The driver was VERY nice and respectful, as well as the dispatchers. HOWEVER, what they all  failed to tell us is that there is a $7.50 charge when paying by credit card. WTH is that???? We used the car service to transport us to and from Manhattan round trip. We were quoted a particular price but, we were charged another price. The charge on the receipt states one price yet, the credit card statement states another price. And yes, those fees count, too!! That's false advertisement! It's a disgrace!!! We should have been given the OPTION of paying by cash or credit card. What pisses me off, more than anything, is that we had the cash on hand but we were never given the option. I will NEVER use this service again. I don't like being lied to or cheated. Nobody does. No worries, though. I will NEVER use or recommend this company EVER!

Terrible service. They were supposed to pick me up at 6:00 am for a trip to JFK. When they didn't come by 6:10 I called. I was told the driver was on his way. When he didn't come by 6:20 I called again.  I was told he was on his way. He came at 6:25 and that put me in the middle of rush hour and made me a nervous wreck to get to the airport on time. The driver said he didn't even come into the office until 6:10 and then he had to get air in the tires. He wasn't told it was a airport run nor was he told the pickup was supposed to be at 6:00.

I called the day before to confirm. There is no excuse for such treatment except to say it is a poorly run business without concern for the customer. I will never use them again.

WORST car service EVER!! The owner is EXTREMELY NASTY and rude.  Was told one price by two different people when inquired one week in advance.  On day of trip the price was increased by $10.00.  The owner then gets on the phone and very abruptly stated "well you were told wrong!  I own this place and you gotta pay $10.00 more!"  As I was trying to request that she honor the price as a courtesy I heard silence and called back thinking we got disconnected.  She picked up the phone and stated she wanted to make it clear that we did not get disconnected that she hung up on me and repeated that if I wanted a cab then I was going to pay $10.00 more and hung up the phone again!  I would walk before I ever give Dawson another dime of my money.  The disrespect of the owner is Outrageous!

DO NOT PATRONIZE THEM!  They are not worthy of any stars but I did not want my rating to be viewed as "unrated"

Ok, rant time.....Someone I know called Dawson Taxi in Baldwin this morning at 4:30 am Needed to be in Bellmore by 5. Taxi got to man in Baldwin at 4:50, why??? becuase he had another person to pick up and drop off at the Baldwin train station. Well she wasn't ready till 4:45. She felt bad and told the driver no worries, Ill catch the Bellmore train. Driver called the lady at Dawson Taxi and told her what was going on... Her answer over the mic with both passenger in the cab was. I don't give a shit you take the lady to Baldwin train and he will get to Bellmore when you get him there. NOone will F@@ken tell me how to run my business. I think it is time Baldwin gets another cab company.. What do you think????

Seriously RUDE u don't just hang up on customers. Terrible dispatcher. Extremely rude woman,. Thank god the cab wasn't for me, I would NEVER use this taxi service, I would rather walk.

Awful taxi service...ALWAYS late and the cars are trash. You have to share a cab with other customers but they charge you the same amount. It's such a rip off. They dispatch is rude and unprofessional. Don't use them. Cash only. I honestly would rather walk in the snow than rely on this company.

The driver was rude, car stunk and dirty.  It was  awful... There was another paying costumer in the car which made it tight..  I was charged  a fee for using my credit card!  I wasn't informed by the dispatch of the credit card fee or of the other customer in the car.  Never again!

If I could give 0 stars I would. They are a terrible taxi service with the worst customer service I have seen in a long time. If there was another taxi service in the area that had moderately decent customer service, they would wipe the floors with Dawson taxi.

They are the worst car service ever. They said they would meet my flight at LaGuardia for an extra $10. I said that was fine. However, they didn't show up. I called the office several times until finally they picked up. They made up some story about "traffic", which is one of their standby lies. THEY LIE! you can't count on them. I waited 45 minutes and I finally took a NYC taxi home to Long Island. I will never use this low life company again.

Don't use Dawson. On the way to the airport, they threatened to leave me on the side of the road! Can you imagine?! I requested a taxi with the capacity to take credit, and called once more to confirm. They arrived a half hour late. On the road to the airport, panicking that i would miss my plane, I asked to confirm that I could use  credit, and was told "No," because he didn't have the credit card machine. Not wanting to use cash, I called the office to see what they would do for me. They said I needed to pay cash, or stop at an ATM if I had none (remember-it was already a half hour late pick up to the airport). The dispatcher was instructed to leave me on the side of the road if I didn't pay cash immediately. We paid. But, will never use them again. Your choice, but beware.

This company is awful. We tried nearly a dozen times to use their service. They never show up on time if even at all. We live in baldwin and travel frequently via kennedy
airport. I missed flights on two occasions thanks to Dawson not coming on time.
It doesn't matter that their cabs are in terrible condition since they probably won't show up anyway.

One of the worst taxi services ever.  Try getting them to answer the phone and not holding for 5min i dare you.  Drivers are good, but dispatch is awful.

I had to call for them on a Sunday morning and the man on the phone told me 20 minutes or less...25 minutes later they still weren't here. So I called back and some lady answered and I told her this and she had an attitude with me on the phone saying that she told me that they were short on drivers and that they were behind and wont be there for another 15 minutes! So before she hung up on me I managed to tell her that I was going to be late to work. Since they knew they were running behind, why not just tell me that to begin with instead of WASTING MY TIME and making me late to work?!?!?!? I will never use them again! Horrible customer service!!!!

Rude dispatch, extra charge for CC, which I think is illegal, and a driver that showed up 30 mins late for an airport pick up.... My first experience was for a pick up from the Airport, price quoted was $35, on the way back to the airport I was quoted $40' when I asked why I was told you get a discount if you call the day befor? Ok, on the next trip I called the day before but was told you need to put a deposit on CC if we were to pick you up from an Airport...  In short I am taking my business some where else...
