Before hitting Daphne's, my only Greek food experience was the Mad Greek (on Beach). The Mad Greek was okay, but it was more about the ambiance than the food. Daphne's is quickly becoming an addiction.
My first time, I had just a typical gyro. Not bad. Not great. The second time I had their Spicy Greek Chicken Salad. YUMMM. It was topped with their Fire Feta, which was not too spicy for me, but added a great little kick. My friend had the Vegetarian Plate and I kept staring at it when I thought she wasn't looking. The next day I went back and tried it for myself. Ahh, tender warm pita bread. Perfectly creamy hummus. Lovely light falafel. I wasn't a big fan of the dolmas, but it's possible I just don't like the tartness of it. I'll have to try them somewhere else and compare. But overall: fantastic meal.

I went to the location in Huntington Beach Bella Terra. I ordered the Flame Broiled Gyro Plate. It came with Gyro (meat), salad tossed in an Italian like dressing, rice pilaf, and pita type bread. It was about $10 bucks with a drink. The Gyro (meat) is very tender and flavorful. The tartness of the salad and the rice pilaf complemented the Gyro (meat) very well. Everything was really yummy. This location is very clean as it is still pretty new.

To be honest, I dont remember exactly what I ordered, but it was good!! Looking at all the people ordering, they all looked liked regulars. I would go there again and definetily try something else, well..that is if I could rmember what I ordered. Oh...I do remember my dessert. I ordered Baklava!!! YUMMY!!!
had their kbobs -- pretty decent but small portions. like one kbob with three cubes of meat was is all you get i think. the rice was moist and buttered up but for the price, which was kinda steep, i wasnt that impressed.
