Hello all yelp readers,

This place is the best in town, they have the best gifts and also flowers....I have to say  that i went in the other day to get a wedding gift and i heard about this yelp review.....

Firstly, as i always say, there is two sides to the story....I asked for Liz T information and they didnt give it out since they value all clients information....thats a kind of place i LOve....

Liz if you knew the florist, you would know that the owner is 47 and they couldnt have been in business for 43 years.......I have got over a dozen of crosages and bouts from davinos over the 14 YEARS THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS IN LOS ALOTS....I didnt see any problems with them....

Florist come into town and leave, Davino's is always there.........

I was at a wedding at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco which Davino did recently, the wedding was mentioned on the SF Chronicle because it was just out of this world in the creativity that Davino did, from the start to the end.....

If you are looking for you daily flowers, WEDDINGS, parties or just anything that deals with flowers.....CALL DAVINOS, i highly recomend it ....

And to LIZ, go away you sour nasty lady....people like you make us have wars.....hahaha

This place is fantastic. Davinos did my wedding years ago through thier first store in Burlingame. I have been loyal customer ever since
and I love the newer location in Los Altos. The review by Liz T is quite annoying, as I am freindly with the saleswomenand that is not at all how she said you behaved. Rather than get into the specifics, anyone questioning Davinos creativity should go to Davinosflorist.com and see for themselves. I doubt very much that a Florist who's  work ends up on a MTV lacks creativity. ..........Perhaps Davino's is glad you made the switch?

Terrible.
I was a customer for years and spent quite a lot there because it's an expensive florist.  They did fine (not overly creative) work. Once I did have to return an order because half the roses in my order of a dozen roses were completely wilted.
This week I went to order a corsage for my son's prom date. I could tell the owner was less than thrilled with the order (a lowly corsage?)  I ordered a white orchid wristlet. Very simple. Something in the manner in which the order was taken made me order a back-up wristlet at Alabaster's (the new Los Altos florist).
I picked up the Davino wristlet. It was hideous.  Politely, I said I was a little disappointed...the proprietor flew at me angrily, "Are you saying that it is ugly?"  Again, politely I replied that I had not said it was ugly (although it really was), but that I was disappointed.  He exploded on a huge hissy rant.  "We've been in business 43 years and I could sell this tomorrow,"  he yelled, "Maybe you should take your business elsewhere."  I was shocked.  Never have I been treated this manner and I have been a polite and faithful customer for 10 years.
I picked up the wristlet at Alabaster (where half of Los Altos waited for their corsages and Mother's Day orders...I guess they knew where to go). It was lovely.  I even bought a bouquet.  Alabaster's flowers were gorgeous, the service was friendly and it was a great experience.
Long story short...skip Davino's...who needs that kind of rude attitude? The work isn't worth it.  It's more of a store for overpriced knickknacks. If you want flowers, go to Alabaster's.

My mom bought me a beautiful bouquet of tulips and other lovely flowers from this place for my birthday. The presentation is simple and classy! (see the posted picture)

Not sure if this is in time for you, but this florist right downtown is great. They have a variety of fresh stuff, and some very vibrant summer colors year round (like sunflowers, tiger lilies, etc).

I came here to get flowers for Valentines Day, and they charged me $50 for 12 gerber daisies. Now, I'm not an expert on flowers, but $50 is a ton of money for gerber daisies. This place had good reviews, so I thought I might be getting my money's worth.

The first thing I noticed was that the stems were wrapped in green wire. I thought this was just so you can position the stems to make a better arrangement, but I found out the real reason 3 days later. The stems were drying out, and by the 4th day, they had wilted to the point that the petals were falling off!
