We have stayed here at least 5 times over the last few years.  First few times were great, the place was relatively new and clean.  But over the last couple of years, it's becoming more and more run down.

The room we had last Saturday, (106) was like the cops had served a search warrant on the place or someone hosted a cage fighting event.  Front door was dragging and hard to close, the little security bar had been ripped out of the door and was non existent, there was a hole in the wall where the door knob had slammed into it also breaking the door stop, the bathroom door was like it had been recently kicked off the hinges and wouldn't close all the way, the reading lights at bedside didn't work and when I went to see if it was plugged in behind the bed, (which it was), I can tell you it never gets cleaned back there.  Yikes!  And the trim was torn off a leg of a nightstand leaving small nails exposed.

Memo to housekeeping, clean behind the headboards and because the shower curtains are too long and lay in the tub, when you turn on the shower you are quickly reminded that many people usually pee in the shower.  It's OK to wash the shower curtains!!!  Pretty gross.

Price was good especially for an event weekend and the beds were comfortable.  On duty managers were very friendly, but someone needs to crack the whip.  I just don't know if I can get past the pee smell in the shower to come back

Solid, clean Days Inn located half a mile from downtown Sutter Creek. The staff was quite friendly and professional, and the room was in good condition. I wish the rooms had bigger windows so you could get more light, but oh well. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay in Gold Country, this is a good choice.
