I like this Dave & Busters better than the one here in San Diego. The bar is a bit bigger and so is the place itself. There are more game selections.
I love the Cactus Cooler bombs (I think that's what it was). The service is awesome, I didn't have to wait in line to order my drink.
This D&B has a great atmosphere, not much youngins roaming around.
Happy hour is always a plus!

Dave and Buster's and I have an interesting relationship...a relationship that I'd rather not discuss. Let's just say i've had a lot of fun here back in the day :D
Well since then, I haven't really been back until tonight for my cousin's birthday.
First off, I'd just like to let everyone know that Dave and Buster's DOESN'T have a BLACKLIST (if you were ever inquiring). And if you've ever gotten "86'd," you're only kicked out for the night....don't ask me why i know this :)
Anyway, as i sat there waiting to order food, i wondered why they somewhat considered themselves "fine-dining." Seriously, lose the shirt and tie...you're not a fancy enough place to be rockin' that gear.
So, why the 3 star rating? Dave and Buster's really has a crappy dinner menu...that's probably why people mostly come here for the alcohol and games. Shoulda known.
Don't have a party here unless you plan on getting wasted...otherwise, it's a waste of time.
I'd be glad to tell you however that their BBQ Cheeseburger was amazing. It's everything you want a burger to taste like. I think i was just really starving since i just got off work...but honestly, worth the whole eight bucks i spent on it.
Service was great...well sort of, I felt guilty because they camped in her section all night...and she was really sweet, so let's leave it at "service was great."
Would I come back? Oh yea. Especially now that I've confirmed that I'm NOT "Blacklisted."
...oh shoot. did i say that out loud?!

Attended a family member's birthday celebration this past Saturday night and had a fantastic time at Dave & Busters.
It's been years since I'd been to this location but my husband and I arrived around 8pm and found a couple seats at the bar. We ordered drinks and dinner, and our server was very friendly & attentive. By about 8:30pm, several booths behind us cleared out so we were able to sit down with the rest of our group to finish our drinks and order dessert.
Prices weren't too bad, we had a total of 7 alcholic drinks, a soda, 2 appetizer-sized "meals" and a dessert dish, and our tab came to ~$75. We headed to the Midway to play some video games and got our kicks playing Lost World and Daytona USA.
The entire place seemed to be buzzing and there were a lot of people, but it wasn't as packed as I expected it to be for a Saturday night in June. I would've liked to have played some pool, but we cleared out a little after 11pm to head home for some rest. I thought they kicked out the "youngins" (under 21, or under 18?) at a certain time, like at 9 or 10pm but I noticed some kids (age 10-15) running around at 11pm. Hmmm.
I'd love to come back again soon, we had such a great time. I hear the happy hour is fantastic, can't beat those prices on the food & drinks.
Our only complaint was the bathrooms. By 8:30pm the bathrooms were a mess. Trashes were overflowing, there was debris and water all over the floor and counters and looked like they hadn't been cleaned since morning. Pretty gross.

This place isn't as bad as a lot of people are making it out to be. I've had drinks here several times (yes, the drinks are pricy). I stop in every once in a while to play a few games (I've achieved gold status). I've had a few meals here. I've gone to a few of my comedian friends' shows here. I've never really had a particularly bad time here.
Tonight we had a small company party here. We started with dinner. I ordered the teriyaki sirloin steak. I ordered it rare, and I'm glad I did because when I got it, it looked medium-rare. It was still pretty good. My boss' steak looked overcooked, although I didn't ask him how it tasted.
At one point, our server disappeared, and someone else had to come in and take our orders. We later found out that the reason why she disappeared was because she was trying to win two stuffed animals from a crane game for the boss' two kids. We also found out she had a bun in the oven. Pregnant and still working as a server? Gotta respect that.
It's been a while since I've been here, and I found that they added a few more games to the arcade. Not bad.
All in all, D&B isn't bad. It isn't great, and it definitely needs improvement, but it isn't bad.
A gf recently moved into a rental unit just across the parking lot from Dave & Buster's and she invited me to join her for dinner. "It's only a 5-minute walk.", she said, and It would be both our first times.
While D&B's exuded a sense of charm and elegance with Tiffany style and train-station lamps, a stained glass waterfall (very pretty but I couldn't get it off the wall) and those huge phallic glass thingies (really, I don't know what to call them..."big, illuminated dick-like lamps?"), the food was only moderately good and the drinks way overpriced. I wanted something strong to match my humble personality, so I ordered the "T 'n Tea" and while tasty, it wasn't worth $9.50. It was worth maybe $6..."but you get to keep the glass!" Oh great, I pay $3.50 for each of two cheap glasses with "T 'n Tea" painted on them. "BFD" would be a better collectible. They'll look so gorgeously trashy in my gf's dish rack because I didn't want them.
The service was so slow I almost made a Tiffany lamp transmitter to flash Morse to the manager's station..."SEND HELP NOW"...but my gf stopped me, having much more patience than me...she still smokes cigs and had that narco/nicotine buzz going.
They poured a lot of money into building this large eatery but no matter how they try to fancy the place up with wood, glass and the like, it's still a jock bar with jock bar food and just-old-enough-to-drink dudes (who think they're jocks) hanging about all eyes and booze. Your right of passage starts right through here, sweetie.
Anyway, I think my friend should move closer to the Market Broiler where the food is better and the drinks better priced...or call it a 6-minute walk.

