Using DC Access has been great for so many reasons:
1. Matt and Martha are two of the nicest and most helpful people you will ever encounter at an internet service company. They are the owners and they handle all service issues personally. Your calls/emails do not get routed to some anonymous call center.
2. The internet service is great and very reliable. On the rare occasion that something goes wrong (for us it was a freak storm that damaged the wireless antenna on our roof), they respond to calls immediately and Matt is out on site promptly to fix things. No waiting around in 4-hour windows for some questionable "technician" like with Comcast.
3. The prices are very reasonable.
4. It's not Comcast/Verizon/(insert name of huge horrible corporate internet provider)!!! Instead, you are supporting a great local/small business.
If only all internet providers could be like DC Access! Sadly, we are moving out of our Capitol Hill apartment but maybe someday they will expand into other neighborhoods. -

LOVE! I am in love with my new internet service. I too, was fed up with overbilling and poor service from Verizon and was looking for alternatives. I was encouraged by the positive reviews for DC Access and pleased to support a local company. It was not a mistake! I will tell everyone I know on the Hill about then - Matt, Martha and their staff are great to work with and the price is affordable (34.99/month). My internet is MUCH faster than Verizon and the service is great. SO happy!

After some rough treatment at the hands of Verizon, I turned to DC Access for internet access. They are a pleasure to deal with: I made an appointment and they showed up on the dot. Their internet prices might be a touch higher than Verizon's, but I'd be happy to tell you about the $100 bogus fee that Verizon levied on me, told me would be removed, but then did not remove, and threatened to send me to collections over. Point is, I'm happy to pay for the service that DC Access provides, and that includes their truly outstanding customer service and freedom from the arbitrary service and pricing that most internet providers offer.

I had internet service through DC Access for a few years when I lived on the Hill. Then I moved to Logan. The thing I miss most about Capitol Hill is DC Access!!
The service was reliable and affordable and the personal attention was top notch! I also loved that I was supporting a good local business.
I keep hoping that DC Access will expand to my area of the city so that I can stop spending my money supporting big, soulless Verizon! -

We've had DC Access for about a month now and I love it. Fabulous service, fast internet, local small business.
Installation was easy, and as andrew h. noted in his review, Matt came out and climbed our roof to upgrade our service once already (free).
It's already a million times better than our Verizon DSL, both the service and the product. (for the same price, btw) -

I've been a resident of Capitol Hill and a customer of DC Access for almost a year.
DC Access is the best internet service provider I've ever used. The
connection is great, the price is very affordable and the customer service that Matt and Martha provide are unparalleled. -

I've been a Capitol Hill customer of DC Access since July, 2009. We use their service for personal wireless internet and I rely on it for my home-based business, too.
I've found them to not only be reliable, but they are also fantastic to work with. We'd used Comcast and Verizon before and it was impossible to get an adequate response when there were problems. Matt, on the other hand, came back several times to switch out my router and rework the channel scan because it turns out that I live in a particularly congested area when it comes to bandwidth. Of course, that's something Comcast and Verizon were never able to tell me.
They are great with customer service and always responsive. I also like supporting a local business, with owners that are visible and active in the community. -

The BEST internet provider in the metro DC area. We use them for our business on Capitol Hill. I just wish they would hurry up & expand over the river to the rest of S.E. DC.
