I tend to go through phases when it comes to restaurants, going ALL the time til I'm sick of it, and with Damon's, I haven't gotten sick of it since I started going a year and a half ago. My boyfriend and I are regulars, along with the over 80 crowd haha! We come about once a week, and almost always order the same thing, the cheeseburgers!
I went last night with my mom, and had one of the younger servers, she was NOT so great. She was busy, but it took forever to get my iced tea, and after a long day thats what I want quickly.

With my cheeseburger, my appetizer was the soup, the beef vegetable. SO good for dipping the house bread in! Pure comfort! The burgers are always juicy, and I always get the rice with it. The restuffed potatoes are really good too!
The waitresses are slow and sometimes cranky, sometimes hilarious, and the ambience is kitschy Hawaiian! I love it here! For ten bucks, a burger, side and soup or salad, doesnt get any better! Will be back again soon!

I came to Damon's to celebrate a special occasion but our experience here was not very special.  For one, and this could be just one of those rare instances, the place was unexpectedly busy and understaffed on a Wednesday night. Service was extremely slow and lacking. We had to wait 15 minutes after the end of our meal for our waitress to come back, and my water was often empty. It was ridiculous and, as a former waiter, I'm usually tolerant. I certainly hope that's not a normal experience here.

I could have overlooked that if the steak was any good, but it was totally bland and full of fat. I could have a bought a $3 steak at the grocery store and it would have tasted the same. The salad, garlic bread, and baked potato were all good though. Killer chocolate cake was decent, but not killer (except in size).

Considering this is a steak house and the steak here sucks, I say don't bother.

Food + ambiance = good experience.

Worth checking out.

Very "old school" 1960's decor...go here and step back in time - the kind of place/experience I like best....take me away from the hustle and bustle of my present day and throw me back in time and throw me a good steak and I am a happy camper.

Grace and I went here because I love steak. Grace does too because she always tends to order what I order much to my chagrin.  Anyway, this place was near the pad and we decided to check it out.

Ambiance:  It's dark in here.  I mean is it romantic, maybe...or maybe you don't really want to see who's in front of you...that's cool too I'm not here to judge.  Anyway, it's dark and it's Hawaiian.  It's a weird combo but you're there to eat so I'll give it a pass.

Food:  I ordered the Calamari.  It's ok but I've had better elswhere.  I had the Garlic Parmesean Potato chips...now this I loved...I have a weakness for these fresh chips entrees....It's on the menu anywhere, consider it ordered.  I ordered the Fish and chips.  Total downer.  Not my type of batter.  But the fries were fantastic.  Grace-face ordered the Rib eye.  She stole my order but that's ok.  I tried it and it didn't quite grab me because I'm not used to blackened.  I enjoy Flemmings type steak.

Overall:  Regardless of my misgivings, I enjoyed eating here.  The bad and good balanced out.  So I gave it 3 stars.  I would return and maybe try something else and order those chips again.  Oh, these two hot chicks promoting some alcohol rolled up to our table.  That's always a plus.  Maybe not for Grace, but this is my review so it's one for the positive column.

I have been coming to Damon's with my family since I was in diapers.  Since then, the only thing that has really changed is that I am no longer in said diapers.

Great steak (the tenderloin is think and juicy), the Mai Tai's are terrific, however the one thing that stands out above everything else is their House Salad.

I'm not sure what sort of addictive agents they put into the dressing but I could eat this salad for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  I mean, when I go here with my family we have thumb wars on who gets to wipe down the bowl with a piece of bread, no joke (kinda wish it was =p).

Anyway if you are looking for a place to get a good steak in Glendale, then you should consider Damon's

I use to come here quite often when when I had a reason to come to the "valley"

Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary and I decided to have a fun day and it started with Damon's.

The place is Tiki themed and has been mentioned in many Tiki books.  It is a steakhouse but it's kind of old school steak house not a Flemings if you know what I mean.

I never had a steak here I always had something else including hamburgers which are REALLY good but since I don't eat meat any longer I had a veggie burger which was really good.  I thought it tasted just like hamburger but when my husband tried it he said it tasted nothing like meat...I guess I have already forgot what meat tastes like but it was good.

Oh and I love their salad with that crack dressing tossed in.  It looks like thousand island dressing but more vinegary.

The place is dark and is always packed day and night.

My husband asked me why I wanted to go to Damon's (he had never been before) and I really don't have an answer other than I miss Damons.  BTW they are known for their Mai Tais...very strong but we had ice teas.

