I bought my dress knowing that I was going to get a knock off, so there were no disappointments.  I was treated very nicely and didn't have to wait for anyone to help me.  The dress came within a month without any problems.  Suggested by the sales girl, I didn't get it altered there.

As far as SZU "fat girl...EEWW" hater comment is concerned, everyone has a right to a dress, big or small.  I pitty the fool marrying her.

Please Note: I am lost and dumb when it comes to shit like feelings and emotions and marriage and blah. I'm totally backing out of this deal. haha.

Moving on.........

Judging by the reviews already written, I guess my gauge on Bridal service is way off because I thought the people were really attentive and nice.

I came here today totally nervous and absolutely CLUELESS as to what to do and where to go and how to look for whatever it was that I needed to look for.

Veronica: What style do you want?
Yuki: I don't know.
Veronica: What sort of dress were you thinking of getting?
Yuki: Isn't that the same question as before? I don't know.
Veronica: Do you know what it is that you want?
Yuki: These questions are getting more and more vague. I've never been married before so I have no idea how to answer you. I'm sorry.

She calls over a more suitable woman to help me. Her name was Debra and she was the most accommodating person I've met in a while. Super patient and very good with her tone in dealing with a confused and nervous customer.

Tall, thin, African American, very low voice, very kind face. I felt more comfortable speaking with her than with Veronica who gave me very judgmental looks when I told her I was nervous and then told her that I wanted to wear a suit to my wedding.

Debra: Hi. Let's go in the back and take a look at a few things and see what you may like.
Yuki: ............................uh.........ok......... ......... *sweating*
Debra: Let's start with shoes. Do any of these look good to you?
Yuki: Uh...yeah sure.
Debra: Well, is there a pair that you would like to try on?
Yuki: .....................Uh...................this one? *sweat dripping from my hands*

Same with the dresses.

Dress 1: Uh.......yeah. It looks fine. *twitch*
Dress 2: Uh.....this one is nice too. *cracking knuckles*
Dress 3: *cough*....*cracking knuckles*.........yeah this is good.
Dress 4: Uhm........sure. It fits fine. *fidget*
Dress 5: *yawn* Sure. I guess. *twitch*

I picked 2 out of from the catalogue and Debra got 5 dresses for me in accordance to what I wanted - Simple. I was nervous, but that shouldn't take away from her level of attention and customer service.

She was super patient with me and gave me a detailed tutorial on terminology and what was what and what I should take into consideration.

5 dresses, 4 veils, and 1 pair of shoes later, I was registered and will return at some point to update my file and continue with the tailoring and what not.

Since I have no friggin' clue as to what wedding dresses cost and what they're supposed to be made out of, I can't say that these dresses are over priced. *shrug* I am not a fan of fake materials though so I didn't pick any polyester or whatever dresses. I think satin and lace and some other crap that I can't pronounce was on my dress. Very minimal beading with a simple design - T9397

If anyone reads this review and has some info to give me as to where a "real" bridal shop/boutique would be, I'd appreciate it. I wear sneakers and shorts all day long and don't even have my ears pierced so this is sooooo out of my league it's not even funny.

Wanna see dumb and lost? Watch me walk into a bridal shop. Ya.

Have you been there? then you know you'd not recommend this place to your friends or family.
I don't want to waste my time write about this place, but I won't stand for another confused soon-to-be bride tempting into checking this place out.

Simply 1) very limited selection of bridal gowns, 2) mediocre service, 3) undesirable gowns (ok, i'll just say ugly)

Usually I base largely on quality of services, but gowns here are down right ugly.
I know the gowns here are cheap, but there are many other inexpensive bridal shops out there. Do some research and please don't waste your time here.

The only reason why I give this 1 star is because we actually found a dress for someone in my wedding party. Other than that, if you are a bride, please go to an actual bridal boutique, with someone that gives you undivided attention!

I had to complain for someone to come help us! And yes, we had an appointment and yes, we were on time!  its so chaotic in there! I don't know how brides find anything. Oh and I asked to see a mantilla and they showed me this piece of plastic crap... blah.

1. It's really hard to get someone to help you.

2. When I got there supposedly the only person that could help me was on lunch break. Was told to come back in an hour (Hell no was I gonna go back).

3. Majority of the dresses are scary with tons of beading and frou frous (YIKES!).

4. All the fat girls trying to squeeze into a dress too small for them (EWW!).

5.  All the fat girls posing in the mirrors and checking themselves out (EWW!).

6.  All the fat girls moms telling them they look great (Ya Right!).

7.  All the fat girls have their hair hi-lighted (EWW!).

8.  Many of the sales girls are clueless and when you ask questions
they look at you with a blank stare or delayed response (DUH!).

9. The lighting in the store is horrible, makes everyone look fat in a dress (Oompa Loopa!).

10. The dresses are all overpriced.

11. Majority of the girls trying on dresses ask " do I look fat"? and WHINE and WHINE and WHINE! (SHUT UP!).

12. Bunch of bridezillas come out and are on a mission. (It's like WHOA!).

13. Everyone's so serious about finding a dress. It's life or death.

*Shudder*

Come on, ladies. If you're a bride, don't do this to yourself. There are so many other ways to find a beautiful dress, not some polyester piece of crap. If your bridesmaids are adament about going here, fine. Just don't subject your body to their horrid knock-off designs.

Go here to try stuff on, and get a sense of what you like in a dress. Then try the following:

- Brides Against Breast Cancer (http://www.makingmemor...): They receive donations of new and used dresses, which they sell at cheap prices, and all the proceeds benefit breast cancer research. I found an amazing silk and imported Chantilly lace designer gown -- new, donated by the couture designer -- $5k retail -- for $599 (David's retail price!). It was a sample size, so I had my amazing dress lady (see my other reviews) take it down and add a corset back. They travel around the country, so it might be a month or two before they're back in your area, but GO GO GO. And search carefully -- look at the fabric and embellishments. Don't consider size. YOU WILL HAVE TO GET IT ALTERED. Fabric is everything when it comes to a dress. Polyester will look cheap in photos, as will "bridal satin" -- also a fake fabric. "Bridal satin" does not equal silk, ladies! :)

- Go on eBay and type in the name of the designer(s) whose dresses you like. Trust me, you'll be amazed at what you find. Type in those dream designers, not the ones you think you have to settle for.

- Sample sales, which happen frequently. Not as cheap as the other options, but it's still better to pay $2k for a $5k dress, right?