Ridiculously overpriced food that's not that great, yes.
Ridiculously overpriced drinks that aren't that great, yes.
Ridiculously overpriced games that aren't always working, yes.
Totally awesome 'cause it's like a mini Vegas?... yes!
Sure it's incredibly expensive to go to Dave & Buster's, but it's all about the experience. You can hang out there for hours on end, wasting money on those games you used to play as a kid at Chuck E Cheese (which I still frequent, by the way) ! Plus, D&B has a great prize selection! What do you get at Chuck E Cheese, a blow up ball or a gumball machine, if you're lucky?! (and may I just say, we only won those things because my friend had a way with her boobs and the kid at the counter.lol) But, seriously, at D&B you can win shot glasses and XBOX 360 games!! At least it gives you something to aim for.
Plus, I really like the House Of the Dead games.
Had to give it 3 stars for the food and crappy $10 drinks.. but the atmosphere is great:)
As long as I have money, I'll hang out here any night.
1. always cute girls there. YES!
2. our server totally hooked us up. YES!
3. it's nice that the mall is the smoking section.
4. i almost saw a fight break out in front of the bar. YES!
5. food is not so good. =(
6. did i mention there are a lot of cute girls?!?!
7. oh yeah i think you can play games there too.
i gave this place a gracious 4 stars because of the bomb ass service we got and there were a lot of cute girls, everywhere. but if i were to give this place a rating just for the restaurant, i'll give it a 2 1/2. food is whatever. like a cheap version of cheesecake factory.

Went here with a group of buddies and had a blast. Our waitresses were happy to joke around with some of my buddies and took all the jokes with a smile. Happy hour Jack & Cokes = $3 & change. I was definitely happy with that.
The food was pretty good but since we were all joking and talking most of the time I didn't really focus on it. No one in our group had any complaints about the service or food.

I first saw a dave & buster's in san francisico area. My first thought was .. whoa, theres a night club in the middle of a mall (due to the bouncers at the door). haha! yea .. i know, lame.
Anyways, when I moved to southern california .. the bf took me to this place. it's actually quite addicting. Except for the fact that sometimes the machines break or doesn't work properly and we have to hunt down the workers to complain and have them fix it. We usually go for trivia games as well as air hockey and basketball games. Watch out though, if you get hit by the puck from air hockey .. its probably me and the bf cause he gets aggressive/competitive .. me as well. haha.
I'm not a drinker, so I don't use the bar. Although I've been to it before with a friend for happy hour for a drink and the bartender was really nice.
Plus if you're good looking, a nice fella will send you a drink. =)
edit 3/15/08
Minus a star due to the fact that on a busy day, I understand that the place is crowded, but GOSH @#$@%$# do you have to hog the games to yourself you fat son of a #@$@#$?!!!! Learn how to share, didn't they teach you that in elementary school? ugh. such a bad time this time around.
Oh and I guess it's been a while since I've been here .. but I guess they changed the counter lady who handles the counter when you buy cards to machines. I swear, this causes the line to move even slower cause some idiots take 30 mins just to read and enter their $20 bill. grrrr
Plus kids running everywhere. I know, I know .. its kind of a family thing ..but dang, watch your kids if you're going to bring them dang it.

