An aptly named club because you will spend the day after trying to piece together what happened the night before.

Like did I really make out with that investment banking admin and was she good looking? Or why do I have a $400 charge on my Amex? What are these random numbers in my phone?

I spent night 3 of my 25th birthday celebration extravaganza here and I really don't remember much. All I can tell people is that the dance floor gets pretty crazy after about 11 PM.

My friends and I got bottle service and I felt it was totally worth it here (I really don't like getting bottle service at most places). Our hostess gave us the best table in the place and made sure the drinks were flowing.

Typically L.A. crowd - lots of beautiful people pretending they are important and spending all their energy convincing themselves of that. However, there are a few hidden gems that can knock your socks off and show you a good time.

I had a horrible night here.  This was on my birthday a few years ago when the place was a "hot spot".  A promoter was supposed to get my whole party in without issue but of course, things fell apart.  So, in order for us to pass the rope we were duped into buying 2 bottles.  A group of girls who arrived before us that were part of our group got in quick.  Others were just left standing and waiting...not good.

There was just nothing about this place that impressed me.  The doormen were pretentious and rude.  To top of off, they had a weak ass stage show of people dancing and lip syncing to TLC.  Boogee!

I've only gone here on Halloweens, so I can't vouch for regular club nights.

First time we came here was Halloween '05.  Had a great time with 2 different rooms.  The main room was a hip-hop / pop room for dancing.  It wasn't TOO crowded and I was impressed with the costumes there that night.  The smaller, second room was more of rock / alternative jams.  I liked that room better.  The crowd there had one of a kind costumes.

But this year when we went they got rid of the smaller room and hired some fake@ss fortune tellers that gave these generic fortunes.  "Your heart has been broken, but you are hopeful of new love"  Give me a freaking break.  I could have told her that.  bleh.  Anyhoo, it was disappointing since the costumes weren't too great.  At one point they tried to herd the crowd over to another side of the outside patio for no reason.  Not so fun.

hmm....so my experiences here haven't up to par.  I came for a 80's party thrown by Boogie...an LA promoter.

The crowd was creative, upbeat, and very diverse...but too diverse.

The am not too excited about the floor plan, and you have to walk through the patio to get into the club which is another unfortunate thing about this eve.

So all together I give it 3 stars because of floor plan, decor, and my personal evening.  I hear it has hip hop nights on Saturdays...with a ridiculous amount of people trying to get in.  Who is over all that sit outside and wait to get into a club just to dance your ass off???   I AM!!!

The end!

ps- thanks for letting me gripe.

pss-glad to be back to my LA Yelpies...let's do Chalet soon!

I arrived there fairly early (10ish) and was faced with a line, despite paying for vip entry.  It moved quickly for us, but I couldn't say the same for my friends who arrived over an hour later.

The inside was bumping with a great mixed crowd.  Drinks were expensive, but the bartenders were generous with their pours.  I'm starting to outgrow the clubbing scene, but I'd come back here again.

For those who drive here, there's plenty of parking in the back lot.

Small line but they still don't let people in.
I kne the bouncer from another event and dropped my friend Caroline's name and we were in.
But not happy, nice decor with cool white vibe, great DJ with great energy, but people weren't dancing.
There's loads of places to sit and chill here, but it's supposed to be a dance club people.
We left and headed over to the Highlands for a party we knew would be going til 3am.

This place is okay. Many of my friends have been there before and kind of hyped it up. I guess I was expecting more, considering its good reviews. Apparently it was pretty nice last year, because when I went this year, it wasn't exactly impressive.

I gave it three stars because they tried (nice interior), and also because the bouncers in the front were nice enough to waive our $20 cover charges, even after MIDNIGHT. Kudos to that.

P.S. I just read someone else's review on how crappy the club is, based on its bacon wrapped hot dog stands outside. Hmm...I wouldn't ideally judge the club based on that...Ironically, the bacon wrapped hot dogs are one of the main reasons why I LIKE Hollywood...they are *so* good as drunken munchies...

We had a table, the bartender came out to greet us, and we had a great time chilling at our table and the rest dancing on the floor.

Best to get their early and park in the Kodak Theater area parking structure. Can't beat $2 for parking.

Everything you'd expect a crappy club to be. Can this place even really be considered a club?

Why two stars you ask? They sell the bacon wrapped hot dogs next to the exit. Niiiiiiiiice! Those are def worth more than one star, that's for sure!

This place has everything you want in a bad club:

Hard to find?  Check.

Bitchy hostess that didn't let the 4 black guys ahead of me in?  Check.

Ho hum decor?  Check.

DJ that stops playing music?  Check.

The one saving grace is the drinks are strong, though they're expensive.  Once you get here, the only thing you have to look forward to is the day after.

Michael Clarke Duncan works the door and if you approach him with a sensible question he WILL laugh in your face and tell you to "slow down there, big guy" - even if you are a petite Asian girl.

