LOVE DARQUE TANS!  Especially coming from Bronze Works Tannins now known as At the Beach.  Yeah at the beach at war with them over a stupid contract, literally if you sign with them you are signing away a year or 5 of your life.  They won't let you cancel... try it I dare you.  Also, learn more about their "freeze" policy...  you can freeze your policy anytime for free... however they did not tell me when I signed that you have to continue to pay their monthly dues (mine were $39.99) while you are on freeze and when you quit (which is never and you can't) they will reimburse you.  WHAT?

Any ways, back to Darque Tans, friendly service, clean a bit compact in there but it works.  Always busy (see people are smart and are over At the Beach) no contracts and they actually want you to get tan.  They make you grow with your tan and by this I mean they recommend you move up a bed level every other time or so, so you will actually gradually become tanner.  

I swear, I still owe At the Beach almost $300... for what I ask.

I do not like talk negatively about businesses ever but this is the exception.  I apologize beforehand.

I'm always embarrassed going in their VERY visible front door smack on Speer.  As if someone going 35-45mph is going to look over at the exact time that I am heading into the tanning salon and they will see me.

Let's say this person did see me... It might take them at least two seconds to realize it was me from that distance because they are driving at least 20 feet away.... Despite the low chances, I still put my hood up and waddle into the salon.  The inside is small and a little captive, but I guess it matches the whole S&M theme of being shut naked in an electric pretend sun-box.

Darque is very clean and very bright and you feel that you should be in California.... The front desk attendants are darker than you will ever get, or ever want to be for that matter, and do not sell the services very well.... But I never feel pressured.

Popular tanning salons like this tend to change out their bulbs more than other salons, so be careful.  Nothing is worse then getting a burn on your tush and your shoulder bones.

I don't wear those little playboy stickers that they give you to put on your body while you tan, but I would if they offered little arrows.  ;)

* Star one is for helping me get ready for summer/weddings/or special occasions
** Super tanned star number two is for being a clean salon with good service
*** Mista star three making people embarrassed to go tanning - We should be, it is bad for you!
**** Our final and last star is for burning me when I go tanning for too long... This is always a reminder that tanning is bad for you....

Burnt star number five was peeled because too much sun causes cancer... why sell the cigarettes when we know inhaling will only make you cough later!?
