The best place in the city for sledding. I used to take my saucer down the slopes and try to run other kids off the "road".
It's also FUCKING GINORMOUS! And right in the middle of the city. Well, the south end of the city. Where well-to-do white people are usually scared to go. Yeah I said it; and I'm referring to you.
I also hear it's pretty good for hiding bodies...

Ah, the Dan Ryan woods. Riding bikes through, in and around the area. A popular hangout for drunken high schoolers and eighth graders alike. A very scenic place to hike around, bike around or picnic.
I love it for the giant hill. Snow covered, it's one of the best sledding sites ever (see my picture? Do I look like I'm having a bad time?). Grass covered, it's fun to ride your bike down.
There is that lingering threat of wild dogs attacking joggers, but... Meh. It's well worth it.