Next stop on our day the LA Zoo.

Bartenders who know how to manage a bar! Yeah. Mai Tai are 2 kinds of rum and OJ/concoction; Chi Chi's are 2 kinds of rum and coconut concoction - either way - only have 2 - once you head into the 3 or 4 territory your plowed. Do us all a favor and get a cab!
Food is fine - steak is good - this place has had the same chefs for years they know their way around a tenderloin. The potato, house salads, steak fries, onion rings and garlic bread are what the legend of Damon's is all about. All the soups are made from scratch and good.

I do prefer Damon's for the bar and the drinks over the steaks - for a good steak in the area I have to say Taylor's wins! Damon's has been raising prices consistently for a few years now and they have reached a point for me where the value is lost.

If you haven't dared to dine in this dark tacky establishment - quite wasting time - have a mai tai and a steak!

It's no secret to anyone that knows me, that Damon's is one of my favorite restaurants in LA. I love the vibe, the people, the chi chis and definitely love the meatage here. Last night I went to town on the rib special they were offering and also shared a New York with my friend who's comment was, "Hands down, this is the best steak I've ever had."

Now, a little bit about my friend...

She is a meat fiend. She likes her steaks black and blue and Damon's nailed it! The outside was nice and charred and the inside was a perfect rare, warmed up offering from the Meat Gods.

I tell ya, Damon's just continues to hit home runs with me and if you haven't been yet, I wonder what the hell is keeping you! :)

I scrolled down this page - 5 stars, 5 stars, 4 stars... Hmmm. I think I will be the party pooper here with my 3-star rating.

BF and I decided to dine here only because we arrived at the wrong movie session (in Glendale) and had lots of time to kill.  We didn't know where else to go except for this "Tiki Steakhouse" that we'd both heard of, many times.

First thing we both noticed -  there are only 2 cocktails on the menu - Mai Tais or Chi Chis. When our drinks arrived, I took one sip of mine and exclaimed to BF: "This isn't a Chi Chi!!!  I can taste pineapple juice but it's nothing like the chi chis at Trader Vics or Tiki Ti".

BF sipped his drink: "Mine isn't a Mai Tai either. It has lots of orange juice in it."

Well, $6 each. Why should we complain? I got drunk anyway, ha!

For dinner, BF ordered the prime rib steak; and I had fish and chips. Both meals came with either soup or salad. And the salad was in a giant bowl with enough in it for 4 people. I think Damon's is one of those homey big-family type restaurants where quantity rules over quality. (Another example: Palermo on Vermont) There is SO MUCH FOOD that you can't help but be impressed on some level. When your doggie bag has enough in it to feed your doggie for two whole meals, that's saying something.

Damon's DOUBLE-BAKED POTATO was interesting. It resembles "mashed potato" inside a baked potato skin. We think they bake the potato first, then mash it, then stick it back in the skin and bake it again. It's very good, and like everything else they serve here - HUGE.

Damon's Steakhouse is no Musso & Franks or Colombo's and the cocktails are kinda funky, but it's hard not to like this place. Nice vibe and the waiters are super friendly.

I probably walked by Damon's over a dozen times before I realized it was there. When you walk in the place seems dark and tropical. Whenever I come here I think of the fear and loathing in Las Vegas character played by Johnny deep (I don't know why). It's the type of place where you see people getting drunk at lunch and a working lunch being had at the same time just a few feet away.

They have a great lunch menu the burgers and sandwiches are very good. Once a week they have a chicken fried steak special. This is the best chicken fired steak I have ever had and the standard by which I will judge future chicken fried steaks.

They have a full bar but I suggest something tropical the mai tai's seem to be the most popular drink of choice and they are strong.

Disclaimer: My review is based off of one drink and a seat at the bar - no food.

If you are a tiki enthusiast then you might have heard about this place like we have either on the internet or through a tiki book or two. Being a tiki fan and wanting to someday hit everyplace in town - we sometimes get the urge to go on a Mai Tai quest and Damon's was just that - a Mai Tai tasting one afternoon for us.

When you walk into this place - it has what it takes to transport you to a tropical setting away from the busy street outside. Dark inside, no windows, tropical flair everywhere, Hawaiian music in the background - they defiantly have the Hawaiian theme going on.

We sat down at the bar (bartender very nice) and ordered up two Mai Tai's. As mentioned above this is not my first Mai Tai and I have come to expect a little something when it comes to enjoying a true Mai Tai. This was not it!

