Dave & Buster's is the kind of place you go to when feeling mentally defeated that you couldn't figure out a better option while in the Ward area. Or killing time while waiting for a movie and need a booze fix.

The last time I came here was after seeing a David Lynch movie at the Doris Duke theater thinking we could find at least one air hockey table. Like most places they didn't have one so there was no point sticking around since it was overcrowded, the noise and lights are reminiscent of a scene from Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas and it's just a dull place in general.

Drinks are watered down. One visit I couldn't even have any alcohol because the lamination on my ID was peeling off since I still get carded. A bunch of boring mediocre games that it felt like a ripoff and a waste of time.  A bland fattening menu. The staff is alright I suppose. Never going back ever again since it's just so boring and overpriced. Next time at Ward killing time I'll just go to a dive bar nearby where they don't water down drinks and overcharge.

Honolulu's D&B is pretty standard as far as they come, drinks, bar food, and games! Chuckie Cheese for adults, as I like to say.

I went in this weekend and was not surprised that both the door guy and bartender hesitated to accept my Hawaii license with its peeling plastic. I ended up getting "approval" to partake in adult beverages and joked with the bartender that the fake IDs probably don't peel like the real ones do :)

I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken club-type sandwich, it wasn't too fried or greasy and didn't give me a tummy ache, like junk food can do! The sweet potato fries were good, too.

I didn't get a chance to kick any a$$es in trivia, although I could have and usually do!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hadn't been to Dave & Buster's in a really long time. Like longer than two kids ago. This past Saturday the hubby wanted to meet up with some of his friends there before going to a movie. Since this would mean we would be going out sans kids, I willingly went.

We met our friends upstairs in the arcade area. It was pretty crowded but luckily we were able to find a table. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share and drinks. My hubby's drink of choice: a black and tan. My drink of choice: a chocolate milkshake. That's right. I'm living on the edge.

Our server, Ben, was exceptional. He was funny, super nice, and really accommodating. Our service sucked when he went on break but when he came back he made sure we were well taken care of. Seriously, Ben. You. Are. Awesome.

Sure the food and drinks are a bit pricey, but having a good time with your friends is priceless.

This place is somewhat one of those last resort places to go when you're all out of options and you just have no clue what you want to do.  Now...this isn't a bad thing, because D& B's does have a lot to offer.  Especially this particular location in Honolulu.  =)

I've visited this food+games+alcohol place several times and they've all be pretty different experiences.  For the dining area, I don't mind the food.  It's american, which I sorta have a hard time choosing.  Of the food I've tried the dishes that have made the top of my list: Chicken wings, donut holes, the cranberry salad, and their drinks.

The fun upstairs is great especially if you're with cool group of people.  The speed ball and catching the stuffed animals are my favorite.  I like how this location has a bar and seating areas where you can play games too, but they get filled up quickly. So if you want one of these coveted seats you'll have to come early and act quick.

Another great thing about this location? The large selection of game prizes.  I've visited one other D&B's and I was surprised at how small their prize section was.  It made me feel a little happy in my heart that our small state smacked right in the middle of the Pacific ocean got a bigger D&B's with a bigger prize section =)

A couple of things I dislike about this place is the silly $3.00 (?) cover charge after 9 or 10 on the weekends.  What is that about?! is it really THAT happening of a place that there needs to be a cover charge? hmm...

I would go back here definitely for some winning of stuffed animals and playing speed ball and eating donut holes =)

All I know is I'm an addict on Wednesday's. A glorified addict to the point of where I need to attend gamers anonymous. The only machine that's really worth it is the coin slot game machine thing.

I know that Wednesday's is half off and worth it if you're having dinner. I've been told to always supercharge when you're getting the eat and play combo.

Located upstairs at Ward Center right next to Consolidated Theaters in Honolulu. Parking is available in the structure, across the street, or behind the structure.

Now I'm not one for spending money on games... but my BF and his brothers (and my niece) absolutely love coming here to burn money. I think I'm more practical... or I'd rather spend my hard earned money on a tangible good instead of a game that'll last a minute... eh... that's just me!

We always eat before we play... get it? Eat n' play... lol... and I love the food at D&B's!!! The restaurant is fairly large and very clean (a must) and I like the booths/tables and chairs set up.

