This place still doesn't impress me, even with only a 2hour lay over this time.

There are absolutely no worth-while shops or restaurants in this entire place- for some reason they LOVE TGI Fridays, which in my experience sucks big time.

Also, no free wireless. I am currently paying 9.99 for a TMobile Hot Spot day pass, rip off.

Esthetically, the Dallas airport...simply put...is "icky".

I like this airport. It works for me; although I have heard some horror stories about weather delays and missed flights being notorious here. So far, that hasn't happened to me.

So in the meantime, I really enjoy the beautiful mosaic tile designs all over the floors. They are so beautiful; they make me want to come back again only in another terminal the next time so I can see more of them.

Food here is easy to procure and the choices are nice. I love the quick tram rides from terminal to terminal. This place is huge, but they have getting around quickly and easily down to a science.

So this review is as a connecting passenger only. My experiences here have been pretty good for the most part and for now, it's not a connection I try to avoid if I do have to make one.

I'd flow through the Dallas Forth Worth International Airport many times but this was my first time flying out of it and it was a pleasant experience.  The TSA agents were actually very friendly and helpful to everyone in line, and this made the line move extremely fast no long wait for me.

One thing I noticed is they had a nail salon, too bad I had bug bites all over from my feet and calves or I would have had a quick pedi before flying out, my feet needed it and I did have the time.

They have a lot of food options for the weary travelers though I was still stuffed from my Texas BBQ that I didn't plan on eating here but I did need some water.  The shopping was lacking nothing major or exciting at least in terminal A where I was this time.  They did however have a huge 24 hour vending machine where you can get a snack, a drink, tampons, headphones or contact lens solution and have everyone watch and see you make your purchase.

The ladies toilet were just cleaned as I went in so there was no puke or poo smell permeating like a lot of airport restrooms seem to have, this was a good thing, I really hate stinky airport restrooms.

My flight ended up getting delayed for a serious of reasons so I did end up grabbing a bite, like other airports the food items are about 30 - 40% more than outside the airport but when you're hungry you don't really care now do you?

It's pretty much your average airport, I'm sure I'll be flying through it again sometime.

5 stars because the honest people that work here found my $1000 dollar video camera and turned it in lost and found!  Someone could have easily stolen it, seeing that my name was no where on my case.

Besides that, everything was good here.  Lots of restaurants and shops to browse through while waiting for you flight.  Security was fast, which is always good.

Really no complaints here!  I'm just happy to have my camera back!

The one thing that separates this airport from others that I have been to is that the baggage terminal is in the same terminal or really close to the gate where I got off.  So where most airports make you go a long way down to a central baggage claim, this one has baggage claims in each terminal, and amongst the gate areas.

Other than that nothing stands out to me.

TSA REVIEW!!!

So I've heard the horror stories of TSA, but they know how to appreciate a girl who loves her wine.  Let me rephrase that:  they know better than to get between a girl and her wine.

Idiot me, I could have sworn I didn't check my bag and took it with me as a carry-on for my last Napa trip.  So imagine my surprise when they unzipped my carry-on and dug through my undies for my 2 bottles I was bringing my former hot blonde roommate.  These weren't just Ravenswood and Yellow Tail.  Oh no, I had 2 bottles easily worth $100, and one that COULD NOT be replaced without physically going to the winery and obtaining said bottle.

"We can't let you board with these.  You'll have to check the bag."

ME: "The plane leaves in 20 minutes.  I don't have time."

"I'm sorry, we have to throw it away."

ME: "Please, can't you just drink it?"

Apparently, they can't just drink it.  Faced with having my beloved Napa plunder tossed into a landfill, I freaked.  I even....oh gosh, I'm so embarassed....I started crying.  I know.  It's just wine, you say.  Get over it, you say.  I don't think I'd of cried if it hadn't been 5am after only 4 hours of sleep.

Defeated but not yet sobbing (I had the gall to wait until I'd turned away), I headed toward the gate.  TSA guy must have been an alochol fanatic, because he could not bring himself to toss my beloved bottles.  Instead, he followed me up the hall to the gate, where he found me as I stepped out of the bathroom and into the Fuzz's arms, wiping tears from my eyes.

