This place was quite good.  We got a large (there were only two of us) and had well over half the pizza left over.  Not because it was bad, but because we were stuffed!!  We got the DaVinci Special and added Roma Tomatoes - it was absolutely amazing!

I can promis you this, you have NEVER had a crust like they have - reminded me of a corn meal type crust, but it was quite good.

I'm a huge pizza fan, and this place is in my top favorites - get in there!!

DaVinci's was so good we had rated it best in Nashville on our first visit.  We were craving it again so we went for dinner tonight and I don't know when I've been so disappointed.

There was only one other table occupied when we got there and later one more table outside and not many to go orders going out the window.  The service seemed a little slow based on the lack of business.  I overheard the first table comment they never got their appetizers and the waitress' response "I think you'll be fine".  Whether or not they had enough foo was not the point, the point was they didn't get what they ordered and that is never a good thing.  She didn't offer to bring them.  They had a lot of pizzas - probably 4 or 5 and it seemed each one came out separate with some pretty big lapses in between them.  Something was amiss in the kitchen tonight.

Based on the pizza we had tonight, I wouldn't even go back but because we had such good pizza once, we'll probably give it another try at some point.  This really had nothing to do with the sauce, toppings and cheese - they were all what we remembered and fine.  It was the crust.  It was horrible.  It had no chew to it what so ever.  It was much too cake-like with a raw and cornmeal texture.  Didn't feel or taste like it had yeast.  This was not what we remembered.  We barely ate half the pie and we ordered a large since we ate all of the medium last time.  By the end of my meal, I was picking the toppings and cheese off the crust.

Ah Davinci's... I give it 4 stars because of a couple of factors. They make a quality pizza and they include soy cheese options as well as some fancier toppings like artichoke hearts, scallops, and smoked oysters. That's really not my thing so I won't rant and rave here about it.

I am a pizza simpleton and feel like I reach pizza Nirvana with the basics done well. DaVincis doesn't rock my world in that way, it's more of a fancy friend, I enjoy every once in a while. I think their crust is kind of weird but it's good .

They are located in an old Victorian with different rooms, so I like the vibe inside. Go for a visit if you are a fancy schmancy pizza eater.   It's pricier than your normal pizza, salad, and beer establishment so break out the plastic.

Da Vinci's catered to vegans way before it was trendy to do so. I remember my vegan friends driving down to Da Vinci's from Brentwood to pick up some soy cheese pizzas. It's good to know that someone in Nashville will do that.

I go more for the real cheese though. The crust of their pizza is really interesting. It's a cornmeal crust, so it's kind of like eating pizza on cornbread, which is weird, but good.

They have great toppings. I love the shrimp and scallop pizza. The old house that Da Vinci's is in is a lovely setting, although it's across the street from a couple of strip clubs, but Mambu is next door too.

I've only been here in large groups--birthdays, girls' nights, etc.  And service is wonderful!  The pizza is pretty good too, although the last time I had it, it was a little too "bready" for my liking.  But, I still ate the entire thing so I guess it wasn't all that bad!

They offer a huge variety of fresh toppings--my usual mushroom and black olive is always a delight--as well as a wheat crust instead of their regular.  Also, you can get soy cheeses if you prefer!  I have a lot of vegetarian friends who adore Da Vinci's, but there are a lot of tasty meats on the menu too.

Pizza and Yazoo beer in a cozy setting?  Can't go wrong!  I take away one star only because parking can often be a bear.

I'll say that Nashville has lots of good pizza places, and it seems like I've been to a lot of them. This seems especially apparent since I'm trying to write reviews of most of them. Who doesn't like pizza? Ok, I'm sure some people don't. My vegan friend tells me about the evils of cheese all the time. I don't buy it.

DaVinci's is down the street from Mambu in Midtown which I think is a very convenient spot. Like Mambu, it's a cozy little house redone as a restaurant. There's seating on both sides of the house. I think there are tables to the left and booths on the right which can be good for groups.

This place does have the gourmet, higher end pizzas. I don't think I'll order the shrimp and scallops pizza anytime soon, but I'm sure it's excellent. I do enjoy the Bella Vita with spinach, tomato, onion, feta...all things I love. You can also start with a great Greek Salad. And you can sub soy cheese if you need that stuff! All their topping are delicious and you can always build your own pizza if their signature pizzas aren't to your liking. There are sun-dried tomatoes, fontina cheese, feta, spinach, chicken, oysters, carrots to name a few toppings.

If you're looking for a delicious pizza experience, check out DaVinci's. After dinner you'll be a quick hop from downtown, the bars on Church, or the Village.

