My person and I wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast for the first time after doing some wine tasting in Livermore. This place was perfect - so perfect I'm scared to try other bed and breakfasts! I knew from the website that Cindi and Rick run a professional ship, and I was so pleased to find that they are as warm as can be the whole way through. After my person and I remembered that we had missed dinner at 9pm, and after the pizza delivery person hadn't arrived for over an hour, Rick decided to make food for us! He even delivered it to our rooms. Unbelievable. The room (mayor's suite) was lovely - clean and comfortable - oh my goodness, the water bed and the sheets are touched by angels or something, I swear. Try this place out, you won't be disappointed - there's a whole game room downstairs and a spa outside that we didn't even make time to try! Also, look for their specials on their website. Totally worth it. Thank you, Cindi and Rick!!!!

Update: 6/24 I just want to add that there is something delicious about the smell of the rooms. One of the extra shirts that I brought with me still smells like the heavenly aroma; I don't know what Cindi and Rick use, but it is divine.

This place is magical!  We have been twice now and were amazed at how relaxed and romantic it is.  The breakfasts are out of this world and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous.  The first time we stayed here was on a last minute whim and I am so glad we found this place.

This place is amazing! Cindi and Rick are the most accommodating hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Admittedly I was a little wary of the Christmas Tree Shoppe-like feel but soon forgot about that after this place lulled me into relaxation and made me feel at home. It's amazing how hospitable Cindi and Rick are. Cindi is a fantastic cook so if she offers you some cookies be forewarned that you will absolutely not be able to stop eating them. Seeing as it's in the Castro Valley the climate is cool/cold at night and sunny/hot in the morning. Deer roam in property freely, duck sit at the small patio pond, and if you stay in the Mayor's suite you'll be visited by Deer Crossings Queen, Princess the cat. The Mayor's suite is her favorite room...visiting hours are between 4AM and 7AM.

The hosts Cindi and Rick are wonderful. The interior of the house has been aesthetically done with an eye for detail and comfort of the guests. The landscape  is very welcoming and complements the rustic look of the house.
Our room was well appointed and the breakfast was excellent. We will definitely go back to experience a 'perfect getaway',  at this hidden gem right here in the bay area.

This place deserves more than 5 stars because it is absoultely amazing!! It is a gem hidden in the hills of Castro Valley. The owners, Cyndi and Steve are great. Cyndi is an amazing cook. My new favorite desert is S'mores bruelle, YUMM! The house is decorated in a very homey, rustic yet elegent style. The rooms are super cute and comfy. They have a fabulous hot tub that is perfect to enjoy on a nice evening, overlooking the roaring fire.
