My lady and I visit Atlantic City at least 4-5 weekends a year. We are fortunate to get room comps at Tropicana just about every time that we go. On our last trip down, we were told that the comp rooms were sold out for the Saturday night stay. Since we were not comfortable dropping $300 or more on a Saturday night that was not during the summer or holiday weekend, we decided to try the Days Inn as it was right next to the Tropicana and the room was about 70% cheaper on that Saturday night. I've stayed in Days Inn's in the past, so my expectations were pretty clear about it. The room had a slighly dated appearance, but it was clean and perfectly acceptable for a place to put your head down at night. The elevator was painfully slow, but this is to be expected from an older property. I like that they offered free valet parking as well as free Wi-Fi. My iPad2 connected normally and the signal strength was even better than the free Wi-fi in the Havana Tower at Tropicana. I didn't notice a free continental breakfast offered at this hotel( as was advertised on a popular online travel site), but they do have a restaurant called the "Country Kitchen". We had breakfast there and the food was good and not expensive. Overall, I would consider staying here again if we ever strike out again on comp rooms.

Of the two Days Inns in Atlantic City, this one's conveniently close to Tropicana.

Our double room was a good size. It was tacky - even for a Days Inn: seashells in the bathroom were an amusing touch, and the vintage Zenith CRT was gold. Not totally unusual for AC.

Service was fine. When our toilet got stuck, room service got us a plunger straightaway.

Parking is valet only. (Not a fan.)

Book in advance to secure a good room rate!

We got lucky here!  Four of us just needed a one night stopover spot in Atlantic City, and we wanted to stay somewhere 'near' the fun so we could walk everywhere.

We first pulled into famous gambling resort Tropicana (conveniently next door to the Days Inn).  Not wanting to spend nearly $400 for two non-beach-view rooms, we trundled next door to the Days Inn, skeptically.

For $70 per room, we got two HUGE ocean view rooms, along with free wifi (Tropicana doesn't even offer that, fyi) and a cute waterfront restaurant downstairs.  The beds were fine, the rooms were spacious, and everything was clean.  I can't give it a five because it wasn't exactly a classy place, but then, is anywhere in Atlantic City really?

this hotel was an unexpectedly great find for a good price. it is conveniently located next to the tropicana and directly on the boardwalk. Everything was in walking distance. Our room was a decent size and very clean. We booked the room through http://expedia.com which made our check in a breeze. They also offer free valet parking for guests. There is a restaurant in the hotel as well. We will definitely be returning.

Do not stay here!!! I have never had such a terrible experience at a hotel!  Aside from the uncleanliness of the rooms, and lack of respect from management and night staff, the hotel is completely unsafe!  The room my friends and I stayed in was broken into when we were gone and we had several valuables stolen.  We had to call the police on our own, as the hotel staff did not offer to call the officials, assign us another room, or refund our hotel stay.  There are no cameras anywhere inside or outside the hotel, and no management available or people at the desk during the night.

I was most astounded with the unprofessional, disrespectful manner in which I was treated.  There was no attempt by the management or staff to remedy the situation or check the safety of the room after the event.  The whole situation was dismissed by the staff, which leads me to believe this may have happened before...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY OR YOUR BELONGINGS! If it were possible to award a zero on the star scale I would.

6 friends and I stayed at this hotel for one night.  We booked 2 double bed rooms and at $300 dollars per room, this place is a hole.  We left our room for approximately two hours and in that small window of time our room was ransacked and we were robbed of cash, jewelry, and electronics!!  We immediately called the front desk only to find out that there is no manager on duty from 10 pm until 7:30 am!  This hotel also has no security!!  No cameras... no room safes!! After the police came and went, we attempted to get a refund because we did not feel safe to stay in the room, and management refused!!  When we spoke with the manager on the phone, he referred to my friend as a "little girl" and hung up on her.  We were forced to wait 4 hours for the manager to get in (at 7:30 am) to have a face to face discussion concerning the robbery.  When he finally came into work, he made no attempts to remedy the situation and he refused to refund our money for the room.

At no point in time did the hotel staff come up to the room to see the chaos or offer any type of apology.  We filed an official complaint with DAYS INN corporate regarding the robbery, and the overall disrespect/gender discrimination we suffered... we now have to wait 3 days for a reply.

This is an unacceptable hotel.  Do not stay here unless you are willing to be treated with disrespect and disregard.  Again, if you value your personal safety or your belongings, DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!
