Dan's Hamburgers - Buda

Give this place a 5 stars! First time trying it and wanted something different from the corporate burger chains surrounding this hidden diamond. The service was great, respectful and courteous. Ordered the double meat burger and added cheese and jalapeños and bacon! With small fries and onion rings to try. The burger was .25lb and was packed good. Good amount of jalapenos. Spread across the burger not placed in the center like other places. The cheese tasted great. The meat was cooked to perfection. Onion rings were fried well. The batter had a great taste to it also. The fries were plain, no seasonings but nothing ketchup w a lil salt can't fix. I'm glad I found this place. Will definitely look for it when I'm visiting Austin.

REALLY REALLY good for a quick unhealthy bite. Great ranch, great rings, and a great vibe. Opened funky hours but be sure to get here before they close. We will be back

I finally tried the historic Dan's while enjoying my day off. My first mistake, I should have eaten inside the dining room because the burger that I ordered wasn't meant to be eaten with one hand while driving. I was in traffic on the interstate, and it got messy really quickly. Otherwise, the burger was good, and I see why they are beloved in Austin. The fries were very good. i will revisit them and will eat inside to get the best experience and will also go to the original store.
Finally, they are iconic and very Austin so you must give them a try! Bon Appetite!

For counter service, Dan's was great. Friendly folk taking and serving orders. The Onion Rings looked great - nice and thick with crunchy batter. But there was a gap between the dried/shrunken onion and the batter. AKA more batter than onion and lousy little dried onion, not moist at all. the burgers were fine. the buns were quite good. But you know, the food must all be good to get better ratings. The room was comfortable with several seating options. Best wishes, Dan.

Needing to take a lunch break, I was told about Dan's Hamburgers by a friend.
I gave it a try and I'm really glad I did.
First thing I noticed, it looked like an old Diner.
The lady that took my order said she has worked at Dan's for 25 years!
The menu is just large enough for you to get what you want.
I was told to get the double cheeseburger, so I did.
Man!!
This burger is something like your grandmother would have fixed for you.

They even serve breakfast, and I hear it's a place that needs to be tried.

So I actually wanted to eat at whataburger next door, but they had cones blocking the entrance. So I saw how long the line was for Dan's at 6am in the morning. I assumed it must be good if that many people are waiting in line at the drive thru!

I waited about 20 mins and it was worth the wait!! It was so good and everything was fresh and made to order!! It was affordable and definitely not overpriced!

I loved everything and my taco was very full and flavorful! I'm so happy to find this hidden gem! I will definitely be back!!

My regular size jalapeño cheeseburger was delicious. I paired it with a side of onion rings.
Restaurant staff was attentive, fast service inside, & many seating options available. The only issues were the women's restroom wasn't clean & there was a delay when it came to making my milkshake.

Go inside for their breakfast tacos and trust me you only need two. They are filled perfectly and I have always had great service here. Their drive through gets busy in the mornings for their tacos but I like to go in to eat mine.

Surprisely good! Especially the curly fires! Hot and crispy! The lady who took our order at front was very nice and very patient! Definitely love the 50s environment! The down part is the fries came with the chicken tender Jr basket was soggy and lukewarm and ketchup on the table was almost empty, tried to switch with other 4 tables and only one table with half bottle full of ketchup.
