As a property manager with apartment buildings all over Santa Monica and Los Angeles, I use Dave's Carpet often. I can email or call Dave & Tatiana with my requests the day before and they will get it handled. They will even come to my office to pick up the keys so I don't have to make an additional trip to the property. My experience over the past 3 years has been nothing but pleasant and professional. I use Dave's carpet to replace the carpet in my vacant units or to deep clean them when that is needed. I recommend them to my tenants and apartment owners all the time.

I spoke with Tatiana about my experience. She was very courteous and offered to refund the difference. However, I declined the refund since it's not a huge amount and it's been a white, so she instead offered discount on the next service.

Now I give them 1 star. NO ONE HAS TRIED TO CONTACT ME (that I'm aware of) ... nor am I quite sure how they would contact me. Did I leave my number?? I was giving an honest review and frankly was being quite nice about the whole thing - well until now. Did I ask someone to come over and repaint my wall??? This review was only left so others know what to be aware of or what to watch out for - is that not the entire reason for people to go to yelp in the first place!!!! Perhaps I should have my friend review Dave's as well at this point. She was with me from start to finish and saw EVERYTHING FIRST HAND. Even your technicians who were at my place laughed at their own spray bottles and what was left in their own truck for them to work, with which is WHY I went easier on my original review - as I guess it was not entirely their fault.
One last thing, who in the world would go to the trouble of writing such a detailed original review, timeline etc if it was not real???

Made a call on Wed afternoon, said they would be there Thursday at 3pm...left work early, sat around until 5pm NO ONE SHOWED UP OR HAD THE COURTESY to call and say they weren't coming.
Needless to say I left some choice words on their answering machine Fri morning. Dave called back and said he didn't know what happened.
If I had to judge a business by the voice of the owner I'd still give them 1 star. Dave sounds like a burnout from the 70's...and I should know I was there to see many burnouts.
I'd give this place zero stars but am limited to one. What a huge waste of time. They should pay ME for leaving work early. -

I made the bad bad mistake of letting drunken friends get even more drunk in my bedroom of white carpet. Let's just say I've learned from my mistakes and will never let that occur again. But if you make the same mistake as I did, you can call on Dave to take good care of your carpets.
I called on a Wed afternoon and his peeps showed up right on time at 8am on Thurs morning with all their gear. $75 for one room, $100 for two. Carpets were moist and glowing white when they left at 9am.
I will never make this mistake again, but if I did, Dave will be the first one I call. -

I called Dave's on thursday for my sectional to be cleaned. I asked if they were available for the next day. The lady I spoke with said they were in the area and would come between 2-4. Well at 3:30, two gentlemen came and cleaned my sectional really well. I was really happy with the job they performed. The reasons I didn't give 5 stars were that I noticed a puddle of liquid on the floor from where they had their machine that I had to clean up after they left(luckily it was tiled). The other reason was on the following Tuesday I received a call saying that I hadn't paid, when in fact I gave my credit card to the worker on friday. Other than that....all went well and my couch looks new. :)

I don't have too much experience with carpet cleaners but was pretty pleased with Dave's Cleaning.
I called on on a Tuesday or Wednesday for a Saturday appointment and a quote. They were super easy-going on the phone, gave me a quote ($95 for 3 rooms), and took cash, credit, or check.
They showed up on time, were nice and congenial, and quick! They gave me an honest opinion on what they could do (apparently our carpets were in bad shape and they said they could get them back to 90% clean which they did). They were done within an hour and a half and charged $110 for the job (due to the poor carpet condition).
Everything I needed happened, easy, quick, and on time. -

I used Dave's service to clean a sofa and a loveseat (micro-fabric). I made arrangement over the phone and got a quote of $130. On the cleanign day, two men arrived on time (they even called 30 minutes before to tell me that they are on their way). They finished in 45 minutes. I liked the quality of cleaning and their efficiency. I would use them again if needed.

Pedro is the MAN! He was punctual, professional, and very thorough. The upstairs carpet of my townhouse looks brand new again and it was pretty gnarly. Easy, fast, no issues.

