Be ready for fried, fried, fried and more fried and be ready to love it! It's a nice diner spot with the most fantastic servers in town. We started with local beers in frosty chalices as big as my head and the complimentary boiled potatoes that you;ll yearn for days later.
Huge portions of crab claws, crawfish tails, fried softshell crab, fried chicken, gumbo, jambalaya, and on & on...
All the food was delicious (not mind blowing, but very satisfying) and easy on the wallet. A great local experience.

Deanie's is a solid 3 star experience.

This was my first dining experience upon arriving to the Big Easy on 10/25/09.

The food - I ordered the VooDoo Juice ($10.00) and the half seafood platter ($24.00). The VooDoo Juice was Good, but for the price it was a bit watered down.  The seafood platter was good, but it didn't blow me away.  I really enjoyed the catfish.  If I knew then what I know now, I would just order the two item combo with catfish and shrimp for $14.95.

The service - reaaly good.  My server was very attentive.  I never had to seek her out for anything.

Overall, the food was just ok.  The portions are huge and the prices are pretty reasonable for the FQ.  If you like huge portions of deep fried food that could probably use a little salt for added taste then this is your place.

Be ready to get messy.  The boiled potatos at this place are soo good, you can make a meal out of them alone.  Just enough pepper in them to get you fired up.

The BBQ shrimp was INSANE good.  By far, it was the largest shrimp I've ever seen.  The homemade BBQ sauce is sweet, and spicy, and sour, and tangy, and shrimpy, and perfect!  I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in N.O. looking for some really good comfort seafood.

Love love love this place.  Loved our server, loved the atmosphere, and loved the freaking BBQ'd shrimp...oooohhhh yeah.  It was right on par with other FQ prices, but the seafood was fresh and well prepared.  My suggestion is though, try not to get a bunch of fried stuff.  Seriously, the batter is a bit on the rich side and can overwhelm the taste of the seafood.  My BF adored the etouffee but like I said bbq'd shrimp mmmm.  Don't bother getting any of the mixed drinks though.  They were REALLY pricey and not that big.  Save that for a little hole in the wall up the street called the Three Legged Dog.

Well I can easily say I am not a huge fan of creole or southern food in general but I will definitely try anything once... or twice.

The place was PACKED! There was a 45 minute wait and there were a lot more locals looking to come in the city than just all tourists.

The establishment is clean, hosts and manager friendly. We found a seat at the bar and claimed it. The bartenders were both very pleasant, had recommendations and were knowledgeable.

I'm not boozing it now b/c I am preggers but my mom enjoyed their Voodoo Punch (lots o' rum) and me some straight-up iced-t. Exciting, I know.

Charbroiled Oysters were good as well, not overly cheesy/greasy. Salad was decent. Traditional style, nothing fancy.

EVERYTHING IS FRIED. Ugh. NOT what I was looking for. The crabcake was excellent, but the side of fried with a side of fried was not my forte. Crab claws were easy to eat and tasty... for the first two. But again, FRIED. Softshell crab was good but I feel like all the batters were the same on all the products on the crab quartet we ordered instead of having a different style to compliment the different types of crab/parts.

The cheesecake was homemade and I highly recommend it!

I give the service four stars but the food two so I will compromise on three.

I would give Deanie's a 3 star rating based on the fact that the food was good (not spectacular).  Price-wise, they're in the ballpark with other FQ establishments (read expensive for what you get), but not unreasonably so.

The atmosphere is kind of odd.  Not eclectic, but not really like anything else that I've seen in the Quarter.

Service was quick and attentive, but I ate in the bar area.

+1 star for having several types of Abita on tap.  If I can ever find a place that has Purple Haze on tap (other than their brew pub on the Northshore), I'll be a happy dude.

good lord, the servings here feed more than one person...    they start you out with the cajun new potatoes, instead of bread, and they have some heat to them.   I've brought friends here over the years...   you can bring three to four folks in, and order the small seafood platter, and feed all three or four on the one dish....  THATS how big the servings are...

that sampler seafood platter is a nice tasting for anyone who hasn't had softshell crab, crab cakes, shrimp, and more...

the char broiled oysters are also nice, I personally like the crabmeat augratin...  super rich.   Like I said, take a friend, or friends, and share everything, as there is so much...  a little goes a long way...

fresh oysters app is quite nice, and the waitstaff is over the top.  Your seated southern style...  hustling, bustling, and nice bar up front if you don't want to sit at a table.

super clean, super old skool, very new orleans...

you can't go wrong here, and kids menu, to boot..

