This place isn't even trying.

The first thing I noticed was that it was quite warm...in the lobby.  Apparently, they've either turned up or turned off the thermostat.  I was given a room upstairs in the back of the hotel.  Climbing the stairs, it got hotter with each step.  The AC is completely turned off in the halls, and as it turned out, was also off in my room.  I had to turn the AC on and leave the building for a while before the room was liveable.

When I checked in, the clerk asked if I would need internet.  Of course, I said yes.  When I could enter my room and use the computer, I found that it wouldn't work.  I was too far from the wireless node, with too many walls between it and me.  I'm forced to go the the (uncooled) lobby to use the internet.  While I was there, I heard a guy come looking for a crib for his baby.  They don't have any cribs. (???)

I had to do laundry.  There is a washer and a dryer for guests (one of each).  There's no detergent dispenser there, so I asked the desk if they have any....No, they don't sell soap.  Can I get change for the machines?  We don't have any.  So, I scrounge some change, and run my laundry.  When I come down to take my stuff out of the dryer, I find that the dryer hose vents inside the room....and it's now raining inside, from the condensation dripping off the ceiling.  

The walls and carpets in the halls are niicked, scratched, and worn.  The room smells like....something, I'm just not sure what.  

On the plus side, the room and bathroom appear to be clean, and at least the AC works.  But they're not doing anything to make people more comfortable.