Dave & Buster's is always a fun place to hang out. The games can be a bit pricey, but if you know what to play, the ticket payout is fairly high. There's no DDR, but that's okay. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the dinners are nicely priced, especially if you get the ones that come with game credits.
When my kids were younger, we used to love coming here to play at the arcade. Perhaps because it was fairly new back then, we didn't experience too many problems with the machine breaking down. Slowly this place has deteriorated over the years. They do manage to bring in a few new video games from time to time but very limited in variety. And the other mechanical games (basket ball, skid ball, and all the other coin games) seem to break down a lot. In the 1 hour we were there yesterday, we had to call the service attendant 3 times.
I can't comment on the alcoholic drinks since I don't drink. The iced tea was nice, not watered down like some other places. The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich (with sate onion, green pepper, and mushroom) had nice flavor with right amount of seasoning. The Fried Shrimp Plater was not overly breaded and the dipping sauce had a little spiciness to it, which I liked. I would actually give the food here 3-star.
The ticket redemption program has also hit rock bottom. We used to be able to find many gift items to exchange, but now....... there are very few useful items to take home to! I mean how many D & B glassware does one want? The stuff animals and plastic toys are so trashy that I wouldn't even donate to the Good Wills.
And finally, DO NOT go to the women's bathroom if you can help it! It was messy and dirty. The trash cans were full with used paper towels scattered all over the floor. Broken stalls or stalls with no toilette papers. Check it before you sit down!
It's a shame because we did have some good times here through the years. But I am afraid D & B will only be in my memories in the future.

3/5 because it's big, has huge selection of games and drinks, well kept for the most part and it serves its purpose. Come here, have fun, get drunk, play games, play pool, flirt, and go home. For what it's for, 5/5 for sure since it gives its customers exactly what they expect. 3/5 for me on a personal note since it's just a place to kill time and doesn't strike me as a place to be for any other reason. *shrug*
I've been around to a few D&B's and I've found that they're pretty much all the same. The only thing that really changes is the people, and that's not even all that diverse.
I've come to this particular location on a few instances since I work nearby and there's nothing much else to do in the area except tolerate drunk bitches and horny dudes.
Back off man! I just wanna get my air hockey on.
At any rate, I don't like crowds or loud noise or belligerent dumb asses who can't handle their $5 piss beer, but for some reason, I agreed to come here on a Friday night.
I am the smart....*drool*~~~~
After playing some Time Crisis, House of the Dead, and Police Trainer, the pent up aggression was starting to release so it was on to food. 10 minute wait amongst a sea of alcoholic stench and a never ending torrent of "Woohoo!" and various profanities mixed in. By the time the table was ready, I was out the door.
And I never got my air hockey on.

The place itself would get 2 stars, but I have found the key to having a good time. This is how to do it:
1. Get 5 other friends, one of whom does not/does not want to drink (to be designated driver). Make sure none of you guys are know-it-alls.
2. Get a good buzz going before leaving for D&B, take a moment to feel a bit sorry for the DD.
3. Go to D&B, *DON't GET ANY FOOD!!!*
4. Get play cards, remember to share, since the more you spend on one card, the less you pay per credit. Also, SUPER CHARGE IT!
5. Head straight for the game show/trivia arcade game (to get to it, hug the right wall, its a hulk of a machine, with three buttons (A,B,C) for each player (room for six)
6. Spend the rest of the night playing this game.
7. if you want to keep the party going, get beers BUT AVOID MIX DRINKS OR SHOTS (I recommend Sam Adams)
8. repeat steps 6 and 7 until you get bored, which will be never!
9. Save a bit of time to cash in your tickets for prizes afterwards
Note: You don't have to drink for this game to be fun. No matter when I go or what I do at any D&B, our group always gravitates here.
Otherwise, everything else sucks. But you make your own fun right?
Two-star place
Five-star game, five-star friends, six-star night!
One last note: particularly avoid the red apple shooters and appletinis (lol... scrubs, if you know what I'm talking about) =D

I used to come to Dave and Buster's quite a bit. Lately I have only come for Happy Hour or to shoot pool.
I like the mini basketball game (not the huge high up in the air kind), the driving games (tournament), the addictive ticket games, pool tables, and the happy hour prices. It's always a good time, especially when my girls get way too wasted. oh! The pool sticks aren't bad either! I was surprised!!!
They opened an outdoor patio which is cool. WIsh it was way bigger though, but no worries, at least they have one now.

Visited Dave and Buster's at the block on Friday 2/22/2008 for Karioke and dinner for a friend's birthday. Service was good, we had steaks and they were not as ordered and arrived cold.
The atmosphere was fun and they were busy.
The Karioke system was barely functional and the host was as always a smart a--, who apparently doesn't think its important to take care of his equipment and test it before people are ready to start singing. There was no wonder in my mind why his tip jar was close to empty.
This place is so much better for food at lunch time.