Service has been good all the times we've come. Hostesses to waithelp have been friendly and efficient. More times than I can count a manager has come by the table just to see how everything was going. I appreciate that! CORI is an AWESOME server BTW!!! She's ON IT!

For appetizers, we've tried the potato skins (sub par), buffalo wings (yummy), philly cheesesteak eggroll (sounds weird but is RIDICULOUSLY YUMMY), fries (nothing special), and sweet potato fries (my BF LOVES em), and queso (literally they have THE BEST queso around!)

Entrees: We always get the "Hawaiian New York Steak". It's a 12 oz or 14 oz (I forgot) new york strip grilled and basted in some secret "Hawaiian" sauce. It's kinda a sweet thin bbq type of sauce but it's really good! I get my steak medium with loaded mashed potatoes and onion strings. Now... I HATE onions... WITH A PASSION... I think they're disgusting and ugly... BUT... I'll eat the onion strings at Dave & Buster's!!! Why?! I HAVE NO FREAKIN CLUE! You don't BITE into a thick slivery slimy onion (like a traditional onion RING)... and these have just the tiniest HINT of onion flavor but they're so thin and crispy that you can't really taste it... I dunno what they do to these onion strings but they're SOOOO GOOD!!! And they accompany the steak perfectly! The portions here are HUGE and the prices are definitely reasonable! The steak is about $20. Deal!

Side note: The caesar salad is nothing fancy and I have tried a shrimp pasta bake... it SUCKS. No flavor. Not cheesy. Overcooked shrimp and chicken. Not impressed and majorly disappointed. Eat the Hawaiian steak!!! It's YUMMY!

You can get the "Eat N' Play" combo so you add value to your power card and it's cheaper than just putting money onto your power card. I'm actually an email member of D&B's so I get coupons for "free $20 gameplay w/ purchase of $20 gameplay" which is good for my big kid... oh wait, I meant my BF. Haha. I do enjoy playing (or losing) at Wheel of Fortune or Deal or No Deal on occasion. Other than that I just cheer on the BF. Ohhhh and ONCE... I actually scored 500 tickets on that fishing wheel. WOOHOO!

I've been here twice now and was not impressed with the service either time.

On my first visit we were with friends and the service was really slow. The drinks were watered down. The food was average, its kinda hard to news up a salad and burgers.

The second time was for a private event. The food was better, what I got of it that is. They did not do a good job with placing the party in an area that could had ample seating so some people stood to eat. The food ran out and they were extremely slow in replenishing it.

I don't come here for the food.  It's expensive and nothing special.  Plus I'd rather spend my money on their games, especially on Wednesdays when all games are 1/2 off!  Play the games that give you tickets, because you can redeem those tickets for toys, logo items, and even Apple products (mini iPods, iPads) and XBoxes!

Caution - the games are very addicting, just like Vegas!!

Normally I love D&B's but when we went last weekend for my friend's birthday it was a bittersweet experience.
We had 21 people all together so I admit that's a hard group to seat but they sat us on one big table and two small ones. And when we asked to combine the two small tables they told us no! I still don't see the reasoning behind that but whatever.
We found a worm in one of our drinks (ewe!!!) and they didn't even comp it!!! Seriously you charge us for giving us a worm drink and then make us wait another 20 minutes for another one? I think they can afford to compensate!!!
Well besides those two things we had a great night, the waitress was nice about splitting up our checks, and the food came fairly fast.
Best part of the night hands down had to be the magician. OMG! He had skills.
Overall it was a good night. Oh btw get the Mac n cheese, sounds simple but it's delicious!!

I'm pretty sure the only thing worth coming to Dave & Busters for is their HAPPY HOUR! Mon-Fri 4:30-7 and Sun-Thurs 10-close. And I feel that I need to make this clear: There is absolutely NO HAPPY HOUR ON SATURDAYS! Don't come to Dave & Busters on a Saturday! There is also no late happy hour on Fridays! There are so many bars/clubs with drink specials on the weekends, so find one of them for your drinking pleasure instead!

During HH, cocktails are half off and there are some beer and wine specials also. Food is still regular priced, though. D&B has a pretty nice cocktail menu, and during HH you'll be paying less than $5 for everything. However, that means that when it's not HH, you'll be paying close to $10 for a lot of their drinks. BOOOooo. It's not THAT good.