DaVinci's has my favorite pizza in town. That's not to say this style of pizza is for everyone though. The crust is fairly thick and has a lot of cornmeal in it. I don't think I've ever had a crust exactly like this anywhere else. I usually make a wheat based crust at home, so we get pizza from here when we're in the mood for something different.

I love the toppings combos they offer. We usually split the pizza 50/50 and end up with half BBQ chicken & half potato, makes a strange but great combo. I honestly haven't ever had a bad flavor combo here though, they've got a solid line up of pizza toppings.

I've done both take away & eat in here. Eating in is great because it has a nice old house vibe and, now that the endless construction across the street is done, one of the best patios in town. They're also really reliable for take away - you get what you ordered and you can depend on it being cooked properly every time. The staff are great as well, whether you're eating in or taking away.

I also think the prices are totally reasonable for the types of pizzas they serve here. This isn't Pizza Hut quality, it's a ton better and yes, you do pay more for it. They do run specials sometimes that can really cut the cost - right now 50% off your entire bill on Fridays from 4-6 pm, dine in only.

I debated between 4 and 5 stars and decided to go with 5 because I've been coming here for 5 years and still remain a satisfied customer.

    Good pizza but better lasagna.

The rialto lasagna is perfect.  It comes with pepperoni and lots of other ingredients which is something a lot of places should try.  There are lots of different pizza options, too.  My favorite is the Hawaiian, because they use full pineapple slices.

great pizza joint.  tonight was my second visit this year, and i've yet to be disappointed.  pizza is fantastic, and there's a good beer selection as well.

the service tonight was second to none ... i think the owner single-handedly serviced our impromptu group of 20+ tonight.  props.

    highly recommended.

Vegans should know that the soy cheese they use isn't actually vegan.  It's Soya Kaas, which has casein (milk protein) in it.  Bummer, eh?

Still, I love a cheeseless pizza, and places like this with lots of toppings are always a good bet!

This is some of the best pizza I've had.  The atmosphere and service, however, leave something to be desired.  I came here while traveling on business, so I was dining solo.  The hostess and waiter both greeted me, which was a nice touch, and then proceeded to seat me at a two top jammed in next to a group of four, under -- and I mean literally under -- a television set.  There's no bar, that I saw, which is a major bummer for Lonely Guy diners.

The dining area was fairly empty, so I moved myself to a table in viewing range of the TVs, and with a little more elbow room, and then cooled my heels for about 5 minutes before the same waiter returned to take my drink order.  Service didn't improve much from there.  The meal took probably twice as long as it should have.

Kudos for having decent selection of wines and wines by the glass.  Wide menu.  And the pizza is really, really phenomenal.  Corn-meal type crust, piles of fresh toppings... yummy.

So, order carry out and take the best part of Da Vinci's away with you.

Ok, so everyone knows that DaVinci's makes some great pizza, however, the more I mull it over the more I feel the need to mention that the place is really overpriced. Yes they make pretty good lasagna, decent salads, and the Bella Vita and BBQ Chicken Pizza's are fantastic, but seriously who came up with their prices. I'm always drawn to Da Vinci's because of its hometown pizzeria vibe, but every time I get the receipt I kick myself for having ordered.

This place is pretty good - love the old house vibe.  The pizza crust is too biscuit-y, and the pizza sauce is ok.  The toppings are usually sparse, so I'm not a big fan of their pizza.  Their pasta is ok, and the sangria is ok.  I do appreciate that they offer soy cheese....it's not vegan though, I believe it has casein in it.  But at least it's close.  The service is usually pretty good too.  Not really good, not really bad.  I agree that it's a bit overpriced.

DaVinci's is a great local pizza joint that is sometimes overlooked cause its off the beaten path. It's in a cute renovated victorian house about a block off west end. The atmosphere has a lot of character as well as the pizza. Their crust is crispy and amazing while their toppings are always fresh and delicious.  Even though their pizzas are considered gourmet, they have the normal as well as the more inventive pies, including pizza with soy cheese and a load of vegetarian toppings.  It might not be the cheapest place to get pizza on the west side, but it is definitely one of the best.

Great local pizza place that caters really well to vegans, which was part of our selecting criteria. The pizza was pretty good, but definitely not the best I've had. It was a similar experience to Brixx pizza and I would go again.

a terrific gourmet pizzeria with several good options for vegetarians. come here with a date and order the Bella Vita pizza (spinach, tomato, onion, garlic, feta and provolone) or the Mona Lisa (roasted red peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, onions, provolone and fontina cheeses). you wont be sorry.

Maybe I'm hopelessly east coast, but we were not impressed.  The crust was a little strange-- like a cracker but not in a good way.  Some people like it, I guess, but we really didn't.