Deanie's seafood was so good! I went there twice! First for lunch and the second for dinner. For lunch I shared the grilled oysters and bbq shrimp and ordered a bucktown catch of the day which was a blackened red fish. I don't like oysters but their grilled oysters was delicious! It was grilled with garlic butter and cheese! Anything goes with garlic butter and cheese! I loved it and this is from a non-oyster eater.  The bbq shrimp was also great. We got the app version and there was only 5 shrimps.  Normally I'd let the other person have 3 and I'd get 2, but the dish was so good, I made him split it all the way. Yes we cut that 5th shrimp in half!  :)  The bbq shrimp is made in this spice mix and oil and cooked in the shell. The key to eating it is pouring out the oil so that the hot oil isn't still cooking the shrimp. It's a messy dish because you have to peel the shrimp yourself but it was soo good and so fresh!

The blacken red fish was also great! It was blackened and covered in spice rub. YUM YUM YUM!!!

For dinner, I ordered the grilled oyster and bbq shrimp again and was not disappointed.  My friend got the fried Crab Quartet. It was good  and fresh.  But I'd go get the grilled oysters and bbq shrimp over and over again!!!

And we sat at the bar both times and enjoyed our service. We got better service during lunch time because it wasn't that busy. At dinner, it was still good but he wasn't as attentive because he was busy. But I'm still a very happy customer.

I ate here 3 times during my stay, even though I had plans to try many other places. Enough said.

First Meal:
First time I had their Crab Quartet - crab prepared 4 different ways.  A whole crab deep fried, a mountain of crab claws dusted with a seasoned corn meal and fried, stuffed crab, and crab remoulade.  Let just say my claw shells was larger than most whole seafood plate in SoCal.. sad and I do not even like fried food but I devour the entire crab.

I loved the crab quartet for the honest amount of crab it delivered and the freshness and firmness of the meat.  But somehow it is not 100% satisfying since it was not my ideal balanced meal.

Second Meal:
The BBQ shrimp plate was the best dish among all the meals during my week long stay in NO.  Not only the texture but the freshness of the shrimp was evident. They are very large too.  Sucking the juice out of the head was almost sensual. The BBq sauce is an explosion in flavor (but not sweet).  Given the lofty standards of NO this is saying something.  For $10.95 life does not get better than this.

Cajun style 'red fish'.  The fish was nicely blackened but not burnt.  I was worried about this for a while.  The fish was still moist which is a major plus. The seasoning was a little heavy on the salt.

Third Meal:
On my last day in NO I debated whether to try another place (I have a list of 5-6 on the ToDo list) or head back to here.  I made the fateful decision and ordered a seafood salad.  You should see the size of the plate - it is the kind used in some buffet stations for one item.  It came with crab meat, artichoke hearts, whole boiled shrimp and enough lettuce to feed a family.  The crab meat is formed into a cup shape and like 5+ oz there. That and the artichoke hearts can be almost a meal by itself.

5 Bbq shrimp - the BEST.
4.5 Cajun fish - a bit too salty but moist and very flavorful.
5 Seafood Salad - best value.
4 Crab Quartet
5 Value

Most people ordered their seafood plater which was fried.  I did not want to eat a full meal of fried food so I passed. However it looks like a nice appetizer for sharing amount a larger group.

A couple of the dishes are a bit salty for my taste (the fish). Since I sweated a lot walking to dinner it was ok.  You just need to order another of their gigantic beer in a bowl.  Wish I had a way to take some pics.

What is sad is the fact I cannot get anything close to these type of food in LA.

Mountain. Of. Seafood.
We got the half portion of the seafood platter and that was enough for 2 of us. Fried seafood was hot and tasty. Absolutely no atmostphere to the restaurant. Nothing else to say except that it was pretty average. We had a situation where the waiter accidentally swiped my card for the wrong bill, and initially my credit card got charged for both bills, but then the wrong charge went away after a couple days.

This was the first place I popped my po-boy cherry. and personally for po-boys I feel like its a fight between this and parkway trailer and bakery.

However, what I love about deanie's was that the servings were ridiculously huge and the fried seafood was delicately fried in huge pieces. Another good thing about this place is that you can ask for a tartar sauce instead of mayo. (definitely an upgrade) and these people dont forget to give you some lemons for them fishies.

lunch has a nice deal where there give you have the size of a sandwich. but the regular size is definitely shareable with another person even if the waiter said that it's yey-big (its actually bigger than what they say).