Oh, you don't come to D&B just to drink? OK, sure. There's also the game room. They have a pretty good variety of games to waste away the night (and your money) at. Seriously, if its not Half Off Wednesdays, my PowerCard runs down preeettty quick. It's worth it to come on Half Off Wednesdays to play cheap, but then you have to compete with college kids coming for Light The Roof on Fire, which is where D&B turns their rooftop deck into a club scene complete with a mini dance floor. During school breaks and on holidays the line for this gets CRAZY and it becomes jam packed inside. During the semester though, it is dead, dead, dead! I'm not sure why they even do it during the off season. I went up to check it out once in September and I was embarrassed for them. The DJ was trying his best but no one dare be the first on that tiny dance floor!

Anyway, besides all of that, service has always been hit or miss. I've experienced really bad, OK, and pretty good from both the restaurant and upper decks. I don't particularly love the entrees here, but a lot of their appetizers are good, albeit pricey. I really only come here when a bunch of my friends insist on doing so. The next day, someone will ask, "Did you have fun last night?" and my reply is always, "Well, it was Dave and Busters." And they know what I mean. It's only going to be as fun as you or your group of friends are. D&B itself will not direct how my night goes.

ONE LAST THING: The bathrooms here are getting worse and worse! Every time I come there is a stall or two out of order, a paper towel rack that's empty or broken, a stall without toilet paper or seat covers, whatever. On my most recent trip, it was beyond disgusting. It looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a few weeks! There was literally trash all over the ground, no soap in two dispensers forcing us girls to share one sink, and only toilet paper in one stall! This was in the downstairs bathroom where there are three stalls. Ewwwww. Upstairs was not as bad, but still needed some major TLC. Get with it D&B! I'm not the clean police, either. Like, forreal. I'm usually not bothered by a mess, but this place is just getting down right disgusto.

    Merrrrp....

It's D&B's.  Nothing spectacular, but pretty consistent and inexpensive, depending on what you do.  The combo of games/drinking has some novelty appeal, although I think once I try Nocturna, I may find it hard to come back here.

The food (mainly the fries) is good for drunken munchies, but I don't think I would order a steak dinner here.  The bartenders/servers are not shy about enforcing their closing time at midnight policy.  They will have you out of there immediately after the clock strikes twelve.

Bonus points for the central location and ample parking.

    Yes. Ol' reliable DnB's.

Came here on a Wednesday evening (5:30) with my cousins, and started off downstairs in the restaurant portion of DnB's. It was Happy Hour, which meant it was 1/2 off drinks. Ordered 4 drinks, one of which was not on happy hour: Pink Lemonade Shot (not on happy hour), the Tropical Mojito (one of my new favorites), and an AMF (alright, not as strong as other places I've been to).

Food-wise, I ordered the Eat and Play Combo, the Golden Chicken Fingers paired with a 20 dollar game card, all for $24.99. Not bad, plus the food was really good. The french fries were extra crispy (not a soggy one in sight), and the chicken fingers paired with that honey-mustard-I-don't-know-how-to-describe-it sauce was amazing. The service was really fast, and friendly. The bill didn't come out to that much, which was surprising with the amount of drinks that were ordered. Thank goodness for Happy Hour!

Next, we made our way up to the games! GAMES! I haven't played there since I was a kid at my little cousin's birthday party, mind you. And although it was PACKED (1/2 games as well), it was so much fun. Played Fruit Ninja (one of my latest addictions), and tweaked on those stupid coin machines that fling out the coins, and whenever the coins fall you get tickets (reminded me of Vegas, some other people were sitting on the same machines for a while).

Overall, a full belly, good company, and games that made you feel like a little kid again makes this place one of my go-to places.

I usually don't do this unless I really have to, but I'm gonna have to separate fact from fiction with this review on Dave & Buster's. The idea of having an arcade place for adults is one helluva great concept and I for one am a fan of it. However, it's not good enough for me to give it a five star rating and let it be in the main event at WrestleMania.

Now before any of you die hard lovers of Dave & Buster's wanna criticize me for giving this place a three star rating, read through my review and see what I have to truly say. it's not that I have anything against Dave & Buster's. As a matter of fact, I enjoy coming here whenever I have the chance to do so to have lunch, dinner, and play arcade games with friends. However, seeing as though this place is filled to capacity with so many adults on a nightly basis, it's almost as if it's overrated.

