Small and tavern-like, Dego Dames is a friendly hole-in-the-wall bar in the Little Italy neighborhood of Baltimore. Don't let the dive-bar appearance fool you -- this is no ordinary bar food; the man in back can produce some of the tastiest pizza you'll find in the mid-Atlantic. They're smallish in size, so be sure to order a few if you're there with friends.
The juke box is surprisingly well-stocked, and with drinks like the "cherry bomb" advertised above the bar, this place is a like a little piece of home, no matter where you're from. It doesn't hurt that Monica, the bartender, will remember you when you come back.
** Update 2/15/08 **
I've been back a dozen times since I wrote this review; however, just noticed that they've replaced their awesome jukebox full of often obscure wonder songs with one of those computerized machines that will pull up any song you can dream up for five credits. It was a sad day when I realized patrons could now fill this bar with the soul-killing sound of Creed anytime they want.