"Look, you may be able to gate-check this.  We'll ask them, but if not, they have to go."

He then escorts us to the gate attendant, who first says no, takes one look at the sobbing mess I'd become, and then says yes.

TSA guy then tagged my bag and escorted us to the plane's door, only leaving when the bag was taken and put directly in cargo.

He deserves many bottles of wine and 4 strapping children who grow up to be world leaders for this.  He did note that I was "lucky you weren't a jerk to us back there."  Which was true.  I half expected myself to morph into bitch mode, but I was too taken by the image of good wine gone to waste to feel anger.  Plus, its not like I didn't see 8,000 "No liquids" signs on the way in.  Not TSA's fault, but I'm so grateful they went the extra mile.

I could never give this airport a bad rating, because:

A.  I feel like I'm at Disney Land every time I ride the people mover.

B.  It's huge but still easy to nagivate!

C.  Love that bright and airy feel!

D.  Off site car rental site is quick and easy.

E.  Okay, I'm really hung up on the people mover!

F.  Many, many good food choices.

Besides, they have never bent or kicked around my luggage and the security lines seem to move very quickly.  Also, I allowed Delta to bump me off my flight a few months ago and I got channeled thru DFW with a long stop over.  No problem, I was easily entertained here.

I'm not particularly fond of this airport.  Mainly because I'm either too dingbatty or too tired to take note of my connecting gate information correctly.  It takes 21 minutes to ride the tram full circle.  So, if you get off at A1-A20 and your gate is A24 you are pretty much screwed 'cause ya gotta ride it all the way around again.  And there's tons of stops for terminals A through E.  Ugh.

Although, I do have to admit.  They have less delays than connecting through ORD.

2)  Visit Taberna de Tequilla.
3)  Hilarity.
4)  Arrive, somehow, inevitably in DFW.

As a road warrior I can say DFW is the best airport in US. DFW is designed for frequent travelers and offers everything you can need when traveling.

The food offer is the best because you will find the right balance between fast food and more elaborated food. In my case I'm a BBQ fan and Dickey's Pit is my destination at terminal A and C. Love th hot links and the brisket plus the service.

The parking at the airport is very good and besides the high passengers traffic, the wait time at the security points is not that bad.

Because is a major entry point when traveling from overseas, DFW has a huge inmigration control facility and the process is fast (including customs). The new terminal (Terminal D) is excellent and the Skylink is fast and reliable

Too BIG, like Texas and its pick up trucks.

The most impressive feature of DFW, is the luggage collection area in terminal 3.  As you step out of your plane, the luggage pick up area is located within steps of the gate.  Outside of the airport in Key West, Florida, I've never seen a more efficient luggage retrieval system, ever.

My only issue is with the car rental facility.  While it is easy to navigate as a user, the multiple buses idle while they wait for passengers.  With such a new, modern facility, DFW designers should have created a tram system to take passengers back to the airport.  While both use energy and the buses are probably cheaper to operate, I find them to be very wasteful.  DFW can take a lessen from SFO (San Francisco) on implementing a people mover system to and from the car rental facility.

I love this airport.  I'm not thrilled that it's in Dallas and so is my mom so I have to use it at least once a year at Christmas, but it does make my travel experience so much better.  Here's why:  it's basically a huge airport made up of a lot of tiny airports.

Each section of each terminal has its own parking lot, airline counter, security area, and baggage claim.  So once you're in the right place, it's very user-friendly and manageable.

I did dock it one star, though, because getting to the right place can be a challenge.  You have to call the airline ahead of time and find out which gate you're flying out of so you know not only which terminal to go to (which should be easy because you already know your airline), but which SECTION of the terminal (based on the gate).  It can be tricky, especially when they change things at the last minute or a flight is purchased through one airline but serviced by another.  But in 12 years of flying in and out of DFW, this has only happened to me once.

