I lost a pink ball here last night cuz it was so dark. =( But where else can you go to play 18 holes for $11?! And in November it's pay whatever you feel like to play! The minimum is $1 so don't be a cheap ass =) I plan to pay $1.80! HOLLA!

My main nemesis is the dam water, but I had no problem here... EVEN IN THE DARK!

Hmm... I was gonna give them 4 stars but on second though 5 stars for 1 dollar green fee! I mean $1.80 Yea I'm a baller like that.

Dang it's dark here.  Did they seriously only turn on one light?  I'm going to pull out my driver!  Dangit I think I just touched Dave's nipples.  Stupid lights.  Pretend like nothing happened.  If you don't acknowledge it, then it doesn't exist....

Now where are my colored balls?  Hmmm... I don't like yellow balls or blue balls...  there it is.  The pink balls are the best!  They're the brightest and if I might up the drive, I can always blame it on a girl playing because what kind of man would use a pink ball.  Not me!

Man, I wish they'd turn more than half the lights on.  And what's going on with these aerated greens?  You can't putt anything with less than a hybrid!

Sigh.  Can't complain too much.  Where else can you find a place that is $11 for EIGHTEEN holes?

That's right!  Nowhere!  Buh buh buh booyah!

DLB is located in/around Mile Square Park.  And this place makes me feel fat.  How?  It's from seeing all the runners, ballers and tennis players in the surround facilities that are actually breaking a sweat from strenuous physical activity.  Screw them, golf is exercise too!

Anyways, last night's round of 18 holes at 6pm cost me only $11.  Booyah!  (Yes, I'm still in my booyah phase).

Course gets really dark to play on after 8pm.  Since the course is surrounded by the lights of neighboring stores, glares from street lamps and passing cars, it gets a bit distracting to track your ball in the nighttime sky after you whack at it.

And it doesn't help that not all the bulbs are in use for each lamp.  Out of a possible 4 or more bulbs per lamp, they may only have 1 or 2 on at a time.  Cheap bastards!

It's also kinda chaotic here.  The layout of the greens are at times a bit confusing as well.  If you don't pay attention, you may end up on hole #3 after finishing up on #15.  On top of that, my group has almost been hit by golf balls hit by errant hackers.  Be sure to keep both your eyes and ears peeled while playing here.

I'll probably come back here to play again, but I'll be bringing a helmet and night vision goggles next time.

Oh, one more thing, don't get too close to the lakes.  They smell like a rioting chicken farm where the farmers are throwing hot garbage at each other.

Very high 3 star.
Wow. This is a pretty damn good exec course.
A step up from Forest Lake's niner.
Prices a more than fair, especially if you are playing in the middle of the week in the middle of the day.
A good locale to get ready for the weekend rounds.
A great place to hone your short game.
And the conditions  of the greens and fairways are more than decent.

One of the best executive courses in Orange County.
Mostly par 3s and a few par 4s.

Great course to work on short game and approach shots.
Where I learned to work on my game.

Aside from the fowl on the course, I've run into a fox or two.

Lots of sand, a few water hazards that run along several of the holes.

This is a nice cheap executive course located in Fountain Valley.  Water becomes a factor is some of the holes.  Watch out for the sand traps though, the sand is not your regular sand.  It is wet and makes it hard to hit out of.  Also be prepared to walk in a good amount of duck poop.  Overall the course is nice with a handful of Par 4's that are around 300 yards.  It's a great course to learn on or to work on your short game.

this place is cheap, close, and crazy short. i think i could use my sand wedge the entire round and still pull in a good score. probably the best executive course around. right in the heart of fountain valley. great place to learn.