I'm trying to be as honest and thorough as possible. The food was okay, not good enough to make me want to eat there agian. I got a veggie burger and fries with a snowcone alcoholic beverage. The drinks seems pretty awesome, at least mine was. But they are a little overpriced. The service was TERRIBLE. It was pretty busy, but that's just a reason to overstaff, geniuses. The huge game corridor made me want to shoot myself. Do adults still play games? I don't get it. I really don't. I found the 'yellow brick road' mildly entertaining, but after eating I just really wanted to leave. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE go here unless you have a $50 gift card like I did!
Cheers!
Million dollar margarita is good, and happy hour tequila shots-lol
Some of the food is ok, nothing phenominal, and everything is on the rather xpensive side as far as pool n games(during happy hour you can buy a 10 dollar card (ask for the power hour)for most games that don't spit out tickets, i usually do that to sober up after happy hour shots or drinks, keeps me entertained for a bit)....but I guess it's a trendy place to hang out..or somethin
They also charge a cover at times, I found that strange, guess the cover and the high prices maintain the clientele??? no idea, but I don't think I'd wanna pay to get in-lol ain't all that
Meh. I like Dave & Buster's, I like The Block at Orange, I like drinks. But it was kinda boring...we ended up leaving after an hour. This is not a place to meet people - it's more like a place to bring your entire posse to hang out and act like a kid again.

Quite disappointed. I was there last night. I am not one to end the night early, but it was such a disappointment that the night was better without it. This was true at least last night. I admit it might actually have to do with company.
What led to major disappointment was that most of the games were out of order. I am not exaggerating. Over half of the basketball games were out of order. The horse racing game didn't seem to work right. The shooting range didn't quite work....hmm there was a whole host of other things that were mediocre. All this and we had to pay a cover charge. The games were expensive for most of it being broken. I gave it one star because one would expect more from a place of this caliber.

Okay first of all having to wait for 2 hours for a freaking table is insane. The fact that we waited is even more insane. But we did, then once they called our table half of us decided we no longer wanted to eat. Ya, stupid but the bar was calling.
I had fun, I played drunked trivia (with the help of Steven P.) and won, I had WAY too many shots and I was very touchy feelie with all my friends. It happens. Too many shots will do that to you.
The main reason we choose D&B was because of my underage friend who wanted to celebrate our birthdays together. personally I think that place is overrated.

I am almost embarrassed to say that I came here. I met my friends for a drink here last night. I suggested that we not come here and head off to Memphis. (something that had character).... First off trying to find parking here is fucking HELL. I was eventually over trying to find parking so I paid $6 for the valet which of course a tip so my total for parking was $9. So, we make our way up through a line of people to a door man who looked like a Samoan version of Hulk Hogan. We get in and the place is insane. It was too crowded for my liking. Too many douche bags for my taste. We grab a table near the bar that was missing chairs. I asked a waiter if he could get us some seats. With a blank absent minded face he replied with "I dunno.. I can try to find something" ... The schmuck never tried. So, I ask the manager and he was useless as well. One of my friends that recently graduated from cosmetology school works here and once he found us he was more accommodating. Thank you Freddie.....
We ordered drinks and some appetizers. We ordered the tempura mushrooms and motzarella sticks. WORD TO THE WISE... THE FOOD SUCKS HERE.
I will not be coming here again. The crowd was lame and the service (before our friend found us) was horrid as is the food.
I would give them 1 star but my friend works here and he worked his ass off.... So the second star is for him..
Oh, and after 10 pm there is a cover charge. $3 to get into a shit hole..

I remember when this place actually used to be fun. Actually, I don't remember.....it was such a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time ago!!! Now, the games just look old and worn down and they've taken out a lot of the ones I used to think were fun. There's no point in playing the games that spit out the tickets because the gift shop has NO good prizes. The food here is just so-so, same for the drinks. I don't even know anybody who wants to go here anymore. Oh yeah, I also really miss the little movie theater type set-up they used to have where it would play 3-D movies and the seats would actually move.
Food was bland... I got a GARDEN BURGER which I could have made myself. But I guess I can't really expect Dave & Buster's to have decent vegetarian food... the sauce it came with was ranch. They did have decent fries but a bit too salty.
My boyfriend got the CHARGRILLED SIRLOIN & SHRIMP. He said it was okay but he'll eat anything that's meat (which he said so himself). The mashed potatoes that his dish came with had a lot of butter milk and butter.
Stater bread wasn't bad and the waitress was nice [but she did first bring me the MONTEREY BURGER (1/2 pound of premium ground beef, topped with melted white cheese and sauteed mushrooms, which looked good to my BF) before I got my GARDEN BURGER].
We had a great time playing the arcade games though =]