Now, what I mean by overrated is that Dave & Buster's is not only an arcade place for adults, but it's also a place where you can eat food, drink at the bar, hang out with various people on the rooftop and get wasted, and many more. Obviously, I stay well away from the bar because drinking is not worth a damn thing to me, it's a waste of my time and money, and it absolutely sucks. Majority of the people that come here is to drink, party, get wasted, eat food, and play arcade games. Yes indeed playing arcade games is a lot of fun, but it's also a great way to spend all your money and end up being bankrupt.

However, the food Dave & Buster's serve is great. I've eaten here on many occasions and I must say they sure know how to make delicious food. At the same time, it's pricey to eat here. If you wanna save money, there's half off on meals and games on Wednesday's so at least that's the good thing about this place if you ask me. On almost every evening, the place is so damn packed especially on Tuesday's for Taco Tuesday's and on the weekends. You can't even find a place to sit down and eat, and I've seen it firsthand many times so it's no surprise to me whatsoever.

Dave & Buster's is a fun place to hangout at, but it's almost as if to say the place is overrated. Parking is a pain in the ass though. If you're trying to find parking in the parking structure in the Ward Entertainment Complex, good luck on doing so. It's literally impossible to find parking, and you might even have to park in the overflow parking lot outside of the parking structure, the parking lot across the street, or even at Ward Warehouse.

I think this place is hecka overrated but it's still a fun place to go to especially for adults and young adults.  The restaurant area is aight.  Food and prices are decent.  The eat and play combo is a pretty good deal.  The arcade games around here are pretty good.  It keeps people of all ages entertained and having fun whether you are playing for tickets or no tickets most of the games are pretty good.  Wednesdays is the most poppingiest day you can come here during the week.  They have half off everything that day.  Even though it is the most poppingiest, it's also the most irkingest because most of the time it's just too damn crowded and sometimes the overwhelmingness of other people's fun triumphs and puts down your anticipation of having fun.  If you get too drunk or if you show signs of intoxication, security will escort you out of the building.  I suggest be a Designated Driver if you are coming with a lot of friends unless you are the focal point/celebrant of the get together.  The Showroom sometimes has events such as the Greg Hammer band, go-go dancing, Djs, etc.  You can rent that place out on your own if you want to have an event there like a graduation or birthday.  The first time I came over to the Showroom I thought it would be bigger but no it's actually smaller than you think.  The rooftop also sometimes has events going on up there too.  I also like cruising and window shopping at the prize redemption shop area.  It's pretty cool looking at all of the prizes and stuff.

1st Level: The Restaurant and the Bar

Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem when you decide to go to D&B's to eat? The wait is long despite the fact that there are alot of tables opened. Yet, they will ask you for your cell phone number to call you when you're table is ready (huh?)

Then, there is the fact that the service is mediocre.

The food is pretty good...once it arrives

If you do come with a group, you are automatically charged a gratuity, which if you have poor service...your server still gets a tip.

Granted, it may be a convenience if you are heading up to the 2nd level but I would rather spend my money at Big City Diner or other eats that are surrounding Ward.

    2nd Level: The Gaming Room

You know the little jingle of Toys R Us "I don't wanna grow up, cause baby if I did, I wouldn't be a Toys R Us Kid" or something like that but this jingle sticks into my head as I step onto the second level of D&B's.

However, my jingle for D&B's is that "Since I have advanced in my age and earning my wage, I am going to D&B's because I can do what I please...since I am no longer a Toys R Us Kid"

I know, I know..that jingle sucked, which is why I am not in the advertising business.

As years have gone by, games have changed but the competitive testosterone still permeates the air over the sounds of sports being played while people from kids to adults roam around looking for games to play.

You see the people by those coin machines as if it is slot machines and grabbing the tickets they accumulate to buy unnecessary items that you can pay for $1 yet you've bought a $20 game card to get that very item.

3rd Level: The Supposed Club / Bar
I've only been here once in the early 2000's but meh...it is no big thing. You're thinking "oooh, club / bar on theh roof top with music". It's nothing spectacular to where you feel as if you're mingling with the elite of Honolulu because you're not. You're basically mingling with the same hopefuls of feeling "chic and cool".

Until management turns this around and vamp it up to entice this island again, it will only be a grown-up fun factory that is located at Ward Center.

    I have a rollercoaster relationship with D&Bs. It's the love-hate thing.
I remember when it first opened, it was like a new Jungle-Fun/ Funfactory kind of place where I get so excited to go to but better, with FOOD. So yeah, exciting!