My favorite Mai Tai is from Trader Vic's, which does set the bar high but Damon's Mai Tai was on the other side of the spectrum for me. To be fair if Hawaiian Mai Tai is what this is vs. perhaps a Polynesian Mai Tai - noted but still not good.  All light rum - cheap light rum, orange and pineapple juice topped with a cherry/ pineapple wedge on a toothpick that had been sitting out for hours. This is the type of Mai Tai that gives Mai Tai's a bad name and make you quiver a little at the thought of drinking one. I had a hard time drinking this one down.

The establishment defiantly has the feel and smell of being their for a long time. The mildew smell from the carpet was a little overwhelming and the florescent lights around the bar take you out of the Hawaiian vibe a little.

This place has been here for years so they are doing something right but it ain't the Mai Tai!

I was attracted to this restaurant after reading a review in the Daily News.  I ordered the Ribeye and my wife ordered the Sea Bass.  The server said that the Sea Bass isn't on the menu because it is so expensive.  They shouldn't even carry it.  It was so dry that we sent it back.  My Ribeye was good, but I've had better for the same price.

The service was great and the server made it right by not charging for the Sea Bass and an appetizer.  We had Calamari which was just OK.

I don't know what attracts people to Damon's other than the Hawaiian motif and the friendly atmosphere.

I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.  There are too many restaurants out there that are much better.

Damons has been around forever - its first location I remember was rather stark with Polynesian bits and paintings set about (but actually part of the "charm"), and the food worth it.... Moved to current location on Brand and they kept the Polynesian theme - just souped it up a couple notches - and it's super funky (think over the top Hawaiian decor) but don't be dissuaded, most important the food is reliably really good.

You'll probably have to wait a bit, always crowded, but don't overdo on the Mai Tais or Chi Chis while waiting!!!!! They are delicious AND super strong - if you want to enjoy and remember dinner go easy - will slay you real fast!

The food is consistently good! Have had many of the entrees - usually beef since it IS a steakhouse and they are delicious - and what really makes them special is the awesome house salad and stuffed potato sides (These are a must have).

The Killer Chocolate Cake is just that - really killer - although it usually takes a couple of us to finish it cause its also huge.

Overall, the place is busy, fun, and a very pleasant dining experience. A nice surprise to find in the middle of Glendale too...

I absolutely love Damons - the staff is wonderful, the food good and a screaming deal to boot!! If you love old school style with a tiki vibe, this is the place for you. Great stiff polynesian cocktails that will knock your socks off!

Oh and i almost forgot, the twice baked cheesy potato.. did i mention its cheesy and twice baked? Yes, it's true and it's yum!

The steaks are good, not super fancy or high end but a great deal for the price. The house salad here is the only one besides Lawry's that i will eat beets in - and they manage to make them taste good!

Good times with friends are in abundance here at Damons!!

Great little steakhouse.  Definitely not an old elegant and classy place, but more fun, and with a bit of a Hawaii or pirate feel.  I tried both the chi chi and the mai tai, and both were delicious (as well as strong).  The service was friendly, though a bit slow, and the food was pretty good.

We got the garlic bread as an appetizer, which I found a bit underwhelming, but still warm and garlicy.  Then I got the Rib Eye Steak, which comes with a choice of soup or salad (I got the salad) a side of fries, twice baked potato (which I got), vegetables, or something else.  The salad was very fresh with a great salad dressing.  The potato was HUGE, and very fluffy without being too buttery.  The steak itself was topped with a bunch of fried onions (which were really unhealthy but also really tasty) and with a gravy-like dipping sauce.  The steak was cooked really well, and had a good meat-fat ratio.

Overall, I found the place a bit cheesy, a bit pricey, and nothing incredible.  But it was a good time, with a good crowd, and worth a repeat

It's funny how one's tastes change over time.

I have spent dozens and dozens of occasions enjoying a Mai Tai or a Chi Chi at Damon's, then happily sitting down to eat their signature simple green salad, potato and a steak.

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to go back again and have dinner.  Remembering the infamous Chi Chis, I decided to jump in and relive the past.  It was super, super sweet!  Cloying ...

Damon's routine is a communal steel bowl of plain green salad brought to the table and mixed by the server.  After it is served, the remaining salad is left at the table for seconds.  Dinners come with a twice baked potato.  I always ordered the steak, a petite filet or a filet mignon.  No surprises.

