I guess for La Crescenta it's pretty decent.  I don't really have anything to complain about.  I prefer to an overly crowded bar.

One thing we did not appreciate was that they wanted to charge us $10 to come in and sit outside with beers because there was a fight on pay-per-view.  That is really ridiculous, as if we were even going to watch and the fight had already started anyways.

That was pretty lame on Leo's part.

Leo's is my favorite neighborhood spot. My friends and I come here at least once a week to drink, socialize and catch up on gossip. There are daily drink specials and overall the prices are totally reasonable compared to hollywood bars and lounges. It's usually not very crowded on most weeknights, so finding seating and getting served is never an issue. And the bartenders are so great! They're always friendly and hook us up with drinks now that we're regulars :)

During a "festive" Saturday afternoon, on the same day as the Montrose Christmas Parade, every place in town was packed and NOBODY was showing the Cal-Stanford game.  We walked to Leo's and the nice bartender searched long and hard and made sure our game was on for us.

Yummy appetizers, but our waitress was slow.  There were out of Egg Nog to make their Egger Bomber special holiday drink.  They were also out of some appetizer we wanted, but I think we were still grateful overall to find a place that would play our game.

This is a good place to get loud and messy, but not a good place for those who might suffer from stimulation overload.  There are a ton of TVs and some weird trivia game thingie going on.

OVERALL: Fun and functional.

not bad, la crescenta. not bad at all.

had a rough day at work so my friends and i decided to go out for a drink. (a special shout out to eddie k., my partner in crime who's down to drink $2 tequila shots on a tuesday.)

yeah...$2 tequila shots. $2 bottle tecate. $2 tacos cause its TIJUANA TUESDAYS!
the tacos are okay and tecate tastes like water, but the tequila...awesome.

watched the lakers beat the sonics on their huge projector screen covering a wall which was awesome. they also have a lot of other tvs showing different sports games.

it's a fun place for cheap drinks and good times.

I love this place for a few reasons.  Not so much for the karaoke, cuz I have found better spots for that.  The food here is strangely delicious.  Ok, it's ridiculous how good the food is for a sports bar.  They have this Chicken Philly Sandwich that is to die for, the damn thing literally melts in your mouth.  The appetizers are just way amazing, and they have great beer on tap.  Everything is reasonably priced.  There is a pool table, darts, and an outside smoking patio.  Other than the big screen tv, making it a great place to watch a game or a a fight, there are two perks that light up my life, although they might not affect you so much.

#1....They have a Weight Watchers menu on the side giving you the points value of certain dishes.  Now this matters to me because since I quit smoking two months ago, my metabolism kinda took a shit on me, so I am relying heavily on the double dubs to lose that poundage.    Being that I love to eat and drink, going out can be torture, but at Leos I  am at least given that option, so I go straight to that part of the menu, and I am saved.  (Although my eyes can't help but shift over to the Chicken Philly Sandwich and fantasize for a few seconds).

#2....They have this interactive trivia game that you can play at your table.  They have the questions up on tv screens around the bar, and you get a little keypad that you can type your answers in, and play against people in other bars...totally free.  I can be kind of ADD sometimes, not to mention my competitive streak, so that gives me a happy little distraction when I so feel fit.

I minused a star cuz  the only seating available is high tables and barstools, which isn't my fav, due to the fact that nowadays they make all womens jeans so low, that you get plumber cleavage just from standing, let alone sitting on a barstool.  Yeah so only four stars cuz the stools are unflattering to my non-smoker bod.

***udpate*** I went the other day, and they had removed my Weight Watchers menu :-( It was so sad...they said that they only had like 12 orders off that menu in like a year.  BOOOOOOO YOU LEO! I really should take off a star, but the rest of the food there really is delicious....still sad though.....

Karaoke AND good, cheap drinks!  Hard to find.  I went there on a Friday night and the bartender was super cool.  $4 for a good rum and coke!  Not too packed and a good looking crowd.  Plus they had a little karaoke stage set up.  There was this older man there and I'm not lying when I say he NAILED Frank Sinatra.  NAILED.  It was awesome!  My only complaint is that it took way too long for the waitress to come to our table for our drink orders so I suggest going up to the bar if you're like me and hate waiting for a drink.