The other reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I imagine it may be tough to do layovers at this airport; it doesn't seem all that easy to get from one section to another because of how sprawling it is.  Since I've never had a layover here, this has never been a problem for me.

Lastly, I am not usually impressed by how long it takes to get my baggage (and I always have baggage because it's usually Christmas and I'm toting loot), but the ease of all the rest of it, especially walking my luggage across a small street to the car parked in the tiny parking lot and not in an enormous one where the car gets lost, makes it all worth it.

This airport was built back in the day when people didn't think about close connection times. From the time I got off the plane in Terminal D to the time that I got to Terminal C, about 45 minutes had elapsed. That doesn't sound too bad, but if your plane boards 30 minutes early it kind of sucks. I was the LAST person to board. Now I was coming in on an international flight, and I had to go through customs (although it was completely empty at the time) then get my bags and recheck them (which only took about 8 minutes). The trouble I have is the amount of time and effort it takes to switch terminals. There's a tram that takes you between terminals, but being used to Denver's train, I am a bit spoiled. It felt like I was taken halfway around the city before I got to Terminal C! You can also take a ground shuttle, which is convenient if you happen to come across the shuttle when it is about to arrive. Otherwise you have to wait up to 10 minutes for it.
For such a large and bustling city, this airport is way antiquated. So if you have a connection there, make sure it's on the same airline or give yourself at least an hour-and-a-half layover.

Five Stars for their International Terminal.  Its freaking slick and nice.  It also has chairs w/ not a lot of arm rests, so you can actually lay your head when you are super delayed.  Also, the dining options are at a restaurant level.  Its not just the McDonald's and Chili's options that you can have.  Its a couple different tex-mex places and even a sushi place that looked pretty decent.

So even if you are delayed in another terminal, ride over here to the D Gates and enjoy.  Its time well spent.  And the other bonus..... you can hear accents other than that Texas twang which makes the men even cuter.

Yesterday we flew from Oakland to Norfolk, Virginia w/ a 2 hour stop at DFW.  As we're approaching the area I'm reminding myself that Texas is not defined by George W. Bush, that it produced Ann Richards and Molly Ivins and Jim Hightower and my longtime friend Jay W. so it has its definite merits.  And then, as we got closer I realized we were flying over the Dallas Cowboys stadium and there went my attempt to rehabilitate Texas in my own mind.  Oh well.  DFW is HUGE!  The jetway from the plane is the longest either of us has ever seen.  It is a gigantic airport, w/ a series of greeters (they call them ambassadors) all over the place to offer help and information.  At the end of the jetway  a genial white haired gent directed us to the gate where our next flight would depart.  As we were walking there we were intercepted by a cheerful white haired lady dressed in red, white and blue who looked as if she was at one of the political conventions.  She offered assistance and gave us helpful advice on walking to where we were going as opposed to riding their new rail system.  We had lunch, which I'll review later, and sat at the gate.  I've become sensitized to overhead announcements in airports.  I hate that generic woman w/ the piercing voice who incessantly harangues the crowds at Oakland.  Well, at DFW the announcements are minimal, aside from specific gate announcements, unfortunately delivered by a woman w/ a similarly piercing but less generic voice.  It was a relatively quiet, pleasant experience in a busy airport.

"Can you look up the address for the airport?"  No problemo, I plugged away at the Blackberry and found it easily.  And then discovered American Airlines has a hub here and every terminal seems to feature 'em.  Um...I wonder which terminal is mine?  I decided to take a wild guess and told my friend to drop me off at Terminal C.

Well thank god it was the right one.  The whole place is a freakin' maze.  And they charge for even entering the damn place.  I gave my friend a couple of bucks.  I hope it was enough.

The security sensors are really sensitive.  I haven't had a problem going through with my belt or favorite silver cuff bracelet before but both went off which meant I had to be searched.

Hmm.  Being searched wasn't fun but it wasn't horrible either.  TSA staff were brisk about patting me down three times (is that really necessary?).  Mainly because they knew the sensors went off for the two items.  Good thing I got to the airport 2 hours early.