This time I ordered the ribeye which was terrible.  The reason was that they rub the ribeye with some sort of very SALTY reddish seasoning, cover it with massive amounts of thin onion rings and a questionable sauce.  For the first time in ordering at Damon's the steak was a complete write off ... the twice baked potato was no better than its frozen counterpart.

Lessons learned:  Avoid the Polynesian drinks, order standard bar fare and call your brand.  Avoid the ribeye.

Again, it's funny how one's tastes change over time.

I went here last night for Dining Out for Life. It was my first time here and I hope it's not my last. Had no idea that this was a tiki place judging by its name and what a nice surprise.

The Mai Tai I had, granted it was complimentary thanks to Yelp, but it was kickass stroonnnng! I also loved the fact that the mai tais and chi chis only cost $7! I need to come back to try their other cocktails like the lava flow and that banana chocolate one.

For dinner I had the cheeseburger which was sooo juicy and tender. I couldn't stop mmmming as I wolfed it down. The thick cut fries were just OK, though. Could have used some seasoning.

As for the service, the bartender was so attentive! Again, don't know if this was because I was there for a Yelp event. But he made sure that I never had an empty glass.

And Helen our server is so cute and dear and helpful. I seriously felt bad that we didn't take the garlic bread home after she had carefully wrapped it up for us. I'm sorry, Helen!

In my mind, I was being fun. But in reality, I was clearly making a fool of myself to the whole place.

By "place", I mean Damon's, and by "I", I mean my drunken ass at a company anniversary party last year. Before the company party, I had been here once for dinner since someone gave me a gift card for something like $25. Is it just me or does using a gift card at a restaurant make you feel awkward?? It's like the reverse feeling of whipping out a black Amex card.

The place is really dark, Hawaiian themed, and full of old people, but suprisingly, their food is really good. It's definitely a step up from Sizzler, but not as good as __________ (fill in blank for high end steakhouse). Their steaks and seafood dishes are flavored and cooked pretty well. The potato skins and calamari appetizers are good too. And the old waitresses are sweet as can be. And if you're going to have their famous mai-tai's, please, for the love of god, have only one glass. They're suprisingly strong, but deliciously sweet--next thing you know, you can't stop giggling.

Best filet and Mai Tai's here at Damons this month.  As a long time customer, I remember what use to be.

Some disappointing aspects to our dinner:  Garlic bread use to be way better along with the twice baked potato.  The garlic bread was dry, like old bread, and the twice baked was not very hot and didn't have a toasted top layer like years ago.

Even with all said, Damons gets a 4 star because the steaks are to die for.

Recommendations to the Owner:  Pay attention to the smaller details as your customers have a memory of what use to be.

Next time I will ask if i can have an extra MaiTai in place of the bread and potato!!!

kitchy old school steakhouse. waitresses have all worked there forever. i've been going here since i was an embryo. the steaks are ok. the salad i love because it's got beets & the dressing is tangy. it's no fancy salad tho. iceberg, beets, celery. but still i love the stuff.

i have to say the place has gone downhill they've added a few not so good items to the menu: coconut shrimp was waaaaaay too coated in coconut & burnt. it was terrible. probably the worst thing i've tried there. i forget what else they added, but it was no good. stick to the basics. the steak, burger, fish.

pros: kitchy fun atmosphere (tho i think they've removed some monkeys  :( boo! bring them back! decent food, good for big parties

cons: bad new menu items, quality has slipped a little since ownership has turned

i would have given this place 4 stars years ago, but i can't today :( sorry

I've been here a few times and must admit the 2 mai tai's at the bar before the meal are my favorite part. I prefer to park in the lot behind the place and come in from the rear. If you come in from the Brand Blvd entrance you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the place that seats you.
60's decor and mostly older wait staff. Can't say I've had a bad meal there or had a memorable one. Perhaps a little over priced for what it is.
It's a Glendale landmark and the Polynesian drinks are probably better than you'll find in Hawaii.

On a late Sunday evening, we were driving around debating where to eat.  Should we go to Houston's or Outback?  It was a tough call.  I even suggested Sizzler, yes, Sizzler.  Finally we remembered Damon's.  It's not too far out and pretty close to the 2 Freeway.  Three stars goes to the hot hostess.  She's got to be in her sixties  but man oh man, she has some class and style.  The Mahi Mahi steaks were bigger portioned then what I usually have had, and the Mai Tai's were legit.  Nice, tasty, strong.  Parking was easy, yet costs a couple bucks.  And the kicker, they're conveniently located not far from where I live.