Another wonderful plus is that, they give you some complimentary baked mini potatoes with butter. OH YES!

This place is awesome! You definitely get your bang for your buck! Your server will first greet you "How y 'll doin'?" Then ask you what you want for a drink. This place is pretty amazing with their Abita local brew selections (i think they got 5 selections) for only $4.25 for a chilled schooner.  While you are waiting for your drinks, your server delivers you an authentic Boiled cajun spice red potatoes with butter.
Our first visit, we had 1/2 dozen Oysters on the half shell for an appetizer. we also ordered Deanie's Famous $14.95 Combo Dinner (shrimp, oysters, catfish) boiled. My boyfriend ordered $16.95 Crawfish Quartet (Crawfish prepared 4 delicious ways, crawfish etouffee, crawfish au gratin, fried crawfish tails & crawfish dressing balls).  Oh my! We were impressed & filled up! So much food that we ended up boxing the leftovers.
We learned our lesson from our first visit. So we decided to order less on our second visit. My boyfriend ordered a bowl of Seafood and Okra Gumbo for $8. I ordered Half Seafood Platter ( a bounty of fresh shrimp, oysters, catfish, softshell crabs & crawfish dressing balls) for $24.95. It was fabulously AWESOME!
This is the best place to eat Seafood in the French Quarter with N'Awlins hospitality!

Just 2 blocks down the long lines of ACME, i think if you ever get stuck in that line, you just definitely trek on over to Deanie's.  They have everything ACME has, minus the Oysters, and at a lower price.

Place is big and can accomadate large parties -- a cross between a 60's dinner and a Vegas hotel restaurant. I almost expected Keno.

Staff is EXTREMELY nice.  On the way out, seeing I was obviously not local, the cop guard at the door jokingly hassled me about carrying beer out.  Then he went on to tell a story of when he was almost arrested for drinking on the streets down in TX....a cop telling talking about being arrested :).

Food was good and huge portions.  I ordered:
BBQ Shrimp ($10.95 for about 8) -  a MUST try!!
Crawfish Quartet ($16) -- heeeeavy...a ok.  I could pass.  people rave about the crawfish dressing balls...i find them not that great.
Stuffed Crab (2 for $12) -- overly salty, but lots of crab in the mix, yummy overall.

I actually went back and bought to-go the next night to eat at the hotel...
Fried Softshell Crab (2 for $16) -- DELICIOUS.

I walked in here on a hot New Orleans day, and let me tell you, the air was cranked up on full blast!  Yay!!  Cute little restaurant (well, it is rather large), and I opted to sit at the bar since I was alone.  Service was prompt and friendly.

I ate the stuffed crab, which was pretty darn good with fries and cole slaw.  I showed up for lunch on a Saturday around 1:00 and there wasn't a wait at all.  In fact, there were plenty of seats that were available.

There was a ton of food, so I felt bad for not being able to eat everything.  Boo!  If it would have traveled well, I probably would have brought it back to Chicago with me :-)

PS--you can order take out, but there's some sort of goofy charge to take it to go...read the menu.

Cooked food is only worthy of 2 stars, but the fresh oysters on the half shell bring it up to 3.  We came on a Saturday night and the wait was 1.5 hours, but the bar area is big and they have a bunch of TVs so the time passed really quickly.  Their full menu is available at the bar as well, so my boyfriend and I split a dozen oysters as an appetizer.

The oysters at Deanie's (and all the other restaurants we went to in New Orleans) were amazing!  Fresh, plump, creamy, and clean-tasting, with no trace of fishiness.  Deanie's sources their oysters from the same supplier (P&J) as neighbors Acme and Felix.

The food was unspectacular.  Though it was ok, I was unimpressed by our entrees.  After seeing Adam Richman devour the BBQ shrimp (shell and all) on 'Man v Food', I was disappointed to find the dish oily and the shrimp limp and hard to peel.  They don't devein the shrimp too, which is a disgusting travesty when you have large shrimp.  The crawfish quartet (etouffee, au gratin, fried tails, and dressing balls) was better.  I thought the au gratin was a little too oily and the etouffee uninspiring, but the dressing balls and the crawfish tails were really tasty.  The dressing balls reminded me of crawfish hushpuppies.

