well.  Even on a Monday or Tuesday night, it fills up quickly and is almost always full.  That's Texas oil money for you :)

But wow, this place is very expensive.  This is how pricey it is - the clients that we take here can no longer take their own clients to dinner here because it's so expensive.  Good thing I only visit 3-4x a year.

WOW - what a great dining experience. Went to Del Frisco's with colleagues and business associates. If you want steak and you happen to be in the neighborhood of Fort Worth you should definitely go here.

We had a variety of starters that all were family size and great for sharing. Some of them are spicy but really great food.

We had a variety of steaks and lamb across the table. We had a number of side dishes (spinach, pasta & cheese, asparagus,...). The side dishes are good family sized and of superior quality. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and really tasty. The lamb was to die for.

Best steaks we have had in a long time.

The wine list is pretty impressive. Maybe not as organized as I would have liked, but overall a pretty impressive list. The wines are not exactly inexpensive, when you know the retail prices of the bottles they serve, but that is ok.

The service was fantastic. Really attentive making sure things were exactly as expected.

This is a fantastic place and you are in for a treat. So what are you waiting for?

Everything a good steakhouse should be. The bartenders know how to mix a cocktail. The Manhattans at the at the bar were excellent along with the bar and table service.

If the bone in fillet is available where you're there I highly recommend it. Get it medium rare and go to town. Might have to take out a second mortgage but it could quite possibly be the best steak I've ever had.

I dined at Del Frisco's in Fort Worth on several occasions. My visit on 6/17/09 was the most disappointing of any visit. I try to avoid too much complaining if there is an issue with my meal (if you saw the movie "Waiting" you would know why.) but we had to send both our steaks back as they did not come close the desired temperature. Also my drink order was not correct as they used the wrong Vodka.

Overall service continues to be good and the rest of the meal was very good. Had the shrimp cocktail and the new calamari Shanghai. The Shanghai was very good. Also had a chance to try their jalapeno mac n cheese which is great if you like it a little hot.

Based upon favorable meals in the past I will overlook this sub-par experience.

Side note - this place is not cheap.

Went here on my birthday as a treat.  The atmosphere, staff and food are impeccable--where else will you see a waiter gather up the bread crumbs on the linen with his pen--that's class!  The steaks were cooked to perfection and the topper was the big slice of cheesecake they brought out in my honor!  Will definitely be back.

Had a very nice dinner here a few nights ago. It was originally a RW reservation, but we strayed a bit from that menu.

We started out with calamari. The batter was light, not greasy and the sauce was an interesting take on marinara. It wasn't the best calamari I've ever had, but it was definitely very good.

One person at my table had the crabcake, which was served in a cajun lobster sauce. It was a stellar crabcake and rivaled the one I had at Abacus a few weeks ago. The chunks of meaty fresh crab accompanied the sauce perfectly.

We all had the wedge salad, served with their housemade Bleu cheese dressing. The dressing was great and appreciated even by those who weren't Bleu cheese fans. The Bleu cheese flavoring was mild and the dressing had a texture more like Ranch - yum!

Three of us had 8 oz. filets, served with sides of gnocchi in a tomato cream sauce and ratatouille. Two were served with diver scallops, accompanied by an interesting tomato-like sauce. The scallops were sweet, meaty and very fresh. My filet was topped with mushrooms, in a burgundy sauce. The gnocchi was perfectly tender, great sauce, and the ratatouille was good as well. The steaks themselves were cooked a perfect medium-rare as requested. So many places can't cook a good medium-rare steak, but these were delectably pink in the inside and juicy.

Now to the one down side of the whole meal... The other two diners at our table ordered the RW salmon. It came out cold. Both plates. To Del Frisco's credit, our server was extremely apologetic, as was the manager when he came out, and both plates were promptly replaced with hot, fresh ones. The second try on the salmon was ten times better than the initially, lukewarm dish, however, I think it still marred everyone's perception just a bit.

Desserts were a highlight - between us, we tried the bread pudding, the chocolate cake, the strawberry cheesecake and the butterscotch cheesecake. The stand-out, by far, was the butterscotch cheesecake, ordered with extra pecans and sauce. Del Frisco's doesn't bake their cheesecakes, so they're not heavy and dense.  Chocolate cake was great and bread pudding was a different take on a classic dessert.