It's now lunch time and I decided that I needed something to eat as my Luna bar and fruit wasn't going to cut it.  Hmm, walking up and down the terminal, my choices were:

TGIFridays
Chili's
McDonald's
Wendy's
Taco Bell
smoothies
fro yo (even frozen yogurt has invaded Dallas!)

Oh wait, what's this...BBQ?  Dickey's saved my life.  The ribs didn't look good so I went with brisket and sausage.  Maybe I should have went with chicken but that and the ribs had been wrapped up in saran wrap and I was suspicious of it.  The 2-meat combo plate came with sides so I chose green beans and cole slaw.  The slaw was okay but the green beans were just dished out of a vat of watery brown ook.  Uhh, I could have skipped that.  All was made better with a heaping of pepper and jalepenos.

The cashier seemed appreciate of the fact I like it spicy and made it a point to tell me so.

I like how they have both sweetened and unsweetened  iced tea (that's for me!).

Lunch: just under $15 which was kind of pricey but it's the airport and I didn't want Mickey D's or fro yo, yo.

When I first moved to Texas, I cried my eyes out getting lost in this airport.  Reality sunk in, and I was being transferred to a new city.  With the help of my momma, I packed all my stuff and headed for my next new adventure.  Upon landing, I went for the car and she stayed with our bags.  "OH man...I should have never left my mommy," I confessed to the attendant.

But fast forward to the present...and oh my naive ways.  Truly, I felt like such a tourist, and what do you expect...I was.  After learning the ropes, and studying a map, I quickly found out what a smart concept this airport is truly based on.  It's like one long straight road, and then loops on the various terminals. Departures on top and arrivals on the bottom.  WOW..so easy once you get the hang of it!  Definitely big, modern, and more glamorous than my little SJC.

Positives:
DFW serves as the American Airlines hub, and accordingly, they have a "sky track" shuttle to take you from terminal to terminal. Think Disneyland, futuristic shuttle that you could ride around and around if you have time to kill(obviously located in the terminal).

Lots of snacks.  Tgi Friday's, Auntie Anne's, Starbucks, McDonald's...all airport food to begin your bad trip food excursion.

Very bright and fairly easy to maneuver

Flat screen TV's everywhere

Nice attendants driving his or her golf carts asking passengers if they want rides

Lots of souvenir shops selling items saying "don't mess with Texas"

Overall, I have now come to admire the layout of this airport.
Just some tips for those flying to DFW for the first time:
be patient
have one dollar bills for tips
if you get lost, just go upstairs if all fails
eat prior to boarding the plain...chances are you will pick better food
make sure you have GPS in your car!

If all else fails, study this map:

Horrible.   This place is huge and it takes forever to get anywhere.  Considering it's a hub, I would have expected something a lot more efficient.

There is a long ride from the airport to the rental car place.  I swear it's like a 10 minute drive.  Incredible.  It reminded me of Japan, where space is at a premium.

Then, the security line to get to your gate....the folks operating the line must have come from the Jurassic period.  They moved and spoke in slow motion.  I swear it felt like I had just taken 18 Benadryl.

I can't say we weren't warned that it would take a long time to get through and we should arrive early, but this was bad.

I think airports and myself are like oil and water....one is greasy and nasty and the other is pure as virgin snow.  Well, you get my drift.

Huge airport, but crappy and slightly confusing terminals if you are driving!  My friend got lost picking me up..but hey as long as he got there!

I love how when you arrive and proceed to baggage claim, it's literally behind the glass wall and through those rotating doors!  WOW!  no 5 mile treks...so awesome!

but on departure i went through Terminal B only to have the TSA line move at a nonexistent pace b/c senior citizen JOE was taking his good old time GRILLING each "foreign" person.  i saw serveral indian and asian passengers handing over their id's, only to have the man scrutinize every detail and glancing back and forth.  Luckily another TSA employee sped things up by taking ids and checking off boarding passes.  Unlucky me, i got the old man and he took his sweet GEORGIA time looking at my ID!  only good came out of it - he mentioned my pic looked good - PUUAAHHAA.

the waiting areas are small, but luckily they have a mcdonald's and starbucks to keep folks happy.  i did see that ipod kiosk....its crazy!!!!  ooh check out the samsung lounge located next to starbucks - it's totally posh and looks relaxing if you have 1+ hr to kill!

