Some people say does good chinese food exist in New York, I say it does or it did.  This place made some really good unique type dishes but now they are CLOSED.. I was like W-T-F, this place is CLOSED, I passed by about two weeks ago.
-This was a neighborhood place that was really huge but kind of out of the way to get to unless you had a car.  It also had an ATRIUM upstairs that had Japanese food ( I WAS only there once, but it was great).
-Some of my favorite dshes to order here were House special Lo Mein ( small was $4.95), General Tso's Chicken ($9.95 Large)...Also Szechuan Beef ( $9.95 only one size) or sometimes I would order Barbecued Spare Ribs combination plates with fried rice (so good) and egg roll for $ 8.95. Fried rice here was also made kind of uniquely.  I liked it.
-This place will be missed,  I personally have not lived in this neighborhood that long but I did visit the place sort of alot while I would visit family here.  I passed by to see the sign that said close and it mentioned that for 33 or 35 years the place has been a server of the community. I guess with the economy the way it is the rent for such a large place must have been ridiculous. Also, to be honest, last time I passed by and ordered on a saturday maybe 3 months ago, it was very empty, I mean VERY EMPTY.. Sat night and only one couple dining upstairs in the sushi part, then 1 other couple like me getting take-out downstairs and maybe 1 person at the bar getting drinks possibly after eating there, I am not sure. Sorry to see it go.
-CLOSED- at some point within the last two months.

I went here once over the summer.  I have to say it was like stepping into a time warp.  I feel bad to say it, but I really felt like I stepped back into the 80's.  We didn't eat in, but when we entered the first floor was desolate, completely empty.  Finally someone popped up, and sent us upstairs for the sushi, there were a handful of people there, and we waited a bit for the sushi.  The food was not awesome, but it was decent.  Defiantly was not the best sushi that I've had by far.
Then I felt really bad when a friend of mine said that he worked there when he was younger, and that the owner was nice.  I felt bad to not like this place so much.  Over all, I probably would not revisit, since there are several other sushi joints where you can get some pretty decent sushi around.  Could be good for a party or large group if you are there for the good time and not so much the food.

There is a private parking lot, but there are like 6 spots,so you are better off looking for street parking.
Wheelchair accessible? yeppers.  there is an elevator i believe.

Danny's Szechuan Garden is a huge, two floor restaurant in the middle of nowhere. The top floor offers Japanese and hibachi dishes while the first floor serves up traditional Chinese fare. The food is a bit overpriced, but very tasty. Anything with scallops is a good choice from their menu, since they always give you an abundant amount. The owners are very friendly and do their best to make you feel welcome.

I can't really rate their top floor, or any of the hibachi dishes because I've never been up there. But the food I have had there was solid, although not mind blowing. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to get to this place. But, they do have a full bar which is always a plus.

The food is awesome! I come all the way from Nassau County, and it's well worth the trip. The eggrolls are fabulous, and the roast pork fried rice is delicious. Danny is so friendly; he greets each customer personally. They expanded the dining room upstairs, so each guest has a beautiful view, and the traditional decor transports you to the Orient. Their website is cool, too. Definitely come check it out.

Since Danny's publicize itself as a SzeChuan place I feel it should at least try to serve decent Szechuan food. I found the menu (and cooking) no different from those 'fast food' Chinese restaurants and honestly very overpriced. NOT authentic at all!
Ambience was decent/ better decorated than the average restaurant.
Danny himself was rude when he thought we were asking for a take out menu while dining in- in actual fact we wanted to have a few stuff to-go AFTER we were done with dinner. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

My favorite Hibachi place.  I come here every couple of months.  The first floor is Chinese food ( never had it ).  The second floor is Japanese and Hibachi.  The place is pretty big.  Seating is spacious.  The staff is very polite.  The food (at the hibachi table) is delicious, moderately priced, and the portions are HUGE.  Great place to bring a crowd, children ( they'll love the chef's entertainment while he cooks).  Hands down a winner.  I plan on going again this week .

The food was pretty good. A victim of horrible pricing though. Beware of the added on $9.00 per person tip that seems to be justified simply by "because we must pay our workers". Also, make sure there is suffice enough food because if not, Danny Szechuan suggests you should just "leave" if you don't like what they offer. Good food, horrible horrible service.