But now after so many years, and finally being of age to get myself in I've finally really experienced D&Bs and I still have mixed emotions.

+I like the events they hold. I remember going to Ladies night where they had $5 massages and cheap haircuts, and free makeovers and it was just a whole lotta fun.

+I love taco tuesdays. They have the bessst Taco Tuesdays. Its so filling and they give out tshirts tickets and other random things all the time. Their spicy taco is the best.

+They have other random events like DJ battles, etc.

+Happy hours are the best ^__^

I guess what I hate is when it gets so crowded it just feels like we're all confined. if you're claustraphobic, DnB Weds isn't for you.

games can be fun but a bit pricy and the prizes aren't really worth it.
I'll just leave it at this:  I enjoy it when the crowd isn't too rowdy. Maybe on a mellow evenings because they offer a lot so it is a great place for parties.

They have lots of parking and offer valet service on the weekends too.

When it comes to food, they've got lots of choices. They even have healthy options on the menu too. We really enjoyed their soft taco dish (you can get shirmp, steak or chicken).

The games! My husband and I are reminded of Vegas when we go there. Eat tons, play games, drink, and then do it all over again. Love it!

I have mixed feelings about this place. I want to love it but there's no room in my heart for a place with POS type of service.

The food in the restaurant area is good. Chicken Crispers are good and they make awesome salads. The rest of the food is decent as well. So food alone gets 3 stars.

On to the service... It's Horrible! I'd give them a negative trillion star rating for service. The bitches yes I said (BITCHES) that are supposed to be the so called "Hostess" are total Jerks. They will not seat you without majority of your party being there. Um that's an issue in itself because people are not always going to be on time,I know I'm always one of the late comers. They are like seating Nazi's! oh there's only 8 of you here and you want a table for 12? Sorry you gotta go on the waiting list even though the restaurant is empty we still need to visibly see at least 10 of you before seating you. EAD D&B! By the time there's 10 of us ,8 of us is gonna wanna rip your face off so take your wait list and shove it. Hostess and most of the wait staff suck.

Up one floor from the dining area and you end up in the game room. Games are alright but bore me easily. Plus the place smells of sweat, vomit, trash and old dirty towels blended into one unholy smell. I have a keen sense of smell already so it hits me hard when i walk into this place. How do people manage to drink in this place? Perhaps they dont care cause thats how they'll end up smelling by the end of the night anyways. Yes I'm an effen Hater! The smell in here is putrid.

To the roof top we go! The view is nice up here :) But the crappy service from the lower levels of this place made it's way up here as well. Bartender's are not very friendly or very attentive. There is one waitress that was great. Her name is Kat, she was the nicest one on D&B's payroll.

We had our Christmas Party here and the food was disgusting. Half cooked chicken ,Im talking some of them were actually raw on the inside! Salmonella anyone?? Oh yes I'll take one salmonella and a side of over cooked veggies.Yum... That's what they served us, an hour late on top of that. FYI dont host your event here. Or choose an appetizer menu instead of an entree.

D&B's re evaluate your employee's and hire people that actually enjoy working in this type of industry. Fellow yelper's save your money and avoid this trap hole. Totally not worth it...

I didn't want to come here because we have D&B's at home in Cali.  But I was told they have a rooftop you can drink on, so I wanted to check it out. They have that and a DJ on Wednesday nights.
They had a line going for those who wanted to enter the rooftop.  We had to a wait awhile.
There's a VIP area you can enter (if you pay lol) and they have a dj there and a small dance floor.
Wish Cali D&B's had rooftops you can chill on.  Too bad the night we went had some rain.

People seem to like coming here for drinking and I guess its an alright place to drink. I really like taco Tuesdays because for $1 tacos, they are pretty good. I like that when you pick up certain meals you can grab a play card with it, which is worth it if youre down with wasting time at the arcade. This time around... because of the play cards I think the two of us spent $60 because we shared our food with the other 8 people at the bar table. I was surprised that the auto-gratuity applied to those first come first serve seats.... but... okay, the server was really nice.

We came to D&Bs to eat dinner here with a group of coworkers. I'm going to explain how sh*tty the food and service was. There was 8 of us at the table.