Very tricky to find the right terminal to be at, especially when you have a layover there and have no idea where you are going. Luckily, the people working there are very friendly and informative. Once I found my way, everything was a breeze. And I was impressed that the pretzels at Auntie Anne's Pretzels were cooked fresh at 10 p.m. at night. Such a treat!

Ay young grasshoppah.  Now you understand the ways of the wise traveler.  In the summer, you must fly thru the windy city and in the winter DFW shall be your stepping stone.  Heed my words or be damned to your canceled flights, delays, storms and full body cavity searches.

Been here a couple of times this past year.  Found the terminals easy to navigate and the people mover subway system quick, clean and efficient.  Some gates are definitely newer and cleaner and brighter then others though.  I did get to watch my Steelers on the flat screen TV while plugging in my portable DVD player to charge (though it took some time to find such a coveted location).

What's with vending machines for Ipods, Proactiv, handheld gaming consoles and Sony products?!?  That's just weird!  What if it gets stuck?!  What if I luck out and get 2 ipods for the price of one because I shake and kick the machine?  Alas, I'm too poor to try my luck but it's still cool.  Duty Free options were bleh.

My one beef with you is that it took FOREVER to clear customs ... though maybe that's an isolated incident.  You don't need a process engineer to tell you that 9 agents working the "Non US Resident line" vs 2 agents working the "US Resident" line when the lines are the SAME LENGTH is not efficient.  But thanks for letting me back in the country anyway.

the sheer siz of the airport can make Paul Bunnion pee sitting down.
in the early 90's it was difficult catching connecting flights due to its sheer mass, but now with its updates (has its own mini subway system) it makes it easier.

There is an intelligent design, organization, and layout to this airport.  But it's so poorly executed that it ends up being a chaotic, disorganized mess.  I feel bad for whoever designed DFW--they had a great idea that ended up in the hands of people who are unable to execute and manage the design, so everyone constantly complains about how terrible the airport is laid out.  It's not the layout.  It's the chaos.

Never expect to land or take off on time.  Never expect to get your baggage (and this time, it's not the airline's fault).  Never expect to be able to find a seat at your gate or when you're eating.  Never expect a relaxing atmosphere before a long flight.  Never expect to get what you order at any of the "restaurants."  Never expect free WiFi.

And never fly through DFW if you can help it.

I seem to be traveling a lot through this airport, so I'm starting to figure out where to go and when.  They've always got the faltscreens and televisions running but unlike certain irports (um, DCA, IAD) they'l play ESPN (not CNN or MSNBC) and they'll actually play different games. There's this amazing Burrito Place too, so don't be fooled by the Cosi next door or that Sushi place.  Worth the trip if you're not in terminal D (I think it's D).  If you had to be stranded in an airport, this one ain't bad.  Great BBQ and great irish pub too.

This isn't the worst airport I've encountered, but it is certainly not my airport of choice.

Bigger is not better.  The spread out layout of the terminals drives me insane.  Don't book a change of airlines with DFW as your layover destination.  I can envision so many people missing their flights because of this.

The security screener was beyond rude.  He made sure to hike his pants up, cross his arms, and bark orders as if he owned the place.  A few others in line with me were certain he was going to pummel this old woman because she wasn't responding to his orders fast enough.

Once at my gate there were zero places to charge my laptop/cell phone/etc unless I wanted to pay to use the silly little kiosk.  The same goes for internet.  I know I'm spoiled flying in and out of PDX, but seriously, it's sad.  Why don't you charge me to breathe the air?!

My first experience with this airport was getting stuck on the tram at midnight and having to go around at least 2 times because the layout and directions sucked so bad.