Great Service!
We called spoke to Tatiana (very friendly, easy going and helpful) and she quoted us a special rate for being first time customers. The over all rates are very affordable with no hidden costs.
Jim and his assistant came to our house on time, they were both very professional, delightful and friendly. We had very dirty carpets due to remodeling and having an a dog. He cleaned all three bedroom rugs, our stairs and two couches. Jim gave our rugs a second life and our sofas look truly great. Thank you for such great service Jim & we'll definitely recommed Dave's Carpet to anyone ;-) -

Beige carpets and two dogs meant we had filthy carpeting after 2+ years of use. Dave's team came out today and made them look like new - even the high-traffic spots, including the stairs. Pedro and Raul were professional, thorough and quick, and even called to let me know they would be running a bit late. (Which wasn't a problem, as I told them I was flexible.) I would highly recommend Dave's team to anyone.

Amazing Service!!!... Called these guys because as an apartment owner I need things done fast and today...Called them at 2pm on a Friday 11/12/10, not only were they a great value, they had guys come asap, within 15 mins, working, pre-spotting and cleaning! Juan and Raul are the best, work quick, efficient and professional. They were careful with my walls, doors and stairs. Paid with Tatiana thru the phone, credit card, email invoice and receipt within minutes!!... Amazing service!.. I will definitely be calling these guys back when my other units move!

This was a great experience. Spoke with Dave, set up an appointment for 48 hours later. The crew ( Tony and Raul) showed up on time and were very cool and professional! Unlike the competition, Dave's rates are very affordable with NO hidden costs. Our ugly carpets look and smell great! No hesitation in recommending Dave's. Excellent!

I used Dave's Carpet Cleaning back in the day when I called the West-syeed home. Dave's the man! He's honest, his rates are inexpnesive and he does Excellent work! Dave and his crew cleaned my carpets spic-n-span clean. I recommend Dave's Carpet Cleaning. He mostly works the West-syeed (Santa Monica, Mar Vista, West LA, Culver City). He's a reliable guy to use for carpet cleaning. I know I sound like a cheesy commercial, but Dave repaired the dingy house carpet I had. The before and after was impressive.

I've used Dave's Carpet Cleaning to clean our three-dog carpets and upholstery probably five or six times in the past year. They always do an excellent job and leave the carpets looking like new. Their rates are fair. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that the person who usually answers the phone when I call sounds a bit absent-minded and I'm not always sure he was listening... but then the cleaners do show up on time and do a great job so I'll continue to give them my carpet-cleaning business and recommend them to friends and fellow Yelpers.

I used Dave's several months ago based on the positive feedback on Yelp. They did a good job cleaning and they did give me the 10% of for Yelp customers. However, they made a big ordeal of cleaning under the bed. (I even had people to move it.) They said they'd have to see if they had time and then when they were almost done and I reminded them they told me I should have asked them in the beginning. Um...I did. The cleaning was good, but didn't like having to negotiate getting the WHOLE carpet cleaned.

Great reliable service, arrived on time and did a thorough job for a good price. They use a low moisture system to clean upholstery and my sofa has never looked better. The low moisture preserves the fabric and provides a faster dry time and in unlike the process that the cheap coupon-type cleaners perform (learned from experience).

Dave's carpet cleaning is amazing. They are prompt and do a fantastic job. I have been using them for 3 years now. For a court case I needed proof that I had had the carpets cleaned, multiple times. Dave's Carpet took the time to pull my old records from 3 years ago and really saved me. I wouldn't call anyone else.

Dave's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning service was great- the price was reasonable ($95 for a 1-bedroom apt), the guys were on time and friendly, they used natural products and the result was very good. I also had my sofa steam cleaned; it has a beige slip cover and I was considering buying a new slip cover because this one had dirt that didn't wash out when I put it in the washing machine. When they finished the steam clean it looked like it was new!

Ok.....I hired these guys based on the reviews on this page. Not so good. They charged $100 for two rooms, which included an extra cost, because I had pet stains. After they came, they worked and told me it would be impossible to remove the stains, but if I wanted, they could pour acid on my carpet, at the peril of my dog's health. After they left, and further examination, there were still pieces of animal poop in the carpet. I called Dave three separate times (who assured me he would take care of it) but finally talked to Tatiana, who sent out another crew. These guys also claimed that steam cleaning it again would do nothing, but they could charge me $140 to put acid on my carpet, and then come back to extract it. What a load of crap. They poured the 'acid' but I was then told by my mom's carpet cleaner that this was really just vinegar, and that this is a scam a lot of carpet cleaners run.
