Category: Greek and Mediterranean [Edit]
Neighborhood: SanteeIf you're shopping in or around the shopping center, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant.
The food arrived quickly, and the pita was warm and fresh tasting. The hummus wasn't as good as you'd find elsewhere, but not bad, and the rice was surprisingly good for a "fast food" type restaurant.

I went on a Saturday late afternoon and it was pretty empty. This was my first time at any Daphne's and I thought it was pretty good. Now I'm not a great connoisseur of Greek food, but....I would definitely go back. I had the Greek salad with falafel (crispy on the outside, soft on the inside). My husband had a beef gyro combo with salad and fries. I like the fact that though it is fast food, they have real silverware set at all tables and bring your food out on a plate (even if it IS plastic haha) and bus your tables for you.
You know...it is what it is...fast greek food. This location is decent. I agree with Cheryl H...nothing amazing but nothing terrible either. Their chicken can be on the dry side, the fries are a toss up (sometimes great other times soggy or burnt) and it is a bit pricey for fast food. The staff is usually pretty nice.

I am a big fan of Daphne's in La Jolla so I thought we would try here for dinner tonight. It wasnt quite the same experience that I expected, but still ok. This was a Friday night but they only had a few people working. They handled it ok and the food was ok. Nothing amazingly great but not terrible. We got in right before a rush so seating was ok for us but got full quickly. People were filling up the line but seemed to go through fairly quickly. It was just average but the staff was pleasant.
