Overall good restaurant. Out of a group of 8 people, we were divided in our food preference. Half had fish and the other half had steak. I can definitely speak for my entree that it was delicious. The sea bass was cook perfectly. Next time I go back, I will try the wine.
Overall, the decor, service, good, location were all a thumbs up.
Deep Fork seems like another average fine dining restaurant. The service and food were both good. My bf liked his OKC strip steak, which was perfectly cooked medium. My cedar plank salmon was also good, although they could've added a little less mustard sauce, which tasted like wasabi to me. I loved their parmesan risotto though, and so did the bf since he ate about half of it off my plate.
Overall, good service, a nice intimate atmosphere, and good food for fancy fine dining prices.

One of the most overrated restaurants in OKC. Having said that, the food isn't too bad.
My main problem is that Deepfork prices itself like a restaurant of MUCH higher quality (read: The Mantel) but doesn't deliver the goods when it comes to the food. I got coriander encrusted Ahi, it was OK.
We were one of the only tables there and service was till not very good at all. We were underdressed, and they treated us as such.
There is some decent beer on tap for OKC, such as Spaten Optimator.
I was here for a business dinner, so I have no idea about the check (someone higher up the food chain took the bill), but I greatly enjoyed the food, drinks, and service.
The steak I had was excellent, and the fancy mac'n'cheese one of my table mates ordered was amazing.
They've got good wines too.
I've been here for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner and loved all three in the past. The service is great and I don't feel like I get treated any differently weather it be when I go in with a business client for lunch or with my friends hung over from a late Saturday night.
The last two times I've eaten there it just hasn't been up to there standards. Maybe there slipping because they've opened so many new restaurants over the last couple of years I hope to give them 5 stars again soon.
The food is all very good but I do have my favorite dishes. The waitstaff is wonderful at making suggestions. I have been underwhelmed by the pasta before the "mac and cheese" dish was a little watery. There specials our always mouth watering.
Ok, I'll make a confession.... I have not really been to the Deep Fork Grill. But I did get a chance to sample some of their great food at a local fundraiser. Simply delicious, some of the best I've had in the area.
I also got a chance to talk with one of their head chefs who seemed like a really great guy.
Four Berry Parfait....sounds commonplace and I know McD's serves parfaits, but if you don't try this before you die then you've missed a little slice of heaven on earth. Forget your diet for one day....at least it has fruit in it!
For our last evening in Oklahoma City, we asked at the desk of our hotel to recommend a place. Deep Fork was the name given. Reservations were made and we all met there for dinner.
We started with drinks, which was a huge mistake. The Jack-and-Coke that was brought out involved we're not sure what but it wasn't coke. The Vodka Tonic came as a vodka soda; it was sent back and returned in the same condition. I don't know if they were training a new bartender, if their "tonic" and "coke" buttons were broken, or if they just didn't know what they were doing, but it made for some annoyed customers. Not an auspicious begining. The martini on the rocks came with out rocks. Personally, I ordered a "Chelsea Sidecar" from the drinks menu. It was delish and came as described. Maybe we should have stuck to using the menu of "special" drinks, rather than attempting to order drinks that ought to be known.
The food was good, the wine was good, and because of the inability to make drinks, the dessert was free (very good creme brulee, it was still warm!). With dessert, we ordered coffee & tea. When I asked what kind of tea they had, they noted a few kinds, I chose one and it arrived...on ice. Which I felt ought to have been mentioned, but it was good tea. Just cold.
I'd go back if someone mentioned it, the food *was* good, but I really wouldn't make it a point to stop at while in OKC.

Okay, it's not San Francisco but it's the closest you'll find in OKC (including the prices), but, be warned, the quantity more than makes up for it. We went here on our arrival December 23rd and the place was hopping. To make up for the delay, they presented us with a complimentary appetizer (chicken wrapped in bacon, which I've discovered seems to be a speciality in OK -- seen lots of menus with steak wrapped in bacon, though haven't dared to try!) and a complimentary dessert (what they called chocolate gateau was actually a triple chocolate decadent torte -- to die for!). The house specialty cedar plank salmon was moist and delicious. Hattie Belle's father, Taylor, *raved* about his spinach salad with gorgonzola and pecans.
The second time, my Okie friend, Miss Hattie Belle, and I sat at the bar and ordered appetizers... a couple for me, a couple for her. They could easily have fed 8 hungry San Franciscans!
The wine list was varied enough to be interesting and we bought a fabulous Chilean Carmenere for only $30 a bottle. More than anything, Jennifer, behind the bar, was super friendly and helpful, qualities sorely lacking in the staff at Bin 73, which you can read about among my reviews.
I give it four stars because, well, it isn't San Francisco....