We had the coconut bread pudding for dessert and found it entirely skippable.  It had been warmed in the microwave and there was nothing custardy about it.  Though not bad-tasting by any means, you're better off saving the calories for hurricanes on Bourbon Street.

Another great find in New Orleans. This popular spot live up to its name. My husband and I went there for dinner. We shared half seafood platter. It was too huge to be called half order. It had fried oyster, shrimp, catfish and soft shell crab and french fry's with deep fried corn bread stuffing. Needless to say we left there happy and stuffed. We also tried their deep fried crawfish tails. yammy.

A  French quarter classic.

I love -

-the salty potatos ( notably different)

-the fried oysters ( better than Acme)

I am amused by-

-the diner atmosphere ( really odd)

-the sassy waiters ( make-up and all)

I go back for -

- a unpretentious meal

- a unique NOLA experience.

This is a fried food joint... sure they have other things but that is what their specialty seems to be.

I went in and after a lot of hum-and hawing, plus my concern about being healthy I ended up with the Crab Quartet and a dozen oysters.  One reason was that it was my last night in New Orleans the other was that I couldn't find anything on the menu that was healthy (and seemed good to me).

Oysters were fine... nothing bad to say about a dozen raw.
Crab was tasty and it came with a crab ball, soft shell crab, Crabmeat Au Gratin (crab and cheese) and crab claws (plus fries and coleslaw).

The food was good basic fried food but the fish was fresh and the portion big.  The only negative I had was the crab claws were over breaded and honestly too many of them.  I am a big guy but i like my variety too.

Good beer selection, bar was nice to sit at.  Lines can be long.  Good service... as another review (Steven B.) wrote "NYC diner meets New Orleans cuisine" which doesn't seem that far off.  But as pure word-of-mouth goes everyone seemed to want to send me here.

This is a restaurant where you must arrive with specific expectations. If you don't like fried stuff, I'd probably recommend going elsewhere.

Deanie's has one of the best fried shrimp/ fried anything plates in New Orleans. Anyone who says it's average either

A) doesn't know what they're talking about, or
B) had a rare bad experience

I'll admit that I haven't eaten there for awhile, since I last visited New Orleans, but when I lived here it was absolutely my go-to spot for fried plates. The potatoes they bring you at the beginning are awesome and unique... instead of bread, they bring the potatoes cooked along in the  Crawfish Boil. They're spicy, piping hot, and delicious.

I recommend the shrimp, but everyone I go with is usually pleased no matter what they ordered.

Prime time wait is really long, especially when you just got off a 7-hour flight.
Off-times you can go sit right down.

Tim P. brought us here after talking it up for I don't know how long. Years, probably.

You know how someone builds something up so much that it ends up being a bit disappointing? That was not the case at all here, Deanie's is FANTASTIC. The potatoes [served in place of the usual bread] were delicious, the food portions were ridiculous [Chad and I split a HALF mixed seafood platter and could only eat about half of it], everything was delicious, my daughter's BBQ shrimp pasta was so good, we came back to have it for our last meal before heading home, they have Abita Nitro on tap, and the service is SUPER. Oh and the salad that has the fig sauce on it -- get that. Super yum.

Oh, Deanie's - how can you be so good?  You met all of our expectations and then surpassed them like an Olympiad running for the gold.  And gold it was, from the golden battered seafood to the gold star service we received the moment we walked into the door.

The new potatoes, flavorful and spicy from a dip in the crawfish boil, were a treat slathered in butter.  And the finger-licking Barbecue Shrimp are so good that you'll be sopping up the buttery spice that they are bathed in until it's gone.  It's tough, though, because that only slows you down before the main event.

Don't even think of ordering any appetizers if you plan to finish your fried seafood platter.  The half platter is more than enough for two people, and it managed to thoroughly defeat my husband and I with the two of us trying to whittle away at the enormous portion.  If you are looking for a mess of fried seafood (shrimp, oysters, catfish, crawfish dressing balls - which taste like fried balls of stovetop with crawfish tails - and softshell crab), this is the way to go.  Just squeeze lemon over the whole mess and start dunking in the cocktail and tartar sauce.  Fries, though yummy, are only there to slow you down.  We actually watched a table of six frat guys order SIX orders of the fried platters for two.  We assumed that they knew what they were doing, but as we passed them on the way out, they all had faces on like they had made a terrible mistake.  Truly, don't tempt fate - the portions are HUGE.

