This place will BLOW your mind. It's easily the coolest gas station I have ever been to, in the USA and around the world.

If you're a candy fanatic, you will die and go to heaven the second you walk into the door.

They have bag upon bag upon bag of gummies, nuts, dried fruit, chocolate and more. They have the GOOD gummy bears -- the slightly different coloured bears that have amazing flavours and are soft... ohmygod. Thank god this is in such a remote location or I'd weigh 900lbs (and my dentist would be a multi-millionaire).

P.S. Don't forget to take a picture with the giant Nutcracker statue!

I've been in here several times over the years. Most of the time it's when we're RV'ing and need a break.

In  the summer it's fun to stop in for the home made ice cream. Yummy stuff, and fairly reasonably priced. If you like candy or nuts, well, the name says it all. I have absolutely NO will power, so going in this place is deadly for me. They have something to satisfy any sweet tooth (or teeth) you may have. It's horrible! And, it's wonderful... Keep your kids out of this place unless you enjoy a sugar-high tot running around like a crazy person (which is what they are on sugar!).

But the most amazing thing is, Beatty is this old bedraggled mining type town that looks like it's hanging on by a thread. And then there's THIS place right there! It could be downtown L.A.. Clean, modern, and well stocked with all this decadent stuff. Great rest rooms too. There used to be a first rate steak house attached to the hotel way back but I guess not enough Beatty-ites could afford steak, and not enough tourists had TIME for steak so it's closed. Last time we were here (but staying at the RV park next door), the well stocked bar was still open. They had Gentleman Jack.  We fiddled with the slot machine and actually won enough to pay for our one night RV stay. Wow!

There's a HUGE truck parking lot across the street now too, so if you're truckin', this could be your place. Big sign as you enter the truck parking area says "No RV's". I guess the three local RV parks demanded that be posted.

Bottom line - if you're passing through Beatty, you've GOT to stop in here. If for no other reason, you have to SEE it to BELIEVE it.

The gas here is the same price as the Rebel gas in the center of town and if heading to Death Valley it's best to fill up here as the gas in DV is over $5/gallon

Clean restrooms, and all sorts of travel snacks available. I was given a free cup of coffee since I was filling up at the pump

This place is a HOOT.  I'm not sure who Eddie is.  The gas pump canopy proclaims it's Eddie's World.  And Eddie built us a semi-fantasy world full of fruits, nuts and other sweet things, not to mention gas.  The Michael Jackson of Beatty NV.  Writing about it like this, it sounds like my neighborhood.

It's an amazing place for such a tiny town.  Especially about 1 AM after you've been driving for 10 hours.  Bright castle jumping into sight from the dense desert darkness.

Do you absolutely need to stop here?  No, you don't.  Do you like a clean restroom in the middle of nowhere?  Do you need water, candy, nuts, ice cream, maps, ice, beer, soda, Subway Sandwiches, books on CD, and candy?  If so, this is a great stop.

It has become, for my wife and I, a stop that we always make.

It's a true oasis that probably has what you need on your way to or from Las Vegas.

This is a great pit stop going to/from Death Valley when you find yourself in Beatty.  The place has adequate parking, you need to refuel your car before or after your expedition, and you need to get more liquid in your body and/or leave some there.

The candy is a bit on the expensive side.  I was looking at some of their sugar free chocolate and it was $12.50 a pound.  That's not that bad, but for the kind of candy it was, it was high.

I did buy a bag of chili coated peanuts.  They sound like they have some zing.

The next time I'm in the area, I'll be stopping in.

This is a gas station/convenience store/candy shop.  The store is a huge large room with tons of candy, water, and other amenities next to the Stagecoach Casino.  They sell ice cream by the scoop and now they even have a Subway!

We stop here every time on the way to Bishop because we need gas around this point.  The restrooms are all the way in the back and are decent.  They have tons of paper towels - four or five dispensers mounted on the wall in the ladies' restroom.

The staff here is pretty nice.  The kid working the ice cream stand went AWOL so the person who took over for him gave my husband a free scoop because he had to wait.  The candy and ice cream is all pretty decent but nothing to go out of your way for.  I have not tried the Subway yet, but I assume it is just a regular Subway.

Happy it's in Beatty.  Very convenient and nice.

Great selection of nuts and candy. Of course, you'd hope so with a name like Death Valley Nut & Candy Co.

I first visited this place on the tail end of a Geology field trip out to Death Valley years ago. On my way back from my trip yesterday, I decided to stop again. Really, your trip wouldn't be complete without it. At the worst case, you get a likely needed bathroom break. In the best case, you leave with more varieties of candy and nuts than you could ever need. Or maybe that's also the worst case.

Seriously though, they have everything from your basic salted and unsalted peanuts (both Spanish and Virginia) to various flavored pistachios (like green jalapeno or garlic) to yogurt-covered nuts and fruit. The bags are around 1 pound each and the prices range from $2.29 per pound for peanuts to $7.99 per pound for pistachios to probably a lot more. Not all that cheap, but it's certainly fun browsing the aisles.