Reasonably priced for food and drinks of decent quality.  My ribeye was a bit overdone.  The sauce, served on the side, appeared to be butter-based and congealed quickly.  The onion rings, served on top, were unnecessary.  I tried the petite filet as well.  Also overcooked.

Sides: The garlic bread side had nice flavor but was a little chewy in texture.  The salad consisted of three ingredients: lettuce, shoestringed beets, and a nice house dressing.  I wouldn't mind seeing some cucumbers or tomato in there.  Who would be harmed?

The drinks, while strong, taste like they are made with low-quality juices.  They are a bit syrupy.

1.5 stars to be exact, but I'll be nice and round up.

best word to describe this restaurant: OVERRATED!

The fam bam and I decided to check this place out after a huge article in the LA Times featuring this steak house.

Appetizers:

calamari: nice presentation, BUT it lacked taste. It was bland and the squid was rubbery. The dipping sauce looked like aoli, but it was actually bland thousand island dressing.

side of portobello mushrooms: the only dish I actually appreciated. Two large portobello mushrooms topped with a sauce I couldn't quite make of----but it was reallly good.

side of grilled asparagus w/ parmesan: It was 'ok'. I didn't taste parmesan whatsoever.

MY order:

Blacked Ribeye: I ordered it medium, but it came out medium well. TOO well! The fatty part of the steak was pretty much the only thing I ate. I chose the rice pilaf as a side. Boy, did I chose the WRONG side. Do yourself a favor and skip the rice pilaf!!!! I also got the meatball soup----mainly because I was craving meatballs after watching ((Meatballs : Throwdown with Bobby Flay : Food Network)). Another WRONG choice! There goes my dinner!  Luckily, I went with the perfect eating partners! We do it FAMILY STYLE! ('',)

here are the other dishes I got to try:

- prime rib: ehhh--i've had better. It wasn't good, yet it wasn't bad.
- "famous" house salad: the mix greens didn't taste fresh and it was warm. yuck.
- clam chowder: not good, not bad.
- grilled mahi mahi: bland.
- grilled halibut: It's not on their menu and now I could understand why----it's overpriced and it sucked! Good thing, we had it sent back because I would've left pissed for mama C's rough and very dry $28 meal!
- double baked potatoes: mixture of mashed potato and baked potato. Again, it wasn't good, yet it wasn't bad either.

SERVICE:
Not only was the 'market priced' halibut disgusting, but by the time everyone was done with our meals---mama C didn't even receive her replaced meal yet! yiiiiiiikes! Good thing, they did the 'right thing' by offering us a complimentary dessert (which we didn't even bother ordering) and also  knocking off the appetizer from our bill. Dinner sucked, BUT I do praise them for making the effort of not having us leave completely unhappy. They did all they could to fix their fault and for that I give them an 'A' for service! ('',)

Bottomline: We all agreed that this place is "OVERRATED" and we will NOT be returning.

wow, i can't believe I just wrote all that for a 2 stars restaurant! go figure.

If I'm gonna pay $20-$30 for steak, I don't want it to be in a place that reminds me of a Hawaiian themed Dennys.  The food was ok, but didn't warrant the price tag.  Next!

I'll start by saying that I have only been here two times.  The first time our group enjoyed our food and waiter and found the place to be old school and fun tacky, but we all agreed that we liked it.  The drinks are priced right.  Our second visit was again acceptable, but this time we had roaches.  It really changed our mind about returning.  These things happen, but  I won't be going back.

My hidden little old school tacky-tiki paradise.  This is my family's favorite steak house.  One of us always gets the prime rib and another the ribeye with that luscious blue cheese peppercorn sauce.  We all love the house salad and none of us even like French dressing? or beets.  It just works.  You get a wonderful twice baked potato, but who can see it under the fabulous side o' cow cook exactly to order.

The wait staff is friendly and attentive without hovering.  Some have been there for years so the place always seems familiar.

It's funny.  Some reviewer here went to Damon's and asked for a margarita.  At Damon's you get either a mai tai or a chi chi.  Have more than two and even the most experienced of us might have trouble getting up.  It's just better to get things the house is famous for.

Damon's is a steakhouse, but you don't come here for the steak.

You come here for kitschy tiki-tastic decor and oversized fish tanks.  You come here for friendly and experienced waitstaff who toss the house salad table side and the hunky bartenders who pour the mai tais and chi chis with a heavy hand. It's family time here, some folks have been around as long as the tacky carpeting. I work up the street and I can't seem to stay away from this place...