For appetizers we ordered nachos, spinach dip, potstickers, sweet potato fries, and that spring roll that taste like a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger spring roll was the worse. It was super gooey with puke like texture. The sweet potato fries were okay. The spinach dip was too rich and didn't have a lot of chips. The potstickers were lame, but I've seen worse at Korean restaurants that deep fries them. The nachos was the best of the worse but it wasn't fully loaded like the picture.

My friend ordered the Black Jack New York Strip medium. I ordered the Peppercorn New York Strip rare. About 5 minutes later, the waiter completely forgot what I ordered and had to ask me again. I think he was trying to be a badass and remember everyone's order without writing it down.

When we got our entrees, we noticed a lot of problems. My peppercorn New York Strip didn't had any sear. It was 40% fatty, 60% meaty, and cooked to Medium crap. It was gray colored looking, the inside was off pink, tasted very bland, the fat was still white, and impossible to cut off. My friend ended up getting the Black Jack Sirloin done rare instead of the New York Strip. We looked at the waiter weird and then realized how stupid he was. How could you mess it up our order when you asked us what we ordered twice? We ended up trading dishes and I got to try the Sirloin. It was done rare, the texture was close to mush, it was warm, and very bland tasting. I believe the meats were sitting out for too long and wasn't seasoned properly. I was afraid to finish my meal.

Water wasn't refilled even though I asked.

I don't know know anyone can mess up cooking steak. All you need is pepper and salt to season it. Sauce on a steak is just a bonus.

Never go to D&Bs for food unless you want to Eat Sh*t and Play Gastroenteritis Combo.

Yay!  I haven't been here in quite a long time but it felt great to come inside. I remember coming here once for a party and getting the whole eat and play card. But on this occasion we just ate.

So I've been craving a nice salad...Yup, what a great place to get one. I got the steak salad with dressing on the side. The dressing was a balsalmic vinegarette and it was a little sweet with some tang. The steak I got cooked med well but I think it came out just medium becuase it was quite pink. My salad was piled high with greens and a few little tomatoes, sprinkled with blue cheese (i think it was blue cheese) and candied pecans which were the shit. I actually picked out all of them and wish I could have just had candied pecans by itself, they were so good.

The portion was very big and I enjoyed every bit of it...I could not eat the ENTIRE plate cause I got full. But I really liked being able to control my amounts of dressing- I didn't use too much of it.  I would have liked a little steak sauce but it never occurred to me to ask. I'm sure I could have gotten some.

All in all, the service was great (had a server named Ikaika who was very friendly) portions were nice, price was decent...and It's quite conveniently located next to the theatre so we were able to eat before our movie.

There are many things to review for this place..

    The Food:
    * Typical American joint. Burgers. Fries. The Works. Nothing special. Lots of Cheese and Lots of Butter

    The Drinks:
    * All the drinks they've made for me have been very delicious!

    The Games:
    * They always have some new game system whenever I visit, so I'm glad they keep it updated

    The Weird:
    * From Radiant C.'s review: "I don't like how people get overly rowdy near the bar, especially when there are still young children around."
UHMMMMM... Radiant C... I'm not sure if you are aware, but DnBs is an ADULT ESTABLISHMENT. Of course people AROUND THE BAR are going to be ROWDY. They don't care about your children. And plus, you should've anticipated this since they do actually enforce a 25year or older person to "hover" the children that they bring.

    Duh.

What's not to like? There's not much... Drinks, sports, games & good food. It has something for everyone.

We've rented the private room twice. On both occasions it was a great time the food as always was delish, the pool & shuffle board made the 4hours go by all to quickly.  Our server was on it with everyone, no one was left out.  It is alittle pricey, but we didn't do anything except show up & enjoy our guests...that works for me. :))

Every now and then, we'll go & have a date night :P Have dinner, play some games, always a fun time. No complaints here :))

This review is simply on the busiest night at D&Bs...WEDNESDAY!

If youre a college student or a college dropout and you havent been to D&Bs on a Wednesday night...you must be doing very well in school!

ANYWAYS! D&Bs on a Wednesday night has been a weekly ritual for me this summer. Was not at all a fan of it at first because of the crazy crowd and long lines...but once you got that drink in your hand...YOU ARE SET!

Remember those days when all you wanted to do was play video games or try to win the teddy bear from the claw machine? Well now add half priced alcohol and music...you got D&Bs on a Wednesday night.