2nd time in wasn't bad at all...we walked right into Terminal A and were able to get a checkered cab into Fort Worth fairly quickly. On the way home, we were chatted up by one of the baggage screeners about the Patriots and when we left our bag there, they called us pretty quickly.

Mostly friendly staff and a Dunkin Donuts. Excellent combo.

OK, things are sure much bigger in Texas. I tip my hat off to you. The only problem with that is, why did you have to make your airport as huge as it can be!? Seriously!? It was like it's own city in the middle of nowhere!!

The fact you have an elevated train system is cool and all, but your signs where nowhere to be found and it's so easy to get lost, even when your comprehension of English is great.

First of all, my dang flight coming in late for my friggin' transfer wasn't helpful. Then, taking a train that was going completely further away from the terminal I was supposed to go wasn't great either. Seriously, if you saw my reaction, it would've probably won me an Oscar....

*Walks into elevated train, only one in my car*

Thinks to myself..cool, that's my terminal (towards the left), we'll be going there and I'll be on time. Woot.

*doors close.....starting to move AWAY from the terminal*

- as this happens I press my face on the glass....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

Long story short, it took to the OTHER end of this huge city that is an airport, but I made it to my connecting flight. *Phew.

Please, please, please, put better directions/signs on which way the dang train is going!!!

DFW is in collusion with thunderstorms.

If you have to fly to Dallas (or Ft Worth, for some reason . . . i don't know, maybe you sell agricultural products?) you are invariably sent to this ungainly airport.

Actually, it's more like 4 airports that were built successively.  Terminal D (the international terminal) is actually really nice.  Recently updated, chairs for actual humans , and even a spare electrical outlet or two . . . is not bad.

OK, that ends the positive portion of this review.  The other terminals suck.

For Terminals A, B, & C . . . well just think 1970.  You know, kinda like the decorations some oil tycoon would have chosen for his office (i keep looking for a stuffed deer head hung from one of the gate entrances.

So, lets say you ignore comfort and design, you're only concerned about convenience.  Then you will be giddy with rage for the 2 hour process of getting to the rental car "center" (which is located somewhere near the Oklahoma border), obtaining your econobox, and trying to locate civilization through the maze of roads and exit ramps leading nowhere.  And this all assumes that you're not arriving between April - November.  If so, please add 2-6 hours for the daily thunderstorm delay.

Cancel your reservation now and book through Love Field (DAL).  At least the thunderstorms aren't on the payroll there.

I had about a two hour layover here this afternoon, between San Antonio and Oakland, and surprisingly I kind of enjoyed it.

I had to take that nifty little sky-train (I don't know what its called) to the terminal that housed all the D-gates, which I thought was a much better option than trying to walk it. Is that even possible to do without leaving the airport?

Anyway, once I got to my gate, I decided to walk around. Most of the restaurants on the upper level were closed, I assume because it wasn't quite lunch time yet, but the ones on the lower level were booming. I remember a bagel/breakfasty place, Fuddruckers, a candy store, and a burger place, among others. There was also a wine shop, a duty free shop, and a L'Occitane store, again, among others.

The people watching was amazing; Dallas, or at least the airport, has some tacky ass people. Hot pink blush, bad perms, and matching denim outfits. Yee haw!

The thing that won me over, though, was the musical art installation in front of gate D-16 (see the photo). I don't know if its permanent, but it looked like it may be. It's called "Circling", and its by an artist named Christopher Janney. Basically, you walk around and around between these panels of blue glass, and musical notes or other sounds play in an eerily soothing tune. I walked around in it for quite some time (like a weirdo) between my people watching and store exploring. It definitely helped pass the time, and I truly hope it's a permanent fixture. Had it not been there, I'd rate DFW an average 3 stars, or maybe even a dull, boring 2 stars.

I like that this airport is clean, and the security check was fast and efficient. I utilized the Hyatt right at the airport, which was very nice, I took the escalator right into the terminal in the morning-- ready for take-off. The air train was straightforward. I prefer this airport to ORD and JFK, but still like ATL better, as it goes for big airports.

This is one huge and organized airport. I've flown out of some big airports in my time, but this has to be one of the largest.