I had the Crawfish Quartet, with fried tails, crawfish etoufee (surprisingly excellent, I scraped the bowl), more of the crawfish dressing balls, and a shockingly mediocre crawfish au gratin.  The au gratin, tasting of only cream cheese and nothing else, seemed like a sauce for fish or chicken, maybe, rather than a dish.  Next time, I would order the Crawfish Etoufee and the rest I'd skip completely.

We didn't make it to dessert, but as we staggered out with our to-go bag in hand, we were nonetheless pleased for stopping into the treat that was Deanie's.

Was really sub par compared to the other places we went in the city.  The gumbo was extremely bland with no kick, and the seafood platter we got was a little strange.  The crab au gratin tasted as though they had used half and half as the milk base and the stuffed crab was all stuffing and no crab.  Ah well live and learn.

If I could just eat their crawfish dressing balls all the time...

Always packed. Huge beers on tap. Huge portions of food. Lots of tourists (the Metairie location is less touristy). I adore the crab boil-infused potatoes they serve as a bread substitute. Even their fried softshell crabs are delicious (and I think eating softshell crab is liking eating fingernails!).

I have yet to try any of their old New Orleans-inspired desserts as I am always too full!

Went here at the suggestion of one of the street cops!  We were wandering around French Quarter and asked a police woman where she felt they served the best po boy and she immediately advised us to go to Deanies!  We immediately walked over since we were just 2 blocks way from Canal Street, but it was super packed.  We decided to head back to the hotel and wait a little bit until a more formal dinner time.

I also made the mistake of thinking they take reservations when I read here on Yelp that they do, but they DO NOT!  I called and the lady answering promptly corrected me, so you honestly have to wait in line.

It was still busy when we got there around 7:30pm, but it seemed like the line went fast.  Got seated and did enjoy the potatoes appetizer.  I ordered the Catfish Po Boy and Seafood Gumbo!  So much food, but SO SO GOOD!  My husband ordered the Crawfish Etouffee and enjoyed it as well.  The portions were huge and we actually shared everything.  We did not have room for dessert!  =(

Prices are right.  Food is good.  Love the craw fish etouffee and when oysters are really in season they do them fantastic.

Feels like an upscale diner.   Nice place for family and if you want good food, but don't want to pay for fancy.

Also, they have some the the cleanest bathrooms in the French Quarter.

Last time I was here they were not in the French Quarter, so this is a one visit review.  I'll definitely  go back!

After searching the Quarter for good, reasonably priced meals for 20 years now I think we found a gem in Deanie's Seafood! Restaurant was hopping on a Wednesday night (good sign)-20 minute wait for table. I think I had the BEST crawfish etoufee ever-and I can make a good one. Dining partner's gumbo was also really tasty--nice, thick roux--puts Acme's & Felix's to shame.  Those cute little (spicy!) (free) potatoes they serve as an "appetizer" are good, too! We didn't try the oysters but heard they get theirs from the same supplier as Acme & Felix's so they're probably great, too.Fried seafood platters were HUGE!!  Nice big bar--packed with people. Looked like mostly locals---as they've been in business in Bucktown for a long time.  Walked away fat and happy and still had $$ in our pockets--not bad!

THE best seafood establishment in the universe.

PERIOD.

The ultimate seafood platter known to man resides here. For around $32 you get a little bit of everything, including soft shell crabs.  Nothing like going here on a Friday or Saturday night to go stuff yourself mercilessly with fried seafood to the point of reaching permanent high cholesterol.

The best part about this is they have a wonderful way of frying things, but not mixing the flavor of food. This happens when you fry everything in the same exact batter + seasonings (fry catfish in the same oil you fry jalapeno poppers)

The diabetic crash you get from eating here is extremely serious. One of the few places you actually need to get somebody to drive you home cause you're too tired to hit the accelerator.

Very cheap and affordable. While it is not fancy or trendy it delivers very good to excellent seafood for about 1/2 the price of nearby (read even 1/2 block away) restaurants. OK it is a bit of a family place and not fancy but the food is cheap, the beer is cold and its fast. What more could one ask for in this price range.Right near the end of Bourbon St (at corner of Iberville) and just about 100yards from my favorite never closes bar (The Alibi).
If you aren't fussy about atmosphere I highly recommend it.

Why did I listen to the concierge? ARRRGGGHHH!!!! I should have known better!!! This restaurant's not even listed in our Zagat book nor did I read about it on Chowhound. I obviously came prepared for our N'Awlins Food Fest but did not even heed my own well-laid out plans!!!