Best steaks ever. Best service ever.  Prices are reasonable for the quality of service and quality of dining experience. I would call this place upscale and laid back at the same time.  I will definitely be back.

if you got the cash, go to here. my husband and i had dinner with his parents to celebrate his father's retirement. the atmosphere is definitely old school fort worth.

for what you pay, you get great food and service. i ordered a new york strip and it was tasty. the service was absolutely the best i've ever had. even the bread at the table wasn't neglected as the server continually brought more. the drinks were pretty stiff that my husband ordered. and i swear, i saw the largest lobster walk by our table.

I don't think my dining companion has a fingerprint on his pinky anymore.

After a brief misadventure at Cattlemen's, http://www.yelp.com/bi... a steakhouse just 3 miles away geographically, but light years away gastronomically, we arrived hungry at Del Frisco's.  A valet whisked the car away, and green velvet curtains parted to admit us to a dark-paneled, thick carpeted bastion of beef.  The place was comfortably full, with servers in crisp black and white whisking drinks, wines and sizzling steaks to and fro like that VISA commercial before the guy tries to pay with cash.  Despite the crowd, the noise level was a comfortable murmur, and the elegant hostess found us a nice table for two in a flash.

My buddy Brian and I both exhaled in relief--this was what we both had in mind when we thought of a good steakhouse.  Ordered up a couple of Glenlivets from our server, which my friend promptly spilled as he got up to use the facilities.  Before I could even ask, a flock of nattily attired Ninja bussers descended on the table, removed everything, dried the spilled booze, replaced the table cloth, rearranged our place settings and disappeared into the night.  In seconds, a fresh drink was on the table, just as Brian returned from the john.  Nice.  Very nice.

A beef-centric menu, (in a font large enough to read in dim light, a bonus), a massive wine list, a pleasant server named Tamara and wonderful atmosphere combined to create an environment where the food is just one of the stars.

A shrimp combination appetizer included a sampling of their shrimp cocktail, marinated shrimp and shrimp remoulade.  All were delicious, and the remoulade was authentic, with a great peppery kick.  Fried oysters were lightly battered & crunchy outside and tender inside.  Creamed spinach and "Chateau Potatoes," a delightful mix of mashed potatoes, chives and cheese were splendid sides.

But the steaks--the filet's in this case, were outstanding.  Perfectly cooked to order 12 ounce filet mignon arrived on plates only slightly cooler than the surface of the sun.  Tamara warned us of this fact, but Brian moved his without the prerequisite Nomex mitt, and hence is now shy one fingerprint.  When Tamara says hot, she means it.  Our steaks were done to perfection, seared in butter and dark outside, pink and juicy and warm inside, sliced like butter and melt-in-your-mouth good.  I almost went for the smaller 8oz portion but I am glad I didn't.  There was not a morsel left on either plate.

A nice bottle of Swanson Oakville Estate Merlot was a perfect complement to the meal.  It was damn close to perfect.  The white/dark chocolate mousse was good, but not excellent, and the coffee was only good, not great, but the total experience left us feeling certain we had made the right choice.  A relaxed, unhurried trip through beef paradise in an atmosphere that defines fine dining.

It's not cheap.  But what pleasant luxury is?  Tasty Scotch, delicious beef, fine wine, elegant atmosphere, professional service?  Wonderful.  A night with a good friend, catching up on old times, thinking back to a time when neither of us earned in a week what this dinner cost?  Priceless.

I have been on two different occasions, and have not been disappointed.  Very classy steakhouse with your everyday filets, ribeyes, strips, and seafood selection.  Really good creamed spinach, a bit better than other steakhouses.  Crab cake was nothing too spectacular as it was served over your regular red pepper sauce, but it was done to perfection, just like other steakhouses.  Only really memorable dish was the swordfish served with a red pepper pesto sauce.  Could not have had a better piece of fish anywhere.  Recommend for a special occasion.