The bartender was rude, incoherent and obnoxious, Drinks weak and small.

Why the 5 stars?

When your friend gets a Cougar sandwich and the other falls flat on his ass and spills his drinks on the girls and still gets their no. you know you're in good company.

And when a "urgh" LA weekend turns into a "Best LA weekend EVER" you gotta give props to the venue where it happened.

Just BEWARE of  Cougars in disco lighting.

Grrrrr

I can't say this place offers much for me.  I don't like the layout, the staff, or the sound system.  If this place existed in a Land of Less Options then perhaps.  But this is Hollywood and you have to try a lot harder to impress me.

There were two occasions seeing MIxmaster Mike and David Morales which made this place worth the trip but it'll take that sort of talent to get me here --

Ok this place is huge. Huge dance floor and huge outdoor patio. Yay, breathing (and hiding) room for us girls. My first night here - kind of strange. First, they mixed up my BF's credit card with another person. But the bartender promptly took care of that and omitted all charges, which of course made my BF happy considering he bought a round of drinks. The other person, not so happy from what I heard. Second, some big fat dudes tried to swoop our table and even the bouncer of the VIP section vouched for them. So security/bouncer there, shady. But we found the manager and he quickly took care of the situation. So I suppose service is efficient. Oh but the DJ, what! Even my drunk butt was thinking, what the heck are you playing?! Other than that, it was OK...strange but OK...

Chic decor, strong drinks, a complaisant DJ and good-natured security makes this club a 5-star experience.

I haven't been to many clubs since I moved to LA and this was my first Hollywood club.  We arrived around 10:45pm. There was a short line (about 10 people) when we arrived, but one of the girls had connections and we got in immediately.  It was not crowded and there were about 15 people on the dance floor - which promptly changed to 25 once our group started dancing.  The music flowed smoothly between hip-hop, eighties tunes, and pop.  Sometimes only snippets of songs were played and then the DJ moved on to something new.  At one point my friends did the bump and grind with one of the security guards. He seemed to enjoy it and I think he even blushed at one point- probably when the fake dildo was being passed around.  He quickly got down to business, though, when he spotted a spilled drink on the dance floor.  Towels appeared from nowhere and it was wiped up lickety split.   I had one drink - Grey Goose and Tonic  - it was strong and cost $12. The bartender was perfectly nice.

The main area of the club is a large open room. The dance floor is in the middle, with the VIP area on one side, and a stage (or 2nd VIP area) to right and the DJ booth opposite.  The other side has open seating and the bar.   Between the main area and the outdoor patio is a room with tables and chairs - this is (probably where they serve food (although I never saw anyone eating).  The restrooms were on the small side. There's one private restroom and then a second room with 4 stalls.  Nothing terribly special but it was clean. Later in the evening there was always a line.

The crowd consisted of stickthins in skimpy clothes, well-cologned asian guys, tall wanna-be actor types and a few average people just there to have fun.  Pretty typical LA crowd, I would say.

Well - would have gotten 3 stars but the decor and generosity from the bartenders really make up for that! Not to mention the entertaining yet drunken evening I had! LOL! The drinks are mixed pretty well and tip the bartenders well and they WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU! LOL! Decor is really hollywood-ish as compared to other hollywood locations! Nice and grown and sexy-like! Love the white color scheme BUT the dance floor could be a little bigger - but then again this is probaby more like a lounge/bar/club. You know what I'm talking about! I'm into the decor and the music/dance floor! And this place is okay - the DJ was so-so but the crowd was mixed so it kind of even'd itself out! After downing a few grey goose and club soda off to venture this "Day After" out! There's a nice VIP lounge area in a slightly raised are near the dance floor which you could slyly sneak yourself into by talking friendly to the Security guys! LOL! Seating is really accomadating at this place! Plenty of seating in the "normal" area as well! The VIP parking is a WIDE OPEN parking lot where you can easily obtain street vendor bacon wrapped hot dogs after your drunken fiasco with the friends! And entertain yourself like I did with the overly drunken pretty girls tossed and forgetting that they are wearing short skirts sprawled on the floor or if you're lucky "no undy hunnies" sitting drunkedly smiling at you while forgetting that they have no undies! LOL! Anyhow you coud have a great time here..maybe it was too many drinks! Oh well - kudos Day After! Til we meet again!

I went here on a Thurs. night The decor is not as awe inspiring as I had been told. It's nice and clean, but nothing out of the ordinary.  The layout is pretty simple. The line was long but moved at a decent pace. The drinks are strong and typical in LA price. The music started out old school and became more hip-hop as the night progressed. The crowd was okay, too many girls for me.  The dance floor is med. in size. The VIP area is pretty open, right next to the dance floor and there is a small stage for the hoochie girls to dance on.  The self parking is convenient but not cheap $15-20 can't remember, but it's adjacent to the club so you don't have to wait in long valet lines to get your car. There is a Burger next door if you are hungry afterward. Not bad but I would only go back if something special was going on there.