Anyhoo, this restaurant's in the French Quarter - very close to ACME Oyster (review coming shortly).

Our server highly recommended her fave dish - the stuffed shrimp with crabmeat filling. I ordered it broiled but she heard fried and it came prepared this way. It tasted like fried mush. Actually, it had very little seasoning. My husband had 1/2 dozen oysters and the crab au gratin. The oysters, according to him, were bland - despite the parmesan cheese topping. The crab au gratin was just a sea of cheese and sour cream? with bits of crab. Ewwwww...

I just don't understand why some restaurants think all they have to do is fry something and it'll be tasty. NOT!

Very crowded during dinnertime so expect a long wait (around 40 minutes).
Soup of the day happened to be crab n'corn which was really good. Then we had 1/2dozen charbroiled oysters smothered in butter. My flounder was stuffed with crabmeat and my baked potato was 'loaded' with cheese, sour cream, and bacon. Fried seafood dinners are huge so be prepared to share those dishes.

GREAT BARBEQUE SHRIMP!!!  -- Who would've though BBQ Shimp was not barbedqued... but rather cooked in a iron skillet with lots of browned butter and gigantic shrimp!    It was great!

They serve each table with these boiled flavored potatoes and boy was it good with butter and salt!  I ordered the crawfish trio and it was OK-  I think the highlight of the meal was the BBQ shrimp we ordered.  It seems like everyone was ordering their massive plates of FRIED SEAFOOD.  I mean, it is MASSIVE!  So, if you like fried seafood... this is definitely your place.

For those looking to eat healthy, they have some salad choices, pretty good ones too and their dressing choices are pretty good.  But, I think you will have a heard time ignoring everyone's order (FRIED FOOD).

I recommend the BBQ shrimp and boiled potatoes.

Deanie's is great! I have been to New Olreans 3 times and have gone to Deanie's each of those times. The atmosphere is light & fun. They give you huge beers (try the Andygator) as well as huge portions! You will not walk away hungry that is for sure! The char-broiled oysters are amazing!!! I have never had a bad meal at Deanie's and look forward to eating there each time we are in New Orleans!

A local seafood chain that is worth a try for some gumbo with kick!  An interesting main entree was the seafood pizza with crawfish and shrimp, which I would go back to try.  The wait time is fast and there's an extensive bar to fulfill all your NOLA libation wishes.  I ordered the seafood salad with a creole dressing.  It came with fresh tomatoes, greens, cucumbers, and a good lump of fresh crabmeat and medium sized shrimp.  I was fighting a cold when I came here, so I decided to go with a salad because my taste buds were shot and couldn't really taste the zesty gumbo my friend had ordered.

Went here based on my hotel's concierge recommendation based on newly broken foot (be very careful of potholes at night in FQ) which limited my ability to move around and what I was able to wear. This was a wonderful suggestion--low key, smiling/friendly waitress with very good food.  We went early enough--no line.  Good to see locals there along with tourists.

Thoroughly enjoyed the crab-boil new potatoes, BBQ shrimp, crawfish boil.  The real surprise was how much we enjoyed the grilled oysters--I really love raw Louisiana oysters and the thought of covering them in parmesian with garlic then lightly broiled--YUM!!OOO-LA-LA!!!  We ordered a 2nd batch.

Dessert was their sundae--it was OK--should have ended the meal with the 2nd batch of oysters.

We will definitely go back when we're in NOLA.

There is a heck of a wait at dinner for a table, but for your patience, you are rewarded with generous servings, excellent service, and high quality seafood. It feels like a neighborhood restaurant and the lack of both formality and pretension are refreshing.

Oh - and when I say the portions are generous, I and two other guys split a salad and a seafood platter - and we had enough left over to make another meal.

Omfg was this a lot of food.  Like twice as much food as we could have even considered eating.  Order small onion rings and get a stack 18 inches high.  Order a beer and it comes in a goblet sized for a giant.

Atmosphere is on-par with Applebees but the food was pretty tasty.  Instead of bread they bring new potatoes that have been boiled up with the crawfish and crab and spices.  Warm, soft, spicy balls of fantastic.  My shrimp po'boy was only okay, but still hit the spot.

Thinking about it now I'm kind of revolted by the sheer mass of fried things that landed on our table.   And by how much of it we ate!