I only managed to come here once but if I'm ever back in Fort Worth I'm stopping by again.  Their filet was one of the best I've ever had in my entire life.  It came out on a burning hot plate and it was cooked to perfection.  The outside was just right with the middle a perfect pink.  The sides were delicious.  The best part was it was free because it was paid for by a pharmaceutical rep.

Last night, I had the best steak I've ever eaten. I expected something excellent, this being Texas and all, but it happened in the first bite. I knew that I have come into a new world.

This is going to be my fourth era of steak. As a kid, I basically had no steak. It was hamburger and if I ever ate a steak I never really knew what it was. Then after college, I fell in love with the T-Bone. I cooked T-Bones all the time - broiled em in the broiler, and threw em in a plate with Rice a Roni. Sometime later, I discovered the New York strip and the beauty of eating steaks medium rare. And so it has been that way since 1988. Sure I'd have an occasional filet mignon, but I've never really been impressed with it. But from here on out, its ribeye  baby.

Why? It's all because of Del Frisco's. The have perfected the formula, if they weren't the originator. You have the perfect brass rail, OK almost perfect, there's no smoking, but it's not far enough from the dining so I see their point. They've got the private rooms, the wood paneling, the staff in black and white, the a la carte menu, the serious wine list and the crumbscraping waiters.

All steakhouses are, as of this moment, now living in the shadow of Del Frisco's. It is the best in the country. Everybody else has something to prove.

BUT. They serve on hot plates. I hate that.

No doubt that this place is a great steakouse.  As a vistor from Chicago, I kinda wish we selected a more "down to earth" steakhouse to dine at while in Fort Worth.  This place reminded me of the many Chicago style steakhouses I frequent in my stomping grounds.  The meat quality was a tad bit more tasty, but I would have traded the white table linens for a metal plate, chuckwagon style experience anytime.

To give you an idea of how I feel about Del Frisco's, let me tell you this - I don't eat steak, and I put the absolute best bite of steak I've ever eaten in my mouth at Del Frisco's. It was mouth watering.

We ate upstairs on an incredibly busy night (the night before TCU graduation). The service was impeccable, and they didn't miss a beat. I started with the turtle soup, which was divine. I've had a lot of turtle soup in New Orleans, and this was equally as good. I also tasted my husband's wedge salad, which was also excellent. I chose a special, the soy glazed halibut, and it was delicious. My husband's steak, like I mentioned earlier, was fabulous. I always have a small bite of his steaks, even though I don't really enjoy red meat (the foodie in me has to taste his meal, though), and it was seriously amazing. He has eaten a lot of steak in his time, and even he said it was the best steak he'd ever tasted. It's that good.

For dessert, he and I split a cheesecake, which didn't make or break our meal. It was good, but it's hard to mess up cheesecake. The decor is your typical high end steak restaurant decor, and the atmosphere is nice. It's a little loud, but in a good kind of way. After dinner, we went to visit friends in the wine cellar, which is a really cool room. That would make for a really neat dining experience.

Del Frisco's is not good for your pocketbook, but it is worth every dime. It will not let you down, and it's the perfect spot for a celebration in Fort Worth.

I had a 22 oz bone-in rib-eye steak.  I wanted to order it medium rare but the server suggested that I go with medium.  Glad I did.  Definitely one of the best rib-eye steaks I've had.  We ordered the shrimp cocktail, crab cakes, and fried oysters as appetizers.  I loved the fried oysters!  They had a really comprehensive wine list as well.  Not sure what the price range was but the two cabernets that the sommelier suggested were both excellent.  Definitely the destination for some good steak if you are visiting Fort Worth or Dallas.

Simply the best Ft Worth has to offer.  The staff is as well prepared as the food. The atmosphere is perfect. In more than 25 visits, I've never had a single item that wasn't perfectly cooked and prepared.  Those on a budget should probably reserve this for that special, guilt-free occasion.... but you can still have a wonderful meal vs dollars if you'll go easy on drinks & wine menu orders. If you're not on a budget, go all out......order the variety shrimp appetizer, your favorite wine (don't be shy, ask to tour the cellar) their finest 8 oz tenderloin, lobster tail and spinach supreme (a must!)....ENJOY!!