There are bars on every floor of D&Bs making it really convenient for those who are thirsty! Keep in mind, this place gets PACKED so there will be lines. Once it reaches around 12:30-1am...I like to head to the down stairs bar because it kind of clears out by then making it much easier to grab a drink.

The top floor turns into a rooftop night club with djs, gogo dancers, and a vip lounge. FYI it get super packed and super hot up there sometimes. But its always fun with the right crowd.

Like house, trance, or dubstep? The party room next on the gaming level plays just that. This has to be one of the cooler (temperature) areas in D&Bs.  Also a great place to dance because of the darkness and like I said before, coolness of the room.

Been here for countless birthdays and everyone of them was truly a success! 4 stars for cheap booze and crowds!

    I'm a fan of D&B,
    despite the poor service.

I usually take the bad news before the good so I'm gonna out right say it that service at D&B is bad. Which is kind of sad, because there are a few workers that I've noticed that are really good, hard working people, with personalities, and whatnot.  BUT, there are more very rude, ignorant, I really wonder why you got into a "service industry" job, because you really don't give a...

ANYWAYS! When I'm at D&B I usually keep to the people I'm around and hardly ever have to deal with any of the workers there unless, 1) I need a drink, 2) I need a drink, and 3) If I feel like eating- which happens not too much lately.

Food DOWNSTAIRS in the restaurant is okayyy. It's a commercial "chain food" restaurant: potato skins, chicken tenders, burgers, pasta, salads etc. It's if-y, on quality- sometimes it's a good cook, some days it's not.

Food UPSTAIRS on the other hand is pretty good. The Sunset Bar has it's own menu totally separate from D&Bs regular menu and serves twists on local foods. Kalua Quesadillas, Poke, Fresh Fish, Kalbi, etc. TACO TUESDAYS $1 tacos. Delish.

But enough about food, the main reason I am a fan of D&B is because it is FUN!! It's an Adult Fun place, to relax, play games, and feel young again. Go during Happy Hour if it's not on a Wednesday- HH all day. (I personally don't like Weds. it's too crowded, kinda ghetto with the club upstairs on the roof) I like Tuesdays or other odd days of the week, because I can go around playing games without waiting in line! BUT, Weds is half off all games. Meh, decisions decisions..

I used to come here alot to just play the video games up stairs when I did not have anything better to do.  While now I am older and somewhat wiser, I return to Dave & Buster's to celebrate a surprise birthday party for two friends. It was on Friday evening.  The bar was playing NFL preseason football and the dining area was buzzing with activity.  It wasn't full just yet, but it was being filled for a night of fun.

The service was slower than expected, but it was Friday night and I imagine that they were short staffed that night.  The birthday girls were indeed surprised.  I ordered the double cheese burger and fries for $10.89 and a large heinekin, which I learned later was $5.89.  I hate those restaurants that don't tell you the drink prices in print before they hand you the bill.  Perhaps, I should've asked, but oh well. Live and learn, I guess.

The food was ok, I guess, but that's an expensive burger, almost like buying Burger King at the airport. Craziness! But it was for a good cause and I had a fun evening.  The atmosphere was festive and the ambiance was great.  Won't say that I'll be back regularly, but for special ocassions, I'll probably will be.

Only really come here on Wednesdays because it's half off drink specials and because its VIP Ladies Night* It's always packed on this day so you better come early. I like to pre-game anyways because I just always do. LOL They serve food late night too if you come hungry.

Not much of a big fat of playing games so I would know nothing about that. I do know that on Saturdays they have no happy hour. So you're shit out of lucky if you go there on saturday wanting to hit up happy hour. But like most places idk why they don't have happy hour on Saturdays.

If your under 21 you need a sponser of 25 or older.
There's hella parking either across the street in the back of the building  on the side of the building or underneath.
    Full Bar
Great for a casual date or random birthday party

I love going here for fights they hold screenings inside you can buy tickets for that when the even happens.

ohhhh&also its good on Taco Tuesdays! On the roof top they have $1 Tacos with $3 Coronas. But if you don't like it here you can always go down stairs right next there's this little bar called "Tropics" they have a bomb Taco Tuesday too! lol

    (: see you thereee

I don't like playing the games, and I don't like how loud it is when people play these games. I don't like how people get overly rowdy near the bar, especially when there are still young children around.