Agreed with Cee S. on this one. It's not a cool place to be in.
Overpriced games and I'm talking about games that might cost at least a $1 to play. Majority are in the 50 cents range. One time, someone spent $60 in 30 minutes here. Your money can last a lot longer in a Vegas Casinos than at this place.
Their food and drinks are bleh as it is. It's probably no better than going to National Sports Grill for meals, but at least it doesn't cost any to watch the games on TV for entertainment.
I had a miserable experience when I have left my ID at home one time and the guy tried to kick me out at 5pm because they were getting ready to make it all adult evening. I get the reason why the kids needs to go, but I don't look anywhere near 21 as flattering it sounds. They didn't card the big buxom blonde that was near me, but I get the card treatment. What a joke of impartiality these guys are displaying. They pretend to enforce all the rules and look shallow doing it.
As in for the place being the adult version of Chucky E. Cheese... do you want to go to any version of Chucky's? Think it this way, the adult version is not any better than the kid's version. It's still have the kids running around, weird taste in the food, and very expensive of a party to be in.

The drinks are terrible and overpriced (worst dirty martini. EVER). The food is bland and unremarkable, and the portions are tiny. This place probably serves the worst food I've ever had at any eatery. The buffalo wings probably came from chickens raised in Africa, they were so tiny and meatless (not to mention pitifully seasoned). The nachos could have come from a can. The ribs were edible, but tiny and dry.
Come here for the environment, if you want, but stay away if you want good food/drinks.
Wait...this place has an arcade AND a game room?!? In all honesty, I usually came here just to drink. I didn't know how those game cards worked until it was put in my hands at the entrance and I was forced to use it (usually I just gave it to someone), and I didn't know little green tickets meant free entrance until some guy handed me his after realizing that the place was too crowded for his taste.
Yes, the place was crowded. Maybe uncomfortable especially during happy hour. Arrive an hour before happy hour and you're okay. What, it's going to be a long wait? Then you either spend more money and play games or do what we did and split our game time with the Shuffleboard table. None of us knew how to play, but we at least had a table to put down our drinks and food, learned to play shuffleboard, and managed to keep our tabs open at the bar.
And, if security is doing their job, all the teenagers should be out of that place by 10PM - curfew and all.
Like all bartenders, they don't want to give you water in a glass, they want to charge you for a water bottle. But, if you walk up drunk and stupid, you'll get charged for the bottle, UNLESS, you walk up drunk and considerate then they'll be nice enough to give you a glass with ice.
Don't forget your ID.

I've been to many Dave and Buster's and this one is the absolute worst. It was an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere, sketchy customers, sketchy bartenders...just sketchy-ness all around. Service can not get any worse!!!
Waited about 20 minutes for table. *thats ok*
Waitress lets us know that system is down food might take a little longer. *thats ok not your fault*
Waitress doesn't come back to let us know that last call was 20 minutes ago *Now I am PISSED!*
Waitress forgets to put in one of our orders, the orders she put in she got those wrong! *We are all very angry*
I never called the manager at any store or restaurant because I understand how hard it is to deal with people on a consistent basis.
But when there is no other occupied tables around and we can't order any more drinks because we weren't told of last call and our orders come out wrong thats sufficient enough reason to get really mad. The manager gave us vouchers to go back and eat on the house but I just wanted to eat and drink that night. Still haven't gone back and don't plan on it.
The arcades are really expensive to play on, and there is a cover to even get inside what a rip off!!

It's like the Chuck E Cheese for adults. Although D&Bs allows youngens to venture forth this is more of an arcade slash pool hall for over 21ers, especially in the evenings. I prefer The Block because it has everything a typical D&Bs has plus a few other bars and restaurants within walking distance say...one block. Watch out now! You may be annoyed with the pre-pubescent teens thinking they're cool now that they can watch PG-13s at the AMC.

my husband and i come here all the time. we ALWAYS have a good time because of all the games and when we get hungry [guessing we're lucky] we always end up getting a table pretty quickly. although i will say this one time we went, we got 'kicked out' because one of the bartenders was being a dick. his name was sam or john or something. what a fuckin dick ! i'll tell you that. we were so pissed off ! i wish we kicked his ass. but we went there on saturday, and i guess he remembered my husband and was being cool. blah. whatever. but when you DO go there on a Friday or Saturday night, there are girls there who dress like they're going to a fuckin club !! One time i went there while i was pregnate and guys were still trying to hit on me ! So the only con, the slutty dressing girls and the horney guys. haha. maybe some of ya'll like that... idk.. food is good though ! especially the hot wings.
oh and let me add, that only CERTAIN nights are good for the kids :]
only go here if you like wearing flip flop sandals and you like bud light. it's that or do a shitload of coke before to deal with it.