Come to Damon's expecting to be well taken care of, just order a burger and fries, super hot and fresh, and you will not be disappointed.

My all time favorite place to eat and have some drinks.
The staff is wonderful, the drinks (chi chi's) are awesome and the food is great. If you've never tried their cheeseburger your missing out. IMO it's one of the tastiest around.

How come no one ever tells me these things? Should have just told me straight up on the translation of "chi chi".

Before we get to that, I had wonderful time last year at an Elite Event that was held at Damon's Steakhouse. Even thought the place is steakhouse, they are probably have a festive full bar out in the back that serves their Mai Tai drinks and the infamous Chi Chi.

This place just looked like it belong to a Hawaiian Luau. Very decorative in terms of tiki lifestyle around the place. I sort of dig this kind of vibe if I'm on vacation, but to bring it out to a forefront in a restaurant? It works if it was a themed restaurant, maybe this can pulled it off.

The food here wasn't all that bad. I think it's a few notch above a Norm's or other family style steak place. The price is somewhat pricey on the higher end price. If I had to choose, I would probably take Clearman N' Steins steaks over this place, but definitely over Outback Steakhouse in terms of quality of the steak meal.

I still would come here for their steaks, but I would have to have some of their drinks from the bar to go along with the meal to make it a complete luau experience.

The big catch coming here is to get their weird concoctions of Mai Tai and Chi Chi. I had a very good time at one instance after the Elite party where I took one of my friend to get a Chi Chi. He sort of snickered at me about the name.

Well, wouldn't you know it that this conversation was brought up again as someone was telling me he lived at Glendale. I innocently brought up Damon's Steakhouse and their popular Chi Chi. Everyone was just bawling on the floor laughing at me and I didn't have a clue.

I didn't know until someone show me the #3 version of the Spanish Slang for Chi Chi http://www.urbandictio... .

Yes, I like boobs and I definitely drink chi chi.
-----------
ps. According to Ed-to the M.'s reviews, chicks dig me at the elite party. Ed, if you have their numbers, please pass it along to me.

How can I put this nicely, this place sucks. Ok, I tried. Sorry. The food was cold when they brought it to our table, the service was mediocre, and the price was high. No thanks to the decor and the senior citizen special. No offense.

But on the bright side, they really know how to make a margarita??? Although it tasted good, I was a little confused. I thought I asked for an alcoholic drink, not lemonade?!

Whatever, skip - NEXT please!

I've never had such an awkward shaped steak.  I had the filet mignon cut which was shaped like a triangular pyramid.  It was somewhat pointy at the top, which left the middle as rare as possible.  I like rare but this was just a little too rare for my taste.  Otherwise it taste like any other steak, nothing special.  The salad was a joke.  I ordered a side of tomatoes, that was rather different as it was a sliced tomato.

This place is cute.  Really.  Its got that 90s vibe that i love!  For example, i could totally see the Bundys from married with children come here for a dinner.  Haha, i havent yet tried their food, but i hear its good.  I came for some drinks at the bar, where the service is friendly and witty, a real barkeep, and they pour heavy.  The crowd is so fun too.  Old school, corporate types, out to have a few drinks after work.  I love that they have real down to earth places like this still out here.
will be back!

Came here for Father's Day.

I called twice to make a reservation, but it turns out that they don't even have me on the list!  Luckily the waitress was nice enough to let us cut through the wait list for the mistake.

I had Petite Filet and my dad had the 15 o.z. Prime Rib medium rare, which were both really tender and juicy to my surprise.  Especially the Prime Rib was probably 2-inch thick and 4-inch long.  Along with the dipping sauce this is like a killer dish.  Mine was good also except I wish they can offer some gravy other than A1.

My mom and brother had Grilled Salmon and Damon's Cheeseburger, which to my standard were juicy and good in general, but nothing too special.

The Killer Cake was huge and moist, not too sweet to my surprise.

Some people pointed out the decor was a bit out of date, but I actually thought it was quite well-designed (except the fish tank with white light) to give a homey, comforting feeling that goes well together with the hearty meal.

Chi chis.

Mai tais.

They're all right here.  Not the best.  Not the worst though.

As for the food.  I'm going to pass.  The salad dressing is probably the strangest I've had along with the weird 1950s type salad with raisins.  The steak is expensive  and not that tasty. I got medium rare once and it came out too tough.

But I love the decor and I think the wait staff are all dolls.

I might actually be convinced to booze it up at the tiki-themed bar but after I've eaten elsewhere down the street.
