11 reviews for DaVinci's PIzza
I have to say I might have been a bit skeptical coming here since all the yelp reviews are fantastic. I walked into this place for lunch and was greeted by one of the workers. We ordered a Large Pizza with Pepperoni and Mushrooms. It was delicious. We also ordered 2 greek salads. They were simple but really great. I posted 2 pictures of our meal. I would give this place 4 and 1/2 stars. It was really good.
We enjoyed a large pizza, 2 greek salads, and 2 canned cokes for $22. That is NYC prices on pizza which was very refreshing. I am a fan of Dazzo's as well but with prices like DaVinci's has, it is hard to beat. They are opening another location on Sutherland Avenue right across from West High School sometime next week. I will definitely return. The pizza was really tasty and made for great leftovers, the salads were simple but fabulous, and I loved that they had canned cokes. I prefer cokes in cans or in glass bottles, not plastic bottles. You should definitely check this place out because you get the bang for your buck and its good. Atmosphere might have been lacking a bit but when the food is good it doesn't matter to me. Hope you enjoy your pizza too!
Cheers and Enjoy!
My favorite thing about this place are the guys who run it. Ever eaten in there? They're always chatting it up with some customer or delivery guy and I swear they always include you in the conversation! It makes me feel like buds with these NJ guys!
The pizza is delicious. It's nothing fancy, nothing unexpected, but it's all good. The sauce is wonderful. I've loved everything I've gotten. No complaining whatsoever. Ready to try out something other than pizza, but I can't get away from the pizza!
p.s. They never laughed when we asked them to walk around the block (as opposed to our lazy asses simply walking around the block) to drop it off at Sterchi!
I love these guys.
Tried DaVinci's today for the first time. Like many Yelp users, I agree that it's one of the better pizza places in Knoxville. I really wanted to be able to give it five stars, but in my book, nobody has been able to dethrone Mangia (in Turkey Creek) for bragging rights of best thin-crust pizza.
I will say that the place is a very authentic-looking Jersey-style pizza shop. It smells like pizza the minute you walk through the door. The maps and posters from New Jersey are a nice touch and they big chalkboard advertises "hoagies." Good stuff. I've got to go back to try a stromboli. If you're a Philly guy like me, you involuntarily start looking around for a cooler full of Yuengling to go with your pizza. No dice. Water and soda only.
The Sunday and Monday night special is a large cheese pizza for $6. Two of us ate a large Hawaiian (8 good-sized slices) with two bottled drinks for $12 out the door and two slices leftover for lunch tomorrow. That's some cheap eats. Dinner was on the table in less than 10 minutes and it was hot and delicious.
Given that they deliver to UT's campus and the surrounding areas, I have a feeling I'll definitely be patronizing DaVinci's again in the near future.
This place rocks. The pizza is excellent , the staff is hilarious. I've been there several times for a slice or to pick up a pizza to go and I've never been disappointed.
My wife and I stopped ordering from Papa John's, Pizza Hut, and Dominos when we found this place.
The crust was very good, but the sauce wasn't really NY authentic. Toppings are pretty good for the most part, but the prices make this place very good as opposed to a place like Mangia out in Turkey Creek.
Fantastic pizza. We had the cheese and it was one of the most flavorful (w/ spices & herbs) cheese pizza I've ever had. I/we devoured it. I was with two people who are/were Knoxville locals and foodies to boot and both informed me it's the best pizza in Knox. End of story.
Stopped by for a calzone after reading Yelp reviews and was not disappointed-- it was excellent! Plus the people are friendly and my food was ready to go in 10 minutes. Love it.
This is my favorite pizza in Knoxville. It is cheap and delicious. It is greasy, piled high with cheese, and amazing. My mouth is watering. Fortunately, I work about 4 doors down so I can just walk over there whenever I crave it. They have ice cream, too.
Pizza is 2.50 a slice.
This is the closest your gonna get to good New York pizza. They don't skimp on the toppings, Oh... and the sauce, It's that good! You gotta try the Boli's... I can't say enough. Two thumbs and half a pinky...UP!
I always do take out, here......the atmosphere isn't anything to bark about. The pizza, though is jersey-style thin crust and I love thin crust.
i don't get down to the old city much these days. good thing these guys deliver now. let's try a pie and maybe some lasagne while we're at it. 25 minutes later, yee friggin' haw! i thin crust masterpiece and lasagne the size of my head. both were dead on! not to mention, delivered with a smile. enjoy my low brow buddies. it's fat guy good!