We've been to Deep Fork half a dozen times as a couple, with the kids, and with a group. We've never been disappointed. The servers are responsive but don't hover. The portions are adequate. The food is very good--the cedar plank salmon is my wife's favorite and they know what "medium" means when cooking a steak. Desserts are very good.
They have a good wine list and the bartenders can make a martini according to your instructions. Definitely a gem in OKC.
The ambiance is a quiet place, with some special tables that are perfect for a romantic dinner. Business casual seems to be the norm, but nice jeans and a polo wouldn't be out of place.
YES!
^ That's what'd I'd always say if somebody invited me to Deep Fork... whether it's lunch, dinner or drinks - i'm going!
You should, too.

This was a second time I have been here although we sat over in the bar area this time I was very disappointed the area smelled like smoke I also noticed the area where we sat was very dirty they had not cleaned the tables , although the waitstaff was very nice and making wonder full suggestions. the food tasted wonderful to me and my family.
i've been here a few times for dinner and it's been kind of hit or miss. the last time i was here was for a pharmaceutical meeting and i ordered the hanger steak and frites. i ordered the steak medium rare, but got it medium and it was too chewy to even eat. my friend got the salmon and thought it was really good though. don't think i'll be returning any time soon

Too bad you can't give half a star. This place hasn't been open all that long but when we sold our house we decided to try all the places on the strip and figured they'd ironed the kinks out by now. Wrong.
Here's a short play by play of our trip.
Arrive, get seated by a jerky fidgety guy that we later joked was on something.
Sit for 15 minutes, waiting on our server.
Ask a passing server if we have a server assigned and if they're busy.
There are only 3 other tables seated around us, four others seated in another section of the place. The server (male) says he'll get right on it and have someone come out.
Que the same fidgety guy again.
He excitedly takes our drink orders and pops off. There's just two in our party so surely a couple of coke and water won't take too long...
Another 15 minutes pass...we start to get annoyed. Mr. Coke, as he's now known, returns with a sprite and a coffee. No, that's not what we ordered. Sent back.
Only 5 minutes this time. Great! Coke is flat, water has a lemon which we specifically requested it not. But hey, that was last week. He probably forgot.
Mr. Coke wanders off again telling us that he'll be right back.
He returns another 10 minutes later, looking dishelved. Hello again.
How's about telling us the specials? We're new. Sure, he says, and rattles off a few things in a brilliantly crafted language we've never heard of. We probably could have pressed the "Slow" button on him and understood it but not seeing any, we asked him to repeat.
He looks at us for a moment like we've grown two heads, then goes through them again like we asked him to give birth.
Gotta love people that love their job. I've been a server before, and I know you have to put whatever's bugging you in your apron and show a cheery attitude to your customer. That's how you make tips. Maybe he makes plenty being a manager. Anyway, moving along.
Orders placed, we wait agian. We've been here about an hour by this time and Mr. Coke pops back by with drinks...again...No thanks, we have our drinks. You brought them, remember?
At this point we decide this is probably not the place for us. We're very easy going people and we've kept smiles on throughout. To be honest, it was kind of humorous that we were getting such horrilbe service from a place with the name "Deep Fork".
We rise up to leave and Mr. Coke stops us to offer us a free hush-puppy type dessert as a way to apologize for "Whatever we did to upset you", we decline.
It's OK., we assure him. Maybe we'll try again when you're not so busy.
This is the best restaurant in OKC hands down. My husband and I first visited about 3 years ago and loved it so much we had our rehearsal dinner there. The service is always fantastic although dinner time is the best and the food is impeccable. I usually go with the chef's special and always get dessert. You are missing out if you are in OKC and don't eat here!