Actually called Eddie's World the stop is a great place between Dayton & Las Vegas for fuel and refreshments.  They are well known throughout the Silver State for it's quality bulk nuts and dried fruit selection.  In addition, you can stock up on cases of water and other assorted drinks.

The restrooms are always clean and the folks behind the counter are friendly.

We stopped here on our way home from Fallon, NV (near Reno, NV).  OK, so the rest room was our goal, but the candy in the many aisles kept us in the store much longer than we expected.

There are lots of favorites that you see or remember from many years ago.  Some new twists to old favorites.  Not just candy - we picked up some Hot and Spicy Mix, and the Sesame Stix that you normally find mixed in with a bunch of other stuff you don't want in other mixes.  The point is they have a vast variety - you have the ability to mix and match what you like and make your own candy or snack mix from what they sell.

Some of the prices seemed higher than expected, but others were certainly in line.  As the line grew at the register - they opened another register, which was nice.

This place is certainly on the must stop list if and when we make the LV to Fallon trip again.

This place is a great place to stop on a long road trip with not a whole lot to see along the way. The nut and candy co is full of candy, nuts, dried fruit, you name it. The gas is at a good price (compared to many places), the staff is friendly and who doesn't want a cold scoop of ice cream on a hot day? (just eat it quick). The nut and candy co, is the place to stop in Beatty, NV!

This place is pretty great.  Fabulous selection of bulk candy.  Just what my poor thinly enameled teeth needed.  Something for everyone here.  Lots of unique items along with the classics.  Amargosa gummy toad brains?  Don't remember seeing those before.  Passed on the gummy brains but did buy about 5 pounds of candy.  Ice cream was decent too.

Filled up back in Tonopah but seeing the price of the gas here regretted it.  It seemed much cheaper at this location.

Lot's of rows of candy and nuts in the middle of the desert. An interesting change from a few miles away in Death Valley. The nice lady at the checkout told me that the Stagecoach Casino owns this Candy company and many other businesses' in Beatty. I was also asked her if they have a BEAT-E magnet and she said, "It's Beatty, like Warren Beatty" and got slightly defensive. It was cute and she was nice. They did not have a Beatty magnet though. :(

There was tons of candy with really soon to expire expiration dates and there was also dates that were nearly a month away, so those are the bags we grabbed. My partner picked spicy pistachios and I picked chocolate covered cookie dough.  Back in Death Valley, I ate the chocolate and it was delicious! Nuts were good too. I just like nuts without shells better.

Lots of fabulous candy and nut selection.  It is attached to the gas station next to the casino.  The cashier was pretty annoyed that I "only have four gallons of gas, ugh."  I filled it, what can I do, buy a gas can???  Do I really need lip from someone who wears sweatpants to work?

Anyway, selection was great and the bags large. There was an ice cream counter too, but it was too chilly for my taste.

A fun stop for the kids (and grown-ups) on a trip to Death Valley. Huge selection of candies, including sugar-free and, yay, even a few carob choices! Also a good selection of black licorice for the connoisseur. Worth a trip, especially if you're visiting Rhyolite or if you're about to go on the bumpy road to Titus Canyon.

Big floor, ice cream counter, many candies in "bulk", (which isn't any cheaper than buying small packs of the name brands), and a pretty good selection of nuts.

I find a comparable selection in the bulk department of my local Safeway.  I'm sorry, but I wasn't impressed.

This is the best place to stop for gas in Beatty, they have all the usual gas station groceries ( bacon rinds and mt. Dew) along with all kind of candy. Usually stay in Beatty on he way to Death Valley. The motel 6 and this candy store along with the casino restaurant are all in the same area next to each other. They have ice cream too.

I am not sure why the reviews are so high. Beatty is a town you only visit if you are going to Death Valley and this Candy store is the only thing open past 10 pm besides the casino. The candy is stale and the store lacked charm with wide open aisles and empty shelves. The cashier did give us a postcard for free so I gave them some stars for that but c'mon this place is just a poor attempt at kitschy childhood nostalgia.

The sign says "welcome to eddie world" this gas station/various dried food store was actually the highlight of the town for me.  They had some of the best trail mix I had ever had, and the dark chocolate covered espresso beans were my crack for a couple of days.  The selection of candy and nuts and fruit and pretty much anything else that the 10 year old in side you is craving to munch on is ginourmous and the quality is really good.  Plus they have homemade ice cream (good in the desert) and BEER.

Don't miss this place!  There is probably more counter space devoted to nuts and candy than all other markets within 100 miles.  We found makin's for our trail-mix here - stuff we hadn't ever seen before (vanilla yogurt chips, date rolls).  Most items were well-priced, but a few items were over-priced.
