Don't rent an apartment in a building managed by this company. I lived in an apartment building they previously managed, at 2930 5th Avenue, in Rock Island. (They no longer manage the property.) They failed to provide basic maintenance and cleaning services. For example, the light bulbs in the hallway burned out every single month, and were only replaced weeks later at best. At one point nearly every light bulb in the hallway was burnt out, making it hazardous to walk up and down the stairs at night. It was truly unsafe. Additionally, the washing machines broke and were never fixed.

As far as basic services, the hallways were rarely vacuumed. The front steps were also never shoveled in the winter, which made it difficult to walk to the bus stop. They also did not provide recycling.

I've been a renter for eight years, and this company is the worst landlord I've ever had. Landlords behave like this because unfortunately all too often they can get away with it. Save yourself the trouble, and rent from someone else.