I would much rather eat at the restaurant so that I won't have to endure all this, but because I have nine-year-old brother, I am forced to go to the game area to eat at the booths there.

It takes forever to get the attention of a waiter, and forever to wait for them to clear our table before even taking our order. I also dislike having people who are playing lean against our seats/booth. It's very unnerving. VERY.

I do like these though: The mountain o' nachos, the grilled chicken quesadillas, the sweet apple pecan salad, and the Cajun shrimp alfredo.

    That is it.

    That is all.

I haven't been to Dave & Busters since I moved to Los Angeles.   My coworkers and I from the State used to come here after work for happy hour and get trashed.  And I mean Trashed!!!!!  The happy hour special was too good to miss.  Drinking, getting trashed and playing video games. Those were the good days.

Now, that I have "matured", Dave & Busters is still a very good place to have fun.  I now take my nephews and nieces here when I come back to visit.  Gone are the drunken crazy days and in replace is good, wholesome, family fun.

The food is okay, but you are really here to play the games.  It's all about the games.

I still (heart) Dave & Busters.

Most times, the servers are really good.

I love their teriyaki sirloin, Mac & cheese, blackened chicken pasta, Caesar salad & gold fingers. DO NOT order the loco moco. First of all, the portion is not worth the price, but moreso, it smells & tastes horrible! It seriously smells like buds from a marijuana plant & the taste well, I couldn't swallow it. Idk how they can serve it like that! Didn't think it was possible to mess up a loco moco! They did a good job of doing that!

If you saw two guys, a tall black guy and a Filipino guy, playing a korean version of DDR for almost 2 hours non-stop, I was that Filipino guy you probably saw!

Honestly I didn't expect to play that long nor did I expect to be playing on these dance games again. I thought I put my DDR days behind me since I left high school but it seems like I still have soft spot playing it. Back in the day me my cousin was insanely obsessed in perfecting our skills and these youtube videos inspired us. http://www.youtube.com... and http://www.youtube.com...

After the first attempts in adjusting to using the diagonal and center pads we eventually got good enough to get an A up to a 6 star difficulty level but any level higher than that is just impossible for both of us, you have to be a super human to move that fast. We got some attention from the crowd which felt kinda weird, there was like up to 10 people watching us go and one of them a small white girl with pony tails and dressed like a harajuku girl came up right behind me and almost scared me when I turned around to hit the last step to the game. She was praising us on our skills and asking for pointers. And another girl just sat behind us and cheering us on. I had a pretty good time and I managed to get my workout for that night.

For the rest of D&Bs, all the arcade games are OK. I think they need to upgrade this place and get some bigger arcade games in here. Back in Cali this D&Bs I went to had this jet fighter simulator where you can jump inside the cockpit, when you move the control stick the whole thing moves, side to side, up and down, and you can join with up to 4 other players next to you.

What can I say about Dave & Buster's that hasn't already been said?  Great meal/game combos, happy hour drink specials, private party areas, rooftop bar and games.  A great place for the family to spend time and get lost for hours.

Minus 1-star for the crappy TV setup in the bar area.  There are only TVs on one wall.  If you're sitting on the edge of the bar seating area, there's a low part of the ceiling that can block your view.  If tall people are standing between you and the TV, you can't see a thing until you fly an egg roll at their head.

I'm giving dave and buster's 4 stars because of a few things. But! Let's start with the good stuff.

DnBs is convenient in town. It's a good place to have fun with your friends play games and have some drinks. You definitely want to go during happy hour and 1/2 of games every wednesday till 10PM. Drinks are 1/2 off during happy hour and during the late night specials. As far a food goes the amount of food for the price is pretty good. You get a decent amount for the price you pay.

A few things though. On Wednesday's at the light the roof on fire nights DnBs gets super crowded as the night goes on. If you have some friends then go early, play games and get on the roof before it gets super crowded. The drinks while they're 1/2 off also seem like their 1/2 the size. Or maybe 3/4 the regular size. It's not too bad but you still want to get everything that you pay for.

Overall Dnbs has good value to me.

I ordered a steak salad with the steak cooked medium, and it came out almost rare and cold, although the waiter indicated it is served cold.  Even after cooking it more, the meat itself was too chewy--it had been sliced with the grain.
Will I come back?  Of course.  This is the first time I wasn't happy with my food there, and I appreciate that they tried to correct the problem.  Love those candied pecans!