I had a short layover on American Airlines. On two separate days I was going to have to be transferring from one bulding to another. The reason? My American Eagle plane flew in to a smaller terminal and I was needing to connect to a full jet.

So how did I get from one terminal to another? I took Sky LInk. This is a fairly new system that moves you quickly from one terminal to another. I remember traveling through this airport before the Sky Link system and it was a total nightmare. You'd be walking for minutes on end, rushing from one gate to another all in the hopes that you'd make your connecting flight. Sky Link has totally made this transition much simpler.

The other thing I like about this airport, is that if you have a lengthy layover, there are plenty of things to keep you distracted. There is a multitude of restaurants and shops, plus you get to watch CNN while waiting at your gate.

Sorry DFW, but you only get 3 stars. I might have given 3.5, but thats not an option. I'm a frequent traveler and live in Dallas so that means I'm at DFW - A LOT. I'll list likes and dislikes to keep this short.

Likes: Big, Lots of flights, separated baggage claims, the fact that there is a check in and security check point for about every 5 or so gates/flights so the lines are usually pretty short and the skylink.

Dislikes: My gate almost always changes, my flight is delayed about 50% of the time, my luggage was ALMOST lost once - but magically appeared when I started to file a complaint, I've waited 30+ min for bags more than once, I almost never get back to the terminal I left from so even though I've paid the highest parking fee to park close in it will still take me 15 min or so to get to my car, the fact that theres NO ELEVATORS that I've found in the parking garages that aren't in the  new international terminal.

I think that's it for now. Overall - I'll keep using DFW bc I have to, but it usually annoys me at least once per trip.

The D-wing is the nicest airport "experience" I've ever had. Really cool art, tons of places to grab a GOOD bit to eat, and a 7-11 style store! With Slurpee-esq drinks! All airports should have a quick market like this.

This is the airport I usually have a layover at when I come visit my family (there are no direct flights).   I arrived this morning at 5:00AM.   I was glad to see that there were some places open to provide something to drink.  Granted normally that would be wine at the winery but that was too early for wine.  I was just glad to get more water and a doughnut.  Gets a star for having a winery in the American Terminal.

Sigh.......I hate this airport.

It is such a chaotic experience.  I must have ridden that stupid Sky Link about ten times.  American just kept changing my gate and terminal around.  It was so stressful.

The last time they changed it, I barely had any time to make my flight.  I asked someone if they felt I could make it and would they call to make sure I wouldn't miss it and the woman looked at me like I was crazy, interrupted me, and told me to go right now and hopefully I would make it.

Also, the food choices for a vegetarian were dreadful. They had lots of cool looking healthier options there but I tried four or five different places and they all were closed for some reason.  It was the middle of the day and it was really crowded at the airport.   Not sure why so many places were closed.  I ended up eating at a Bennigans, which was ok but nothing great by any means.

Getting through security was a nightmare.  People were cutting through the lines, shoving people, going into the VIP/elite lines when they were just regular folk like me, and everyone was just rude.  I didn't find the airport to be organized at all.

Hopefully my company won't make me go back to that airport.  From what I heard, most of the folks at our conference ran into trouble at the airport.

DFW, you have improved since the bad old days when changing terminals was like attempting to perform brain surgery in the dark with one lousy candle and a spoon, but you're still one of my least favorite airports.

I think I've probably been delayed getting out of DFW more than any other airport I frequent, and that is seriously annoying.

The two stars are mostly for the random vending machines that are all over the place.  Learn a language!  Buy an IPod! Charge your cell phone!  Try Proactive!  Seriously, is there anything you guys haven't put in a vending machine yet?  Too funny.

Had a lay-over here, and the terminal I had to go to was on the other side of the AA terminal.  So confusing to find a skylink tram and read the signs.  Needless to say, I was late for boarding, 5 minutes more of confusion and I would have been lost.

Both my flights left on time, so that's why i'm giving them 2 stars

Dunkin Donuts. Located in A28, B7, and E6. Quite possibly the only 3 reasons to fly into DFW.
